For what its worth, where I live the popeyes chicken sandwich is only 3.99. So I think its slightly more value than chicfila. Although popeyes will NEVER match chicfilas service. Also you can get bacon on a chicfila sandwich.

The KFC one is good though, at least in my area. I think people forget that the quality of either Chic-Fila-A, Popeyes, or KFC is dependent on individual storefronts. Rather than being loyal to a brand, go by which storefront has the best individual quality.

The one thing that gets me is the pickles. Popeyes' pickles are a little thicker and more often than not, seem fresher than Chick fila's soggy, thin, torn pickles. I've also had wayyyy more chick fila sandwiches since there is one on my college campus and the Popeyes sandwich is a great change of pace. Honestly tho if I had to pick one, I think the Popeyes sandwich takes the cake. Also I usually get the meal and I'd rather have Popeyes' cajun fries than Chick Fila's waffle fries that last about 30 seconds and then are hard to eat stale.
Reveiwbrah brings the aplomb and classiness of a New York Times food writer(minus the pretentiousness plus a love of fast food)to the everyman. Keep up the great work!

It's 6.7/10 vs 7.3/10 now but not final... When you look at CFA and their track record for being one of the cleanest fast food restaurants you can eat at in the past 15-20 years, and then consider Popeye's is usually in my experience one of the dirtier ones...
I'm sure once Popeye's is done with this PR campaign and both companies go back to their standard operating procedure, the CFA sandwich will stick close to that 7.3/10 rating and the Popeye's will sink down to a sub 5, lol
Also for some people who cannot get over how amazing the Popeye's chicken sandwich is, if you want a quarter cup of mayonnaise on your sandwich, CFA offers that as a packaged condiment you can smother on their sandwich yourself o/

Popeyes never stood a chance
I finally tried the Popeyes last month after all the hype a while back. Does it live up to the hype? I dunno, but it's damn good. I really like breading, the mayo, the bun... pickles. It's really tasty. Chick-fil-A was always decent. Nice to get every once in a while, but last time I had it, I actually had two sandwiches, and half way through the second one, I said out loud "I'm bored".
