Trina, Jason, and Whizzer sitting still during the second song was ON POINT! I don't even think they blinked!!! I know it's odd to fixate on characters...doing nothing, but, they froze so well and I'm really impressed!!!
Update: EVERYONE IS SO GOOD AT FREEZING!!
i love the tango in the instrumental break of thrill of first love. that’s exactly how i imagined it
Hate to be that person... but it's actually waltz
AahhhHH THE SET DESIGN IS SOO G O O D
and then 2016 falsettos is like
*_B I G C U B E_*
Marvin and Whizzer have amazing chemistry!
i love how they did the thrill of first love! the anger, the desperation, i’ll forever be a revival girly but this got the point of them not agreeing and it being a problem across really really well.
that marvin can SING! he’s amazing!
I know this praise is 20 years late but this production is amazing. The choreography is absolutely fabulous, and I love the actors’ chemistry with one another! Jessica Shure’s performance is very memorable, thank you for uploading this :)
I LOVE HOW THEY DID MARCH OF THE FALSETTOS IT WAS SO FUN AND CREATIVE
Omg when Marvin couldn’t get his shirt off I died 😂😂😂
natalie i liked how whizzer gave up and was frustrated with everything which was very different from the professional productions
1:33
Everyone calling Marvin a bitch is actually the funniest thing
8:40 I👏C👏O👏N👏I👏C
8:47 okay that's epic
this is literally amazing! i have watched the revival hundreds of times, but i love this version so much!
this marvin and whizzer are exceptional 💘💝💖💓💗💖💝
I wish I could sing so I could do performances like this. Everyone always looks like they are having fun.
whizzer and marvin are brilliant in this, their chemistry is amazing!!!!😍
this is definitely my favorite production of falsettos when it comes to visuals, set, choreography etc.... this is such a perfect stage for this show, and the lighting makes it feel so dreamlike
I was really waiting for tryna to sing I'm breaking down but they left it out this version
honestly crying
She has so much character I have to hear this actress sing it pls 😭
Ik I’m late but it was cut, probably because the person filming was caught
Whizzer's perm though
March of the Falsettos looks very Clockwork Orange in this version. Love it!
AWESOME PRODUCTION!!! this is so good, i thought marvin and whizzer’s relationship was especially well portrayed, and the set looks amazing! :)
I love the blocking so much my goodness
I cant tell if that fall in thrill of first love was intentional 😭
It def was, u can see how marven has a wide stance at the dip so that he can let whizzer down slowly and then pretend to fall on top of him
God, I adore this production so much. This is quite possibly my favorite rendition of Marvin and Whizzer especially... and Trina's actress... so good!!!
i'm one minute in and i already know that i'm gonna like this production more than the revival (i love the revival, but this just hits different). it might even top the obc, which is top tier for me!!
edit: vocally, nothing can beat obc for me, but that trina? she's my favorite trina. i also really love how their timbre is different from the obc, but you can hear their influence from it. and also i love their different rest lengths, it's just so good!
the choreography is absolutely beautiful here, i love how organic it is. it manages to show everybody's personalities and be funny and dance oriented at the same time. it's definitely my favorite as a whole show, while the obc is my favorite for music.
edit: omg i love how march of the falsettos happens while trina's sleeping, it helps clarify the scene so much more (and also adds to the unnerving quality it has)!!
I am not even six minutes in, and this may be the best production of Falsettos I have ever seen
but whERE'S BREAKING DOWN
asolomone I'm Breaking Down wasn't included in the off-broadway recordings, which is what this production is using. 😊
I think it's from In Trousers.
@Leah Crossan it came back in 1992 in the first falsettos 2 act
Unlike what everyone else is saying, it looks like she did the number, but the person just stopped recording and started recording after it was over. I don’t know why the person stopped and then started the recording but something could have happened to the camera or they were caught.
BeAuTiFuL
I love this set!!!
what an adorable Jason!
38:23 drug trip
37:48 the fact that trina has a spiderman blanket is hilarious
This one!! This one is my favorite rendition of falsettos!! Especially Marvin and Whizzer- Absolute perfect casting!! I also really like this interpretation of Mendel and it works super well with the story. I hope you dont mind me asking if you have the names of the cast members?? It would help a lot to not say "My favorite Marvin is Northwestern University 2004 Falsettos Production Marvin", its a bit of a mouthful haha
updated in the description!
Very fast!
I think they were inspired by the March of the Falsettos original cast album, which sped up a lot of songs so it could all fit on one record.
Yall, this Marving would be a GREAT Whizzer

What they cut the mothers part out of the opening? Her belting slavery at the top of her lungs is epic to me me
they r going off of the old falsettos ( march of the falsettos- falsettoland or the obc version of falsettos ) so there isnt trina belting slavery. Hope this helped :DD
Trina= iconic
WHY WAS MARVIN SO AGGRESIVLY THOWING PILLOWS AND A SUITCASE AT WHIZZER IT WAS MORE AGGRESIVE THAN THE SUITCASE KICK IN THE 2016 REVIVAL
*did she beat the child?*
yesyesyes
why did they skip Im Breaking Down
Myles Harris that song was from 'In Trousers', the sort of prequil to the story, Falsettos is based off of 'The Marvin Trilogy' from the 1980s Act 1 being 'March of The Falsettos, and Act 2 being 'Falsettoland' so 'In Trousers' wasn't included, whereas the 2016 revival they put it in
@@_beanastronaut_ it's actually in the show but I'm guessing they just used the march of the falsettos and falsettoland scripts and put them together here
@@_beanastronaut_ I'm Breaking Down was in In Trousers but they (whoever made Falsettos, I can't remember at this time) later removed it when making March of the Falsettos I think
im breaking down was made for in trousers 1979 and only featured in both the original and revival of in trousers, march of the falsettos, and falsettos 2016 revival. this was (obviously) way before the 2016 revival, so its based off of falsettos 1992, which doesnt include jm breaking down
@@astaroth_angel i'm way late to this but falsettos 1992 did have i'm breaking down, i think it's just this recording is just clips of all the songs put together and they forgot i'm breaking down
Who is Jessica Shure?
i'm guessing trina but i'm not sure
mae mae Ik this is realll late but for anybody in the future watching, yes it is the actress who plays Trina!
this mendel sounds so much like brandon uranowitz
Mendel didn't have the same stage presence as Brandon Uranowitz
and NEITHER had the presence of chip zien lmao
brandon uranowitz was in the 2016 revival.. this is a college recreation that was made in 2004. come on
whoever was playing whizzer was going so hard on gay stereotypes its uncomfortable like WOAH dude
took me out of a lot of the nuance in his character
yeah man, everyone else's body language helps us understand their character, but whizzer just screams sl*tty boy toy... like wtf.
@@poppunktwinkledork thank god someone agrees
_half-jewish_
bro ive never watched/read killing stalking but im getting the feeling that's how the first love song is
i once watched a video essay on killing stalking and i gotta say this could not be any further removed from killing stalking
What the fuck💀
Where’s I’m breaking down :(
i'm breaking down was originally in in trousers but was added to falsettos when it got on broadway. to me, this production seems to be based on march of the falsettos and falsettoland instead of the broadway combination
jason was.... not good 😬
lmao I was searching the comments and worried I was the only one thinking this... there were some okay moments but a lot that were... not good.
and he also is a kid too
Whizzer truly encapsuls the twink image
Is it sad that this college production has more chemistry between any characters than the original BROADWAY cast does?
the og broadway cast had AMAZING chemistry wdym lol
This is one of comments that made me wish the dislike button on TH-cam comments did anything
Am I the only one hoping that marvin and whizzer have a girlfriend in the audience and they are like we should make our boyfriends be together they are better that way
Kitten Tail yep... ur the only one... pretty creepy...
What the hell dude
what..? Yes, yes you are the only one
tell me you're a fujoshi without telling me youre a fujoshi
@@abboiip 100% this. Creepy fetishistic stuff.
