JULIAN'S VOCAL IS AMAZING
Such a talented voice for such a goofy ahh song

Everything he says in this song is beautifully sung
But for sheer skill, "every demographic was represented" is the peak.

@@davidstuckey9289 dude, how can you not agree that “a rainbow coalition of dancing” is by far the best lyric
Believe it or not, this is how I became a fan of The Strokes.
No way!!
@@Pozenboot I'm not really sure if they have one that is the same tune as his parts here in Boombox but You Only Live Once and Under Cover of Darkness are good starter songs for new listeners.
Analeigh Chabot In the Voidz he sings with auto tune but in every song it changes. Anyway just listen to The Strokes & They Voidz because they are the best.
Same tbh
Oh I believe it.
Julian Casablancas might be the coolest person alive. Even on a joke song like this he absolutely killed it. His vocal range is insane. -
@@jimmysgarage9068 if you listen to the strokes you can hear that in some tracks he shows off his vocal range and it's pretty good! I agree with the fact that it ain't nothing too out of the ordinary but it's still above average by a good margin in my opinion
@@jimmysgarage9068 He likes the sound of a higher-pitched voice, so that's where he mostly sings. It's a shame, though, because he has a fabulously rich, resonate baritone that we rarely get to hear. What do you consider an average range? I'd say it's about 2.5 octaves (among people in general, not professional singers), and Julian exceeds that.
The entire thing was dripping with effects, but ok.
@@joeaardvark9214 "Dripping"... Yeah, Julian uses different vocal effects when he feels like it or thinks the song would sound better with the effects or without them. I even pointed out it was a "joke song". It's SNL, obvously a comedic choice to overdue the auto-tune. There's plenty of evidence in videos all over TH-cam to back me up, claiming "His vocal range is insane." IT IS. -
@@shroomshady27 Wow neat. I don't care.
