I’ve just bought some very young GBR’s so a wee bit to go before they’ll be ready to pair off. So this video is just great viewing, thanks 🙏👍😂 I’ve subbed and liked 👍
Love watching this. My 2 GBR just spawned and laid eggs for the 3rd time 2days ago. I got them July 2020. I just have been letting nature take it’s course. I’m Hoping they will learn not to eat the eggs. We will see. Still experimenting with them. So we will see. But the video definitely helps me.
I recieved my GBR yesterday i couldn't be more Happier his fish are great i had no problem what so ever. If someone is in doubt don't worry order with confidence

You lucky people. Here in Cali? I bet the number of aquarists who have fishrooms has really dropped as water is no longer cheap. I hug my big tank like its gold!
Super kool breeding setup Could you explain you method of artificially hatching eggs from start to finish? What you do for fry and water changes in white jugs and how often u feed and keep them in that container?
nice! what are the parameters of your tap water? (tds, ph, gh, kh?) What about lighting schedules....how long are lights on for the rams (and/or in the fishroom)?
ph around 7, the rest I don't know honestly. I've always said if I cant bred a fish with what I have available id pick another fish. lighting is partly random, turn on in morning and off late at night. (average 12 hours)
Awesome advice Sir Can you share what's the water parameters used for breeding them? Like Tds, ph etc Can you use vinegar eels or microworms instead of bbs?
I have 2 males in my 125g community tank and they get along great together. I wanted to add a couple females to get the males to color up more and see their behavior. Would adding just 2 females to the tank be a bad idea? And would the males become aggressive towards the other fish? Im not looking to breed them Though I have a very densely planted set up and some natural caves.
Hey I live in pittsburgh and I'd love to keep some rams successfully! I've heard we have some pretty hard water and I just ordered a test strip to test out how hard my water is. What hardness do you keep your rams at and what temp do you recommend? Thanks from a fellow pittsburgher!
I've learned with rams and all fish (from guppies to discus) fish want clean water with consistent water parameters. coming from the same area as me, I only used my tap water and heated to around 80 degrees with great results over time.
Thank you for this video blue rams I needed I am going to order some from your website but after the big trip that I have I don’t want to take any chances so after the trip I will be making you an order but thank you
How do you prevent breeding. I dont want another repeat of a small 60 litre fish tank with 100+ scrawny pale arsed fish in it. Dont want another fishpocalypse wher i leave them to die in a bucket in the garden cos its totally outta control. And to think when they first had fry I was excited and protected them haha
Lots of people are extremely salty over the truth i mention. I have a pair of democratfish a male 3spot blue gourami🔵 and Female opaline gourami🔵 and 1 single male bolivian ram cichlid🚩 hes republican and wil be forever single period 😊

I'm starting to breed african Cichlids I'm about an hour from pittsburg. Nice videos I just subscribed great job
Do you leave the breeding pair in the tank or do you remove them
Why do you use white non see-through containers to raise the fry?
Super kool breeding setup
Could you explain you method of artificially hatching eggs from start to finish? What you do for fry and water changes in white jugs and how often u feed and keep them in that container?
How do you regulate your water temp in the Tupperware?
#SQUADUP LOOKING NICE😎✌💪
thanks for the video bro ...... !
after bredding how long should i wait until I can get them back together without the risk the male kills the female?

If i want to grow they till 2 inch then how much gallon aquarium i need to keep 50 of them ?? Also how many water change
Why did you removed the ram fry from the parents? Don’t they usually take care of the fry after they hatch kind of like cichlids do?
most of the time they eat them
so do you not heat the bowls of fry or is your room temp high or is it okay to keep them lower?
My room is heated, the eggs do need to be around 80 degrees
Where can I find a pair to purchase?
So what % of fry would actually survive to adulthood?
What kind of yarn is that?
acrylic
you should think of using a syringe i can suck up brine shrimp and dose them with exact amounts of shrimp
Do you use Meth Blue with the eggs? How many drops per gallon?
yes. use 2-3 drops in 1/4 gallon
Thank you for this video blue rams I needed I am going to order some from your website but after the big trip that I have I don’t want to take any chances so after the trip I will be making you an order but thank you

@@pittsburghpets3759 which one is the best radio male /female?
I did your method of removing the eggs, and they now have something like dust over them, any tips?
make sure they have air and can add methylene blue
I think my female GBR has paired up with my gold ram because they hang out with each other she follows him around the tank
