I have a 9th grader in my group whose older brother played bass trombone for a college band and now he marches his brother's bass trombone.
I march this year bass bone
What I love about this feature is it’s not in the stratosphere of the trombone range, and they’re playing with such fullness and beautiful tone. Nothing like ending on a fat B Flat Major chord either!
Not crazy range, and every part has a moment. That bass trombone line was probably my favorite party of the whole feature
I honestly can’t believe this is a high school group. This would not sound out of place in a top 10 dci show.
They sound great but realistically they’d place around 20th and even the best high school bands would struggle to make it to finals

Well I mean they are only about a year out of preforming in DCI, it's not impossible for them to have those level of chops

@@KlldbyCuriosityI don't know bro. Herbrons brass section from 2021 would easily have made finals. Every head cam I watched was near perfection in clarity in style and the book was insanely hard.

Im not a trombone player but omg the sound of this feature is just about one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard from a high school group in a long time.
If only the added the pedal Bb at the end omg it would sound so damn good. Awesome feature from awesome players

I wish my school had that many good trombone players. All we have is two plus a third one who is taking lessons and eventually will be good. The rest of them suck and don't want to get better, and all the good middleschoolers keep going to different schools 😤😤😤
We have 4 right now, none of them play loud or that good though. We're going to have two years where we don't lose any, so fingers crossed.
