That room is as immaculate as a snake room gets. Love his racks too. I like that the tubs are crystal clear.

A continued joy. Thank you for the Green Sanzinia lead. That was an awesome room tour, I could tell he put a bunch of hard work and time into that room. Your older Basin's color looks unreal, I thought that was a fake snake at first. Keep being awesome!

John collection is so amazing! It would be awesome if you did a part two and focused on his Amazon Tree boas. As I feel they are also starting to gain popularity and no one covers them on social media, thanks!

Wanna second the ATB content is nearly nonexistent on TH-cam. It's time us ATB keepers and lovers help raise awareness for an underappreciated species

I bought my very first carpet from John 25 years ago! Seeing his room back then was a thrill and his collection has clearly only gotten better since then. Great spotlight.

Another great video and John’s collection is amazing and he obviously puts a massive amount of work into keeping and housing them in those great enclosures.

I too prefer Chondro’s. I just prefer the colour and the kinda dragon like shape of the head. Plus theyr not as expensive as basins. Unless its some rare “designer” chondro.

Love John and have not talked to him in nearly 15 years.
Anyone that raises hell about crosses is not doing this from a point of education.
They cross in the wild ... period, within their ranges.
I had pictures 30 years ago of basins found on the essiquibo river in Guyana.
Started studying then as I also thought them not to cross.
They do and most " new locale " high white " northerns " are crosses straight from the wild...eye spotters and all.
Many " purist " minded breeders wich I am also need to realize this.
Many basin bloodlines out there have northerns in their woodpile even though they would be pissed to be confronted with the truth.
As that baby cross of John's that has a strip....happens in the wild guys.
Just like natural crosses with emeralds and Amazon's.
We never thought that either until more females gravid from the wild had obviously crossed and showed this possibility.
Pure basins are the dark ones that have small head scales and so if you got basins with large head scales you have northerns somewhere in your woodpile even if it was in the wild and not your own captive breeding purposes.
Like Tony old new locale girl and was stupid beautiful example however not even Tony believed it was a cross back then.
Love you guys but some are stubborn..😁
I don't know how many specimen was studied to come up with canninus and batesii however I noticed they also have Peruvian emeralds as batesii and I disagree.
How many Peruvian emeralds did they study to come up with that since few have been found?
However the few that have been look like John's crosses just like emeralds found in Bolivia do.
I tend to think the Peruvian emeralds are probably a truly different subspecies and the bolivians.
Most basin bloodlines in captivity came out of southern Guyana and Suriname and like it or believe it or not they cross frequently in that range.
I've seen full strip crosses from the wild born to northern mothers and the babies could have been sold as pure basins and not one would have known it not told.
Not my bag to cross however I love the ones like John whom have and that gives us more of God's beautiful artwork to enjoy so giving people hell for doing it is rediculous and completely uneducated and immature.
John and Ed and weidner are legends and have paid their dues before many was even born. 🤓💃🕺
