My radio is clean all the way up I tested it with a dd1 I have a pioneer deh-x8800bhs it goes to 62 it says 4 volt preout but it does around 5volts I love it I set gain with a 40hz -5db and volume at 58 but like I said its clean all the way up to 62 love that radio
Thank you for the info! Just installed a skar Amp and sub kit and this answers my set up questions. Any suggestions on breaking in the new sub? Hours of run time on a lower power level etc?
And bro that's not how the gain works halfway isn't half power people that dont know what they are doing are gonna watch this and blow there amps I had that amp and it clips around 38 volts which is around I say maybe a little less then half way up if I remember right were u set it on video is clipping hard my Korean 6k is literally at the halfway mark and it's all full power that's were it clips at I believe it's like 89 volts everything is good on the video but the gain explanation love your channel bud I watch u on tiktok too
I was trying to give the guys something that really don’t know anything or have tools but I’m gonna make one today on how to set gain with a multimeter
So i have a sealed box with 1 vs 10d2 subwoofer and a amp with 800 watts .the subwoofer is 500 rms .the box is said to be tuned at 38 to 40 hz what should my setting be at ?
New to car audio and subs. Just curious. What the settings to tune a rp2000.1 for a skar vs series 12inch wired to 1 ohm... or should I leave it at 2? Just wondering cause I don't wanna blow my sub.
Question I haven’t put my sub or amp I just did the wire part but when I finish I turns my car on and the center consol is not turning on and the audio fuse is heat up what could it be Infiniti q50
Well make sure the wires aren’t making any contact anywhere on the frame. I’m not sure why the center console wouldn’t come on. Are you talking about a stock or aftermarket head unit? I could only imagine that a power wire came undone somewhere or a fuse blew somehow. Just make sure to disconnect your battery before you do the wiring to be safe and prevent from damaging any electrical components.
@tonycervantes4816 I've learned from past experiences that it is not a solid place to ground. It gets loose, comes off, etc. You really want a good solid ground with a grade 8 nut and bolt. The ground is KEY AND KING to any sound system. You can have a 10, 15, 20k system, but if it's not grounded properly, it's worthless. Also, if you don't have a good ground, it can cause a fire along with shorts in the system. Every system I've done, I've grounded it to the frame or some part of the outer structure of the vehicle. But, this from learning from my mistakes, ground is KING!
This video was one of the best explained for beginners like me, thank you! And subbed!

What do you recommend for a Skar 1200 wire gauge?
At least 4 gauge. Always use OFC and never CCA

Do I connect the positive first or the ground
Will 8 gauge wire work with 2000 watt amplifier
8 gauge will fried, please use a 1/0 gauge with a 200amp fuse holder

(And I mean if and when you wire something in the future)
Never go past half way on the gain . Going over half way results in clipping and stuff and very hard on your speakers
The blind leading the blind. You lost me once you showed “how to set gains”. A for effort
"Spend half of my salary" lol wtf
Talking about bass, heads or bass heads
Never ground any amps under the seat, never! Always ground to the frame, period!
@titoham-DCXLs agreed 👍
Why never ground under the seat bro ??
