If I could use something like that on any painting jobs that I've done in the past, I could work at almost 4 times the speed, that I used to.. before switching out to an 18" Roller, after I pretty much stopped using 9" rollers. They're good...to a point. However, it just takes way too long, using one of them. That system you're working here in this video ROCKS!!!!!
He is using a mastic paint which is made for stucco applications, that's why it's chunky because it's a very thick paint. Also his roller is already loaded which is why it is covering so well and it looks to be the second coat as well. He could spray it but he is getting a lot more coverage with a roller which means his paint will go alot further than with spraying. Mastic paint is not cheap. It's also a 24" inch roller I prefer a 18" . Looks like he's doing a good job so why all the negativity.
hes NOT DOING A GOOD JOB... If you looked at that wall when he's done it would look like shit...No cut in...Sloppy...Holidays, fossils...etc...I've had helper that paint better than that...it's not about speed so much as it's about quality...That paint will fail in one season...
@@godbluffvdgg it's has everything to do with speed if you want to make money. Got to be able to do it fast and have good quality at the same time and if you do it with a roller ,sprayer, are a brush you got to be fast.

One thing I have learned in this business is that I do not know everything and I am willing to learn something new that is why I watch videos like this and I hope he makes millions to but we know that is not going to happen.l don't think there are alot of millionaires in the painting business. Good to have a civil conversation with a fellow painter / remodeler.

I've done 150,000 exteriors personally...Employees suck these days though...:)...They're lazy and have no work ethic...All the good guys I've had have died or went on their own...

People complaining about cleaning the roller, a 5 in 1 would clean it right up then spray it down with a hose. Wouldn't take much longer than an 18. The pan on the other hand....

Well, believe me most custom millions dollar homes will prefer a roller finish vs sprayer. But I agree with you no paint roller compares to a sprayer on finish or speed, but we not talking about car or boats here. So why most homeowners prefer wall to be painted with a roller ask a painter, I just been painting for 17 years.

Sheep skin rollers tend to work great and if you know how to roll, it wont leave any lines behind... I remember back in 2000 Sherwin Williams and Dunn Edwards had quality rollers and brushes well compared to Home Depot lol and i still have the tools such great quality, special those Coronas Brushes

The time you gain.....you lose that time cleaning that big roller & Trey mate.
I always use a power nozzle and let the roller spin a 100 miles an hour :) 3 minutes for a regular or double.

Looks like he is using Sedona pastel which has sand Through it. if not it’s a membrane a lot thicker than normal paint
shaking the bucket like that did absolutely nothing as far as mixing. when it dries theres gonna be hard lines all over the place
