Pai Thailand 2023 | Review of My Accommodation

- This is the hut/accommodation I stayed in on the first night of my Chaing Mai to Pai northern Thailand road trip. Bueng Farm was my destination for the first night's sleep. It was a really nice Hotel with amazing views and scenery. I had a fishing lake right outside my door, which was amazing. It wasn't the cheapest Pai has to offer and was more on the expensive side for a hut. You pay for the views and the lake. Orn is a wonderful host, she will take care of everything for you. It's located in a very quiet part of town, I loved this area.

Hey Wayne this is the place we stayed when I was there in 2014 and if my memory serves me well 800 baht is the price we paid for a bungalow on the lake. I also fished there. Nice place. At the time the kitchen would be closed at a certain time in the evening which I found a bit odd as you could not fetch a water or something if you come back late or want to chill a bit on the hammock. But all in all I loved the place. 👍
I really liked this place, great area of Pai to stay, very quiet and peaceful. I would stay here again.

Love the idea of sleeping near the lake in spite of the mossies. Don't think I had aircon there where I stayed either. Not necessary in the mountains. Your bathroom is much nicer than the one in my room. Think I was paying half as much mind you. Lovely property to relax in. Shame you didn't try your hand at fishing Wayne.
Yes, don't really need aircon in Pai at the moment. Especially at night. I moved onto a cheaper place after this. Bueng Farm is a nice place though. They rented out fishing rods, but maybe next time.

What have you got against Hippies(ancient, conservative reference for long-haired, peace loving people back in the 1960's)? When was the last time hippies waged war or committed mass shootings? 🤣🤣🤣.I think because Pai is so small, I would prefer a place in town. Enjoying these videos. Keep 'em coming Wayne.👍
🤣🤣 Nothing at all against Hippys mate. I use to be a raving hippy ( with dreadlocks ) . It's a great town mate. 5 minutes out was perfect for me. Thanks buddy.

A nice spot for your first night. Mae Hi is lovely and peaceful. I did a very short stint at the local primary school many years ago - very friendly teachers, pupils and locals.
Loved this area of town. I ended up staying at another one in the same area. I show it in my next vlog.
Did you say mosquitoes are ten times worse than CM? If that is the case, then AC is imperative. Also, it might get noisy at night if you have loud guests in a neighboring bungalow, especially with no AC. Will wait to see the next one...
Yes, but they was always going to be worse here than in the city of Chiang Mai. No won't be no noise here buddy. Signs up everywhere for being quiet after certain times.

Mozzies was out in force but i didn't really get any in the room. With the net on the bed also, it was fine. Nice place.
Wayne, How did you find and choose where to stay in Pai? Also most of these seem like smaller individually owned places so how to you know they are clean, nice, comfortable, etc....?
Most of the places in Pai are like that mate. Just small backpacker places. I just book online, find a place I like .
