ahaha i'm the girl in the blue sweater who got brought up for March of the Falsettos! guys, this production was so so so good. i sobbed throughout the entire second act. the NAMES quilt being brought out at the end was such a good choice. congrats to everyone in the cast :)
Omg the baseball tees with the numbers, mendels says 42 which unless it has another meaning there usually symbolizes the answer the life the universe and everything (it was just towel day a few days ago!!), Whizzers says 69 which is everyone’s favourite silly number that symbolizes his constant sexual activity leading to his demise, and Marvin’s having 01 symbolizing his egotistical natures, and Jason’s being 13 because he is our favourite unlucky child. I mean the numbers definitely could have more reference to the original productions (march of the falsettos/falsettoland) or even in trousers but I’m also the type of person who looks for every detail and thinks out anything that could possibly be a reference to anything else.
42 could also be referring to Jackie Robinson, the Dodgers’ batter. I think it’s likely since we know Mendel is a Dodgers fan because he references Sandy Koufax, another dodger.
Got confused for a moment by the last scene until I realized the connection between the names being laid down. Beautiful and devastating. God, this production is good.
That’s because most of the choreo, blocking, and direction are shamelessly stolen from the 2016 Broadway production. These poor actors were probably told to just copy instead of making their own choices.
@@prozack1312 calm down, jesus. Every production takes inspiration from other places, especially other iterations of the same show. It’s not like everything has to be entirely different, which a large chunk of it very much is. Go direct your own if you want it to be brand new.

Oh, seriously! I loved her take on the character. She felt very forceful, but without coming off as uptight. There was a sort of joy about her, which was a unique and refreshing character choice. It's also the first time I've seen a Charlotte and thought, yeah, that's an actual queer woman. The chemistry she shared with Cordelia was _very_ believable, and such fun to watch. When she sings, "do you know how great my life is?" it finally, actually feels like she truly loves her life. I never got that vibe from other productions.
As someone whose favourite show is Falsettos and has watched about a million subpar community theatre productions of it, this is by far the best small-scale production of the show I've seen. First of all - such a great show to do with thrust staging, and the use of set and space was incredible. Some of the moments in The Chess Game had me extremely impressed. On the topic of visuals, the costuming in March of the Falsettos (as well as bringing audience members onto the stage) was genius. The baseball tees with symbolic numbers on the back are so beautiful. Also, shoutout to the cast!! They all did incredible and gave extremely fresh takes on the roles. I especially loved your Mendel who I can confidently say is on par with Mendel performers in professional productions of the show. Overall, phenomenal production that I even preferred to a couple professional productions of the show (talking to you, 2019 off-west end production), great job!!!
Clicked on this to see 4 Jews and ended up watching the whole thing. This cast gets it in a way I haven’t seen before (except maybe the OG production). Gotta say, I love this Marvin way more than Borle, actually terrifying in the angry moments and an amazing voice. The direction was also beautifully thought out. Sorry proshot, this is now my go-to production, congratulations everyone!
i know falsettos like the back of my hand, and WOW this blew me away. i was laughing and crying so much, even knowing what was coming, and so many parts felt fresh (e.g. the floor as the chessboard)! everything was incredible. the entire cast ate, but imo mendel DEVOURED.
This was incredible! Loved everyone's energy, especially how much raw emotion Whizzer expressed with just his voice in You Gotta Die Sometime. Amazing actors, made me cry
I love this production! The chemistry between every member of the cast is stellar, it feels genuinely like I'm watching real people go about their lives- but via song. I felt the emotion in every song and number and you can tell the cast is enjoying themselves, which makes the full thing all the more electrifying. Mendel's actor in particularly stands out to me, effortlessly funny while still staying a grounded character- you can tell through and through that he likes Trina and I think his awkwardness is played up just enough to be palpable without crossing into uncomfortability territory. I love Marvin's actor as well, he feels disturbingly real both in his highs and lows- that is a man who is feeling every emotion in real time- it's hard to do shows like these without risking coming across as over-rehearsed but it feels stunningly fresh and in the moment the entire time. I love all the performances so I won't harp on and on but special props to the costuming. I think their costumes all are really good (ESPECIALLY) everything they put Whizzer in. The staging is fantastic, it never felt like the actors were just placed onstage to take up space. You can tell every spot they stand in was deliberate. And the Act II opener carried with it a frenetic energy that I've never seen before (even in the Revival proshot) which made the 'It's about time to grow up - don't you think' land even harder. Again, you can tell everyone on stage understood their characters and had fun-and them having fun made the whole production just a delight to watch. I cannot give this enough praise. I also think this production really understands that while this is a musical full of gorgeous musical moments and chances to show off vocal skill, it is first and foremost about the story and emotions. The actors seem to be unafraid of looking a bit silly or focusing more on making sure the emotion is clear than hitting the picture perfect notes. This isn't to say the singing isn't fantastic, because oh my lord it is, but you can tell they're more focused on conveying emotion than they are on showing off their vocals. And it makes everything pop all the more.

i LOVE this cast so much everyone gets it!!!! i could say something about everyone but this comment would be miles long, everyone just absolutely killed it and i'm only halfway through. i don't even know if i'll watch the end today because i've cried at this musical a lot in the past week but i just know it's amazing 🙏❤😭
update 1 i'm at unlikely lovers and i'm dead. i'm already dead. the harmony on "to love" TOOK ME OUT BACK AND KILLED ME THIS IS NO JOKEEEEEE i genuinely physically feel music and harmonies like that like. ohhh my heart ohhhh man. this is incredible their voices are so strong

update 3 tag yourself im every single person sniffling and crying in the audience. what would i do destroys me without fail every time it's baddd it's real bad. ohh i feel sick. the "one hour more" part broke me completely i can't do this!!!! every time it gets me!!!! i knew i'd be sobbing by now without fail. jesus these people are so good i can't even think of the words it's just like. WOW? marvin and whizzer blend and work so well together it's actually gonna make me cry out all my tears!! ahh!!!! i feel like i can only repeat myself because there's just no words to explain how i feel here other than heartbroken and devastated and amazed and the names at the end just ripped my soul out of my body ohh there it goes i need to take a couple really deep breaths and watch something happy after this i will never be the same
final verdict: holy shit!!!!! thank you for coming to my ted talk

The Lesbians are amazing! So much chemistry with each other and the rest of the cast!
THIS IS AMAZING I AM SCREAMIMG
i've seen countless variations of this show and while I always get teary eyed at the ending I can usually hold it together at this point, but man, the NAMES quilts being brought out fucking ruined me.
