I remember Efren played against Old Senyong which considered by many Pilipino pool players a tough shooter. Efren gave Senyong 30/90 just to be a fair match. Senyong needs to score 31 and win, while Efren need to score 91 to win. By the end of pool match Efren took all the money, his that good.

He was just second to none then, be it caromb or pocket billiards. The living legend is still rockin', and beating the new breed of local pool players. Mabuhay ka, ka efren bata.

Piece of Trivia: Here in the Philippines, some started young like Efren (me, I started when I was 27 yrs old, I'm 55 now). Once you know how to play, you'll learn to Gamble. Betting the only money you have in your pockets. Learning to cope up with pressure and not worrying about the money gives you an edge in the days to come. Which most pressure players Got. To be meticulous, learning all you can, to measure it all, understand what pressure is, think fast, to counter act any good moves from your opponents .... Try betting, to the point that if you lose, you'll feel bad about it and can't erase it in your head (happened to me twice). Feel your heart pounding not wanting to lose. Your Brain will function like a NASA Rocket. But if by good chance you Won, you'll walk with your Chin Up and eyes to the Heaven. Good luck to the New players 🇵🇭
