So good and so simple. Onion, potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms and beef with salt, pepper, and garlic to season. I love these because you can add pretty much anything you want and they always come out tasting awesome!
Buddy of ours brought some of these to the mud park when we camped out for the weekend . He made deermeat burgers with onions potatoes bell peppers and mushrooms with Cajun seasoning and was absolutely amazing. When he first pulled them out we all looked at him crazy and asked what it was. He just smirked and said camp meals shut up your gonna like it I promise ya lol
Just tried foil pack today it was ribeye steak, taters & mushrooms with Everglades season & pepper cooked for 30 mins 15 mins on each side and it was perfectly done thank you I will try other packets
Some more progress had a chicken and stuffing packet last night it was great. Take a chicken breast seasoned with Everglades and pepper..Took 1/2 cup of chicken flavored stuffing put 1/4 cup of cold water instead of hot water in it.Put it in the foil and cooked it 15 mins on each side and it was done. Going to make a waffle House style hash brown packet this weekend when I go camping will tell you how it works out!😀
We did this for camp as kids in Boy Scouts but we added a can of cream of mushroom soup (no milk, just the thick stuff in the can) and it was one of the best meals of my life!
Gonna be spending some time living in my car pretty soon, this is exactly the type of thing I need. Get some cheap steak, some potatoes, a few spices and some aluminum foil an theres dinner. Thanks!
Oh man I’m gonna try this tonight. I have a fire pit at home with plenty of firewood. Gonna try to cook a chicken with roast veggies using this method. Wish me luck.
Some more progress I had a chicken wings . taters, carrots, corn on the cob & onions packet with Everglades & pepper cooked wings whole. Packet took 60 mins 30 mins on each side it was delish yum yum!
Here is some more progress I had a pork chop, onion, taters and corn on the cob with Everglades & pepper cut pork chop like you do the steak then cook for 30 min 15 on one side then flipped it was delicious you all have to try the Everglades season it's the best
Yes they are! Going to make sticky bun's next and a French bread pizza packet will keep you'll updated with my progress. And don't forget to check out the Everglades season I'm telling you'll it's the bomb😋😋😋
Some more progress had a hamburger, onion, taters and carrots and corn on the cob with Everglades and pepper for dinner tonight. Cooked packet for 30 mins 15 mins on each side. Going try to make sticky bun's packet soon will tell you'll how it works out!
It is a lot easier, quicker and neater if you put all the food on half the tinfoil then pull the other half over the top so the two halves meet one one side. You then roll the edges as you would if it were on top. To open you simply slit the packet down the middle and you have a easy neat serving bowl.
great for those that like meat juices.I would do 2 separate packets.meat by itself.vegets by themselves and carrots and onions, maybe even celery.great video.Nice.
Perfect, going cabin camping in a few weeks and I try to do as much meal prep ahead of time as possible. Last thing I want to do is prepare a meal while there, especially after a few beers by the fire, lol. Thanks.
Did similar but used a whole frozen steak, wrapped it up then started a thru hike cooked it that night so it was in a backpack for 10ish hours thawing. Always start a big hike with a heavy meal.
You can also get Everglades at Walmart y'all we like it thinking about breakfast packs next thank you for the inspiration I will give you updates on my progress☺️☺️
Will update you on my progress! Thinking about chicken wings , taters, carrots and onions with Everglades season and pepper will tell you how it works out!!
Some more progress I have been try different size foil and cooking sprays.l have found out that 18" wide foul is the best because you can get away with one piece of foil instead of two and that butter flavor cooking spary is the best to grill with and don't forget the Everglades season!!
Can u cook things with syrup i dont make any of the food at my house my friends usually do it and i clean up but recently ive been taking an interest in cooking more instead of just using the microwave and i wanna be creative with it not trying to reinvent the wheel just wanna try new things
Hey there! I know it's been a year and I dunno if you're going to check this but if you want any advice about learning to cook I might be able to help! I'm no expert but I basically taught myself and have a few recipes that are easy enough and should help you develop some skills.
It's a restaurant industry thing. Every type of food you portion up with a knife needs a different cutting board. (Beef, poultry, fish, veggies, etc) Honestly it isn't a problem if you clean the board with a lil' bleach afterwards, but habits die hard.
The main point is that you are outdoors and enjoying a fire and not playing on cell phones or computers... etc etc. That Steak looked Well Done. For me... I don't really care... I will eat anything. However, cooking for the family I would do individual packs because different food cooks at different times and temps.
Totally agree! There are so many different options when it comes to packet cooking. I sure enjoy being around the fire and enjoying a great meal! Thanks for watching!
More update made another campfire pizza for my birthday last week you need to make a video on how to make it l have made sticky buns in foil packets they turned out great also made a seafood foil packets it was delish
Oh man that sounds delicious! I will definitely see about making a campfire pizza! How did you go about doing that? Happy belated birthday! Sounds like you had a good one!
I took a pre made mini mama marys pizza crust put some mama marys pizza sauce on the pizza and also some mozzarella cheese and pepperoni on it sprayed on the inside of the foil with olive oil then put it in the fire then put some coals on top cooked for five minutes and it was done thanks for the belated birthday and it was a nice bday went camping for 4 days had a seafood and a sticky buns packets and a penne and marinara and mozzarella cheese and pepperoni Italian bake I made that in a small aluminum bread pan that you can buy at the Dollar general they are 3 for a dollar
That is so awesome! I will be giving that a try! Sounds really delicious. Wow what a camping trip, sounds like you ate very well! Nothin better than that. :)
I did that a few videos ago! Made some delicious tacos! I enjoy solo camping once in awhile. It’s good to be alone a bit, not always but when it’s needed lol
Curious how done the steak was; i like mine medium rare but im worried that by cooking it together with potatoes the meat will be overcooked. Will try this next time i'm by a campfire though!
Kinda mess it up? Buddy, it was already messed up when you prepared that steak!!! That should be a crime to treat steak that way. I see too many people following this…I’m sorry for your leather and potato’s!
Terrakinetic I hear ya! I went on a solo camping trip and I told jokes to myself around the fire. You can watch it all here but the jokes start at 17:50 lol! Steak Oscar On The Firebox Stove | Camp Food | Solo Canoe Camp and Cook th-cam.com/video/ZWnvnYacLS0/w-d-xo.html
It actually was very tasty! Don’t get me wrong I would probably like to cook the steak over the flames but in a pinch this works just fine! Thanks for watching!
Love doin this.. works well even over charcoal. I also like using lemon pepper on everything to... mmmm mmm good
Pretty sure this is the best video that shows how to make foil packet dinners. And I'm saying that after searching for a while.
Isn't putting aluminum foil into fire toxic? That's why stoners don't use aluminum filters when smoking out of apple bongs.
Thanks for Ur comment man I definitely watching video now
So good and so simple. Onion, potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, mushrooms and beef with salt, pepper, and garlic to season. I love these because you can add pretty much anything you want and they always come out tasting awesome!
I love them too! Super simple and very tasty!

You really can do just about anything with foil packets! So awesome!
I’ll give it a try in my new Solo Ranger Fire Pit. Thanks Cheers
You will enjoy it I’m sure! Thank you for watching :)
This is very clear. I like how easy it is to reproduce. I plan on trying this.
My dad did it a lot growing up. It would be a shame to keep it from my son.
It is a lot easier, quicker and neater if you put all the food on half the tinfoil then pull the other half over the top so the two halves meet one one side. You then roll the edges as you would if it were on top. To open you simply slit the packet down the middle and you have a easy neat serving bowl.
Always like to foil packet cook! Rock On!
Now I'm hungry! Looks delicious. 30 mins then flip for how long?
15 minutes then flip, and another 15 minutes on the other side. 30 minutes total.
SIMPLE COOKING AND NICE WHEN YOU ARE IN TRAVEL CAMPING.
Thank you for the inspiration for my great ideas. Have you got any glades season yet?
great for those that like meat juices.I would do 2 separate packets.meat by itself.vegets by themselves and carrots and onions, maybe even celery.great video.Nice.
Why separate? With the meat and veggies etc. All flavours gonna mix together during the cooking even more delicious than separate!
Can you pre-make these, say a day a head of time (keeping the refrigerated of course) ?
Yea I don’t see why not. As long as you are storing it properly and then cook it within a reasonable time!
Perfect, going cabin camping in a few weeks and I try to do as much meal prep ahead of time as possible. Last thing I want to do is prepare a meal while there, especially after a few beers by the fire, lol. Thanks.
That sounds like a ton of fun! Wish I was going lol! Enjoy yourself!

Good video I enjoyed watching it
Forgot to add i had bacon with the hamburger packet and I seasoned the hash brown packet with salt & pepper and Frank's red hot yum😋
Sunday night I made my first campfire pizza foil pack could you please make a video on it?
Ok, why cut the steak up on the plate when you have a cutting board right underneath it?
It's a restaurant industry thing. Every type of food you portion up with a knife needs a different cutting board. (Beef, poultry, fish, veggies, etc) Honestly it isn't a problem if you clean the board with a lil' bleach afterwards, but habits die hard.
It’s because he’s trying to piss you off on purpose.

Looks good Bro, thx for sharing....
How about pork chops , taters & corn on the cob & Everglades season and pepper?
Cute 4th Down Dog!
How do you keep steak from overcooking, while potatoes aren't tender yet?
I subscribed simply because he said please.
Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel 😊
Do we definitely need to cut it before wrapping it?
Probably not. It may take longer to cook though.
Curious how done the steak was; i like mine medium rare but im worried that by cooking it together with potatoes the meat will be overcooked. Will try this next time i'm by a campfire though!
The meat was well done I believe. I would definitely cook it separately if you want it medium rare. Thanks for watching!
Man that Is so cool!!!
Ya there are so many things you can do with it. The possibilities are endless! Thanks for watching!
Also thinking about desert packets what do you think?
Thinking about sticky bun's foil packet!
How do I know when to take it out? I really don't want to overcook it.
Add some wine, carrots, and onions... Well then you got pot roast in a pouch.
Oh ya! That would be good!
I got family in your state. Next time I’m up there we should do a video or at least make some dinner.
DON"T POKE A HOLE IN YOUR FOIL!
What! No onions!😋
subbed you and activated the notifications bell
Works in oven at home too.
the slow mo made me laugh out loud
Small Dutch oven for the recipe would be best
That’s a great idea. I’m gonna have to try it! Thanks for watching 😊
Instead of 'powdered onion' or 'garlic' why not REAL ones?
Kinda mess it up? Buddy, it was already messed up when you prepared that steak!!! That should be a crime to treat steak that way. I see too many people following this…I’m sorry for your leather and potato’s!
Dude sounded like he was having a foodgasm tbh I would be to
So dumb
Needs onions. Yummy.
I bury mine for 30 minutes in the coals no need to flip it.
Great idea!!
What, no onions??
you seem like a "fun guy" but please no more Fungi ... lol
Haha!!! 🍄

It’s aluminum foil!
It’s not freaking tin!!!

It can be lonely... but fun!
