SO INCREDIBLY ACCURATE. I’ve been back on this generation Suzuki for about four years now, and every finite detail Josh explains in the video is spot on. Even at a slower speeds as more of a vet rider myself, these bugs, and quirks can still be felt exactly the same. Much worse for fast guys! If you guys want to do a deeper dive on some of the modifications Josh talks about such as aftermarket exhaust, suspension set up and revalve, RMZ250 shock swap, FCP engine mounts, and just how much better you can make this bike, as well as how much weight you can shave with these mods (over 6 pounds!) then you will probably like this TH-cam series that I’ve been filming for you guys the past couple years. I’ve done every one of these mods to the RMZ450: Build The Ultimate Mortal Man's Suzuki RMZ450 th-cam.com/play/PL_oYXNbYADbLkcRG2Fo9zS68NK4_SumsI.html I do love this bike to death, so fun to ride once it dialed in. I must say I do love my new Suzuki RMZ450. Feels more compact, better/stronger built, and less top heavy compared to the Kawasaki which nobody gripes about. Actually compared to many other 450s on the show room floor that I sat on, the RMZ actually had stiffer suspension initially for my 205-210 lbs than others which seemed setup for 180lb riders. The RMZ isn’t any heavier than the older bikes from 2014-2018 or so from other Japanese bikes…. Which those seemed to kick ass back then and most riders today couldn’t take those bikes to their full potential let alone this 2023 RMZ. With a few parts changed out or modified it can drop weight very quickly, handle way differently and well the power can be moved anywhere you want
Got a 19 rmz 450 best thing I did was have Factory connections do the suspension they recommended 110mm bike floats like a witch on a broom now well worth the money
People complain about the Suzuki but you know, the Kickstarter it doesn’t bother me, the cable does not bother me, this Suzuki it is a compatible bike, I’ve seen it myself in Supercross making it up to the top 10, yes You need to finish the job by picking up the horsepower such as adding an exhaust system. But I’ll give it credit to Suzuki because it has always been a great bike in championship bike through those years. Some people do not understand it’s not just the bike, it’s the rider.
I understand everyone wants to throw shade at Suzuki. But not every brand is trying to make the fastest bike. There needs to be a slow bike that turns well.
Slow rebound fork & shock, mostly the fork, also the compression looked fine on the fork may have to lighten compression up a little considering what you were hitting. I did think the ride hight was a little was off a little more sag please .
Every owner since 2018 does the same 3 things. Longer link, drill the engine mounts, and swap a 13:1 piston. All would be free for Suzuki to do but they care so little about this platform they won't even do that.
@@ShawB44 that's not too bad. I found the invoice for my 04crf450 just last week. 6300 plus taxes. I cant remember what the other fees were. But that was 18 years ago.

I think one of the biggest questions is when Suzuki will bring a new bike to bring it up to modern specs. I loved my Suzuki's and I really think they have something up their sleeves....
I believe Ken will show how it’s done 2023, yes I’m sure he finished the job on the updates. Big chance Suzuki will have a new bike in 24’ now that Suzuki quit MotoGP, Suzuki now has Money!
It’s funny when all these guys who review the bikes, talk about how you’re serious. Racers aren’t going to like it in stock form compared to some $12000 YZ450 or KTM 450. Well there is a huge price gap amongst them, but any serious racer is gonna ditch stock suspension anyways, same with the engine…. They are going to mod the engine for more HP regardless of brand. They are going to change tuning and gearing to make power come on differently. The European bikes and Bikes like Honda and Yamaha all will get changed to something else… yes the Suzuki is heavier but I’m the end after any serious rider gets ahold of it, it will be lightened up with aftermarket parts/modifications… whereas many other brands are pretty much already at their lightest because they have lighter sprockets, bolts, lighter components from the start and that’s why they cost a few thousand more upfront. 3-4K difference in price between a Suzuki and some KTM or new Yamaha is a lot…
I don’t see it really any further behind than say a Kawasaki which nobody seems to talk about Kawasaki being old and outdated… even though I feel this Suzuki is more updated and built better/stronger than its KX450 rival.
@@MXvsATV144 Dude, the Kawie has been a great overall bike but last few years, especially, now with the “SR.” I like SUZUKI though, but l can’t see myself buying one…
Not a fair comparison. No top level pro is riding a stick bike. They all run A kit of factory suspension, full exhaust, modded ECU with custom maps, built engine (most pros, some run stock or light mods), sprockets/chains/grips/bars, so it’s not even close to what you get off the showroom.
I never understand it either, I mean I have been seeing plenty of Suzuki Machines take holeshots and ride the same track conditions, leading races in Supercross the last few events. It was I think the LCQ or some qualifier where 2-3 Suzuki bikes from Privateers were taking holeshots and keeping same speeds as any other rider

My opinion is it’s the best looking bike in the bunch.

I really like the Kawi. I think both the rmz and kx are more subtle in style. The other bikes are all edgy and to much like a KTM.
