Lycan is a philosophy for life every bit as much as it is a place to train self defense.
David has spent more than 30 years in and around the martial arts industry. Starting with more traditional martial arts such as Tae Kwon Do, Goju-ryu karate and classical (Japanese) Jiu Jitsu, David has since expanded into various other systems along the way. He has trained extensively in Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, Israeli Krav Maga, various systems of Filipino Martial Arts such as Kali, old Keysi Fighting Method, and Defence Lab fight science.
David has also spent a considerable amount of time in teaching several of these systems. It is his belief that we all have the potential to not only have the means and skill to defend ourselves in dire circumstances, but that we should also use our training as a channel to better improve our everyday lives. David considers himself a lifetime student, and while he may be teaching, he is always learning and trying to improve.

Are you referring to Grand Tuhon, Leo T. Gaje, Jr.?
@@lycandefensive yes ! Is n't he fantastic ?
He is absolutely fantastic! I gain a lot of inspiration of his new stuff and the old.
What does SMF stand for?
SMF stands for "Saevio Militaris Faber".
To rage violently, in a precise military method, with master skill.
@@lycandefensive Nice!!
Thank you!! I think it instills a certain mindset that is one I enjoy and is pretty prominent in the training.
@@lycandefensiveoh wow ! Is that Italian ? I heard the Italian Army had knife wielding soldiers in World War 2. But of course The Italian Army got pushed back in World War 2 .
Maybe out of Ethiopia anyway. I am not so sure about that . ❤❤
It is Latin. Yeah, the sword has a long history in warfare, and it's use gave tremendous attributes. However, with the progression of technology, the sword has been mostly phased out. I imagine it'll make a return though, at least hopefully.
