- Last Summer I Solo hiked the Bomber Traverse trail in Hatcher Pass, Alaska. I spent a night in Mint Hut and a night near Bomber hut. The B29 plane crashed back in 1957 and can still be seen today!

The amount of work required for this film is simply incredible. You absolutely nailed the feeling. The vibe. The color. The sense of being all alone in a land of beauty. Thank you for continuing to inspire.
Drew is one of the best cinematographers of this generation. Anyone who disagrees with that can argue with a wall.
I just did. The wall fuckin demolished my dumbass.
afraid to say he is the best? why only one of the best? Weak statement
I stopped watching Kraig Adams once he switched to filming on his iphone and the videos lost its beauty. I'm glad there's people still out there lugging their heavy gear to make good quality shots like this!
Thanks for being here! Appreciate the support
The same thing happened to me. I used to watch Kraig Adams but by way of his minimalism, things really got worse. Hot take: Sometimes sensor size matters.
@@drewsimmswell it's not as good as your previous video my mom loves your videos with your car and your sweet kitchen
Kraigs adams lol
Always a good day when this man uploads 😊
I appreciate you being here man
Drew as a solo backpacker I have the deepest respect for the talent you have of capturing the true essence of the experience, thank you so much
Glad you enjoyed David! Definitely something special about being out there on your own
Drew, the number of times I said to myself "He's gotta turn around to get the camera at some point" ...and then you cut to a shot of you further away! Incredible work man. Very inspiring
I kept thinking..dang he has to walk back to get the camera on those cliffs and rocks. UGH. I would be exhausted too.
I'm thinking and hoping... some of those shots have to be from the drone just sitting stationary so he doesn't have to go back to get it.
Breathtaking footage! This is national geographic worthy. The quality of your video is like a cinematic masterpiece. Probably one if the most beautiful hiking videos i have seen. Cheers from Alaska.
This is incredible. The scenery and the drone shots are just jaw dropping. It must take so much effort to take all these shots from so many different angles and perspectives.
Yeah you are back, you were missed, greatness you are with your cinema graphics work
Beautiful footage well done
Thank you!
Amazing! I've been wanting to go explore this. Such an epic hike
Wow, what an amazing trip and footage. My mother 86 years also enjoyed watching!
Love to hear you guys are watching together! Thanks for the support
Can you share the gps route?
This is some of the best cinematography on TH-cam. Drew you are so talented and I simply love the artistic skills you have. Some of those shots climbing hand over fist and then to have to do it again to go retrieve that camera, you are definitely putting in the work and we certainly appreciate it.
This is one of your best videos Drew! I thoroughly enjoyed the soothingness and sounds of nature with beautiful visuals through your lens. Keep up the good work and inspiring all of us to get out in the nature.
Absolutely phenomenal video. The mountains are the best medicine for depression.
Awesome job Drew.!! Been wondering where you been and now the wait is worth the wait.2 thumbs up
.!! It keep company for my 8 shift graveyard.
Hello from sacramento,california
I've watched you since your early camping days. And now you are a bonafide nature cinematographer. I'm blown away by this video. thank you for this and keep up the good work.
This film epitomizes the idea "every frame a painting". Incredible work.

Great stuff drew. Looks like you put in some serious miles and elevation on this one. Always love the content.
This video should have WAY more views. Amazing planet earth style shots. Looking forward to the next one! Drew never disappoints 🙌
What a great video. Astounding, people don’t understand that just getting to the mint hut(red hut) is 8+ miles one way. This is an incredible video and I have been on these trails almost daily because they are in my backyard. I totally respect the time it took to get the video, bravo! It was nice to meet you.
Absolutely outstanding & entertaining video Drew.
As always we loved it & the film making was of an extremely high standard.
Absolutely beautiful landscape.
Your shots are out of this world. Always a wonderful meditative experience to watch your videos. Thanks for sharing :)

Breathtaking...I get to see the world and all its beauty through your lens....Thank you., I am too old to travel and didnt see much of the world. I had family that lived in Alaska but I never made it up there. I also hope to see you on a trip in your jeep soon too. I like those as well. I can't imagine sharing a hut with strangers. LOL
Who else remembers when Outdoor Boys did this hike? It's a good one!
Outdoor boys channel is too good!
Wow that was awesome. Thanks for all of the hard work to record it all.
Wonderful film Drew. I can't call it a TH-cam video because the quality and the trip are so much more advanced. Also enjoy your Instagram posts of wildlife. Second only to National Geographic. Thank you.
Good Job Drew - Unbelievable scenes there !!
Greetings from Greece !!

Incredible as always.
It's so incredible how this accident happened yet the nature surrounding it just found it's way winding through it. The streams twisting around the rubble and metal as though its part of the landscape. Incredible video as always
Incredible
Drew and TH-camr Kenny Song is a great cinematography also. Love Drew nature films.
Outstanding work. God Bless
Amazing cinematography as always!! Man must have been tough filming in that terrain. Great job 👍
How am i out of words... AND ITS NOT EVEN A MINUTE INTO THE VIDEO!
Спасибо большое, за такую прекрасную работу!
Edit:
For me, it feels like Long dark + Death stranding atmosphere - and it's awesome!
Not watched yet but cannot wait, save this for this evening.
Its amazing that the bomber is still so well preserved. Looks like it crashed yesterday. Very interesting.

Happy birthday! Love to hear that. Hope you guys have a great day
Ayyyy, he’s back!
There should be a friendly competition between the various TH-cam photo/videographers. Drew would probably win. National Geographic level stuff! By the way Drew - why not just use a drone for all the walking shots - save yourself miles of extra distance going back/forth to get the distant trail hiking shots. Get a DJI sponsorship :)
Hello from pakistan, drew
This is my first comment on youtube
Hello everyone
Man your vids are so cinematic, feels like i'm watchin netflix
Did you find Prometheus?😂Absolutely stunning filming as always! 30+ minutes = a ton of raw footage and editing! That's a lot of walking back for the camera too.
Damn Alaska really looks to be on another level, going to visit Montana and Colorado first and then head there
It is definitely one of a kind! Two good places to start though!
Top notch video quality man
Thanks man!
28:38 it reminds me The society of the snow 😢
Not everyone will understand but this guy is documenting it for generations .
Is there some HDR trickery with these drone shots? Nice to see you back Drew!
Boss shit like always drew
Amazing video
