Wow..... You did it! Thanks for taking me along. I truly enjoyed the trip, coming along with you for the entire journey.
👏 🥳 🇺🇸/🇬🇧
Thank you for supporting me, you were always there, every time 🙏
Nice job our kid. Those flowers ❤ Your old Mum would be thrilled you had such an amazing adventure & very happy you didn’t get snaffled by a bear. Congratulations on an epic hike xx
Thanks dudes, it was epic 🤩
Spectacular scenery, thank you
You obviously enjoyed your trail experience. Beautiful wildflowers and mountain scenery. As you stated...." the greatest adventure on my life ", something to reflect on for your entire life. I have such admiration for anyone who can hike 2650 miles of really challenging terrain. I'm happy for you. Congratulations!
Honestly i think about the trail every day....
Congrats on an amazing accomplishment! You hiked every centimeter and you documented your journey as well! You really persevered!! And you got flowers on the last few days. Thanks for taking us with you and I hope to see more from you very soon.
Thanks Jackie! You’ve been very supportive and I really appreciate it 🤩
Just wow ❤ What a journey you’ve experienced and can’t thank you enough for sharing these videos, they really have been an inspiration and now on TH-cam will be an inspiration for generations to come 🙂 Congratulations Owen on hiking every cm of the PCT there can’t be many these past years who can say that, particularly an International hiker confined to 6 months. Amazing.
Your turn soon pal 🤩
Congratulations, Owen. A real achievement. Chuffed that you got to the cascades in bloom for the final section.
Cheers for taking us with you.
Thanks Paula. It was great to get out of the snow and land onto all those flowers. Carpeted for miles and miles 😳
Epic! Congratulations on finishing the fire closure bits you missed in 2022. Beautiful grand finale.
Thankyou MamWelder! I hope you enjoyed the journey ❤️
Congratulations babe! What an awesome achievement 😊 Great final video! Beautiful wildflower scenes 😍 I can’t wait to join you on the next one 🥾 🥾 x
I’ll drag you up the trail babe! x
Well done lad! I can remember watching your pre-hike gear video two and a bit years ago and now, finally, after such disappointment, you get to touch that elusive monument. Brought a tear to my eye it did, looked like you were a bit choked up too. Thanks for your cheery commentary and beautiful photography along the way. It’s been a great adventure.
Thanks Dread! I remember you being there at the start. Thanks for supporting me. We got there!
Epic. The flowers are amazing also.
It was so hard to bring out their princess on video tbh. Absolutely amazing 🤩
Huge congratulations on such an achievement. I followed every step and enjoyed your coverage and the way you described it. Safe journey home
Thank you for following Karen. You guys kept me going the whole way 🤩
Woot won't! Congratulations, we'll done. Looks like you had a great time with epic scenery and flowers. What's next? I'll keep tuned. Sandra in Roseburg.
Thanks Sandra! I’ve got my eye on the Colorado trail tbh 🤔
Congratulations! job well done thank you for taking us along on your journey 😎
Thank you Linda, it was my pleasure to take us all up the trail together ❤️
YeeHaw! It’s a wrap. Watched every episode and enjoyed them all. After stumbling across you a couple of years ago at Tamarack Lakes and having a little chat it made these even more enjoyable. I recall you saying something about a mountain in the Sierra that you have been itching to climb. Maybe? Best of luck.
Yes Bruce! A great evening at Tamarack Lake!
The mountain is Matterhorn, surely a great excuse to come back over 😉
Hosts of wildflowers waving you through the last bit, how resplendent is mamma nature 💚 Reminded me a bit of Moo Land 😊 You have inspired me to get out in the Lakes more Daff and for that I thank you 🙏🌸
P.S where can I get myself some of those awesome sparkley bike handle tassles 🤔🤣
Well done buddy, what an incredible thing to have achieved...the only way is through 🥰
pretty amazing wasnt it Anna?
I'm glad if youre getting out more again :)
Loadsa local swimming spots too with spectacular scenery...bloody nitherin' mind, specially in winter 🥶 Proper mind emptying stuff 🧘♂️
Well, that‘s a wrap, no more PCT videos from Sparkle Lizard, which is too bad, but I do hope that you get to do the CDT at some point! And take us along, of course 😊
Your last videos really made me want to continue on the PCT again as well, that stretch of nature is just incomparable!
Wherever i end up il be bringing my trusty Go Pro. North Wales in two weeks actually...
You definitely need to get back out there Ivo x
Congratulations 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thankyou! Feels good to be finished 🤩
Congratulations 🎉🍾🥂 ✅
It took a little longer to complete but the reward has got to be sweeter !!
Amazing to be at the Northern Terminus :)
It’s looking like the PCT is becoming a two year trail with all the fire closures.
Heck, I expect that there may even be people that have to take Three years to actually complete. Many people had to skip hundreds of miles this year !!
Congratulations for the finish, it was indeed beautiful with the flowers, perfect timing, well done, and thanks for sharing 🎉😎👍
Is it the last PCT vid, or you will have a wrap up and maybe clue us on future hiking plans?
🙂
Thanks Anne, Im heading up to North Wales in a few weeks so ill make a vid then :)
So well done Mate. Congratulations on this accomplishment. I hope to do the same in the upcoming years. Congrats again. All the best. Cheers
Make sure you get out there Greg! Anyway I can help, get in touch x
@@LordQuiche thanks very much. I will definitely be in touch to get your advice regarding the parts of the pct that I will be doing. Also my lovely wife and I will be in the UK in the summer of 2026. Would love to meet up and buy you a pint if we can work it out. Cheers
@@gregzolob8992 we will make it happen! 🤩
Well done. Looking forward to your next adventure whatever that may be.
Thanks Ian. Making plans....
@@LordQuiche Excellent.
I didn't realize you returned to finish the spots you were kept from doing. Well done, sorry I missed you. Don't know how close you may have been. Congratulations!
Hello Young Tom!
Young, haha
@@tomstrickland4686 😂
I think you've still to hike:
- Islip Saddle to Cloudburst Summit (you road walked the Angeles Crest Highway)
- the PCT in Crater Lake NP (you hiked the rim trail alternate)
- the PCT across Benson Plateau, south of Cascade Locks (you hiked the Eagle Creek alternate)
??
Hmmm that’s actually a good point…is that the stretch after Little Jimmys? With the frog detour?
I do count the Rim alternate as PCT, either as a must-do on the trail or as ‘original trail?’
See also: Eagle Creek alternate 🤔
I can also think of an alternate I took down off a windy ridge, sometime after Tehachapi (?) to an old abandoned campsite, and back up to trail the next day. One of the best camp sites I stayed on the whole trip. Serene, pretty.
I guess I’ll be coming back again. Any excuse 😂
@@LordQuicheYes, the frog closure is from Eagle's Roost to Cooper Canyon. It's part of the section you road walked around, although you also road walked around more than that closure, so missed some open miles there. That closure has been in place since 2005, and will remain in place until *at least* December 31 2026.
And yes, if you took Eagle Creek, you also have 20ish PCT miles there south of Cascade Locks, across and down from Benson Plateau.
It's fun to try and fill in the gaps!
Well done Owen really enjoyed watching you suffering 😂 no really fantastic achievement let's see what you get up to next. Atb daz
lol thanks Daz, it’s fair to say that I met my quota for suffering on this trip 😂
Congratulations!!! You did it. Looks like someone stole the Canadian flag. There are some incredibly good people and there are some incredible assholes. See you on the CDT someday.
it was some kind of hybrid flag, a bit weird tbh!
Nice, did you film everything with your GoPro?
Yes I did, the macro shots were with my phone and a lense though. The GoPro is struggling a bit now tbh, it’s had a bashing. It resets it settings and any panning gets really jerky. I’ll need to upgrade soon….
Congrats! Washington is ridiculously stunning. How difficult did you find the grade not having your 'trail legs'? Asking just in case. 😉
Actually not too bad as I’d got the previous two sections in my legs and the snow traverses made me strong. Also I lost a bit of weight 😉
@@LordQuiche That whole trail is a magical place. Just beautiful from end to end. I will be going back. Sometime.
Give us a shout if youre ever around these parts 😊
Yes ma’am!
