- Great day out in New Zealand filming Trucks in Christchurch and Otaki, Weather was a bit rough but we managed to get some clips for your enjoyment =)
You will see Kenworth which has some of the nicest looking rigs out here, other trucks are Kenworth, Mack, Mercedes-Benz, Scania , Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Daf western star, CAT ,International the odd Peter built and Renault?

Brilliant video, Christchurch is a beautiful city, was there on holiday, such a shame about the earthquake.
We had friends who lived on Orari St, sadly they lost their house, my wife and I still look at the photos outside the cathedral and on the trams.
We both hope to come back someday, sadly we won’t see our friends anymore as they have both passed away after the earthquake.

No lie, got myself dizzy. After 10 minutes I was amazed that with all the blindside merging there weren't more accidents. Then I remembered that you guys have the steering wheel on the other (wrong) side! Guess that helps. LOL
haha no no i think its on the right side ;)
@@newzealandtrucks here with us in South Africa too ...Our steering is on the right side as well...simillar to NZ
it's really going to be tough when you drive in the middle (EV) and, won't their two blind sides.

Nah mate, we in NZ drive on the 'correct' (left) side of the road. We enter 'round abouts' in a 'clockwise' direction (like analogue clocks and watches), instead of that silly anti-clockwise nonsense, like the rest of the 'Napoleonized' world.
Thanks for my long awaited fix of some very beautiful trucks. Man, volvo, scania, daf we have here in Ireland 🇮🇪 the others we dream about.
We have a company here in Northern Ireland called manfreight but they have nothing as impressive as them

You don't see many ERFs anymore. 09:15 Not even in England where they were made, and a double drive to boot. Nice catch.
A lot of Pommie trucks disappeared quite a while back. Still see a few ERF, Foden and Atkinson's on the roads, but not many. Bedford use to be common in NZ up through the 1970's, but got amalgamated with Isuzu from Japan.

Maybe it is optical. But can anybody tell me what is the max HEIGHT of the trailer in N-Z?? It looks they are around the 450 cm mark. And what is the max length of a 4 axle truck and the a-frame trailer behind it. Like to build 1 of those in scale 1-24 and RC 1-14.

Found it whit my friend Google. 4.25 meters High groos weight 50 tonnes and overall lenght 22 meters.

Exactly. More axles cheaper it is for RUC. No 80,000lbs here more up in 120,000 mark these days.

@@dallasfrost1996 yeah i know mate i am from the deep south. One i know of he bought it from usa landed here 3 axle tipper/dumper, long nose. Just said in the title or description peterbuilts none in vid tho? I am a fan of 8 axles or above 🤣🎄
