  • If you are interested in a non-compensated review of this pattern (Coimbra Wrap Top from Itch to Stitch), then you've found it! I take you from expressing my hopes and expectations (am I hopeful, or not?) regarding the fit of this pattern, the taping together of the page pieces, and results after construction. There is a walk-through of the mitered corner of the hem along the way, too. Find out if I really do need a snap to hold that center front cross-over together.....or not! By the way, just to get perspective on the fit of this pattern, I'm 5' 8" and used a size 6 at bust and waist, grading out to an 8 at the hips.
Also, hang on to the end where I will show you, for the first time ever, a few bloopers (which starts off with an interruption from someone...UH-HEM! who is always mentioning how I don't feature him in my videos. LOL! I love my husband, it's just that he's not really into sewing!)
If you're interested in trying this pattern you can purchase a digital download here: itch-to-stitch...

Your top looks great! The mitred corner was a nice surprise, I will try that myself, I think it will be really useful. It looks so nice and neat and there won't be any peeking out from under by the seam allowance on either side. Thanks so much for making this video.

Hello! Thank you for the review! I am new to PDF downloaded patterns. I watch a lot of tailoring and sewing videos and have never seen a pattern put together, therefore, I am so grateful that you showed how to put the pdf pattern together. Yes, I can read, but watching someone put the pattern together was fantastic. Plus, that tip to highlight the size that you want was, also, awesome! The wrap blouse looks beautiful on you!

I am SO glad that you commented to saw which portions of this video was helpful to you! It encourages me on what sorts of things to include in future videos. This is one of my favorite tops, and I've also made a short sleeved version, with collar ;) Thanks for watching and commenting!

I would need an engineering degree not to panic at that pattern. But oh, what a fabulous result!

A smart lady like you, dear author, could nail this pattern! I truly love the way it looks. I’ve already got another one planned 😉

What a lovely review! I really liked the way you presented your content. So nice to have an unbiased one too! I’ve been looking for a nice wrap pattern, that doesn’t gape. I was hoping for a dress pattern though. Probably could just add the skirt part from another pattern. You have a very nice figure so clothes will definitely look good on you. Will be looking forward to your videos. I really like the pattern review types.

Thank you for leaving such a kind comment! Pattern reviews are something I wish I had time to do more of. Unbiased reviews are very hard to find, being that so many of the downloadable type have affiliates who can earn some money by having people click their links. Those aren't necessarily unbiased ;) I'll try to do more as time allows. I do have a dress pattern, that is a wrap on the upper portion, but not through the skirt. That's on my list to do at some point. Thank you for watching and commenting!

I'm glad you appreciated it. I know I tried looking for unbiased reviews and couldn't find any. For what it's worth, I just made another one with a collar, and made the sleeves short for summer. Really cute! I did end up putting a snap closure at the cross-over, just to keep it from gapping during movement. I really like this top! Thank you for your comment!
