- How to reset your power windows.
in this video i show how my window won't stay up so i needed to reset it at the control panel first and then needed to register the switch on the window that won't close.

Worked!
In case anyone reading:
My passenger side back seat window wasn't going down using the master control switch (back seat window switches worked fine so I knew it wasn't the motor or anything worse)
1) followed your steps but instead I lowered the faulty window from the back seat switch
2) performed all steps using the driver side master switch driver side window switch
3) final step I used master control switch to raise the faulty window up and held for 2 seconds.
4) went to the faulty window and held the switch up for 2 seconds
That did the trick!

I had the same problem on the passenger side window of my 2010 Nissan X-trail. It wouldn’t go up using the passenger switch but worked using the drivers side control panel. It doesn’t have auto up, but I did this and it worked!!! Thanks for your help.

Worked on my 2007 2.2 Mk8 gen Civic.
I had to change the drivers window regulator and it was bouncing back from the top.
I followed GPTV's "How To" and it's all sorted now !

Thank you for going the next step and explaining going to the "problem" window. The techs at the dealership actually said that was unnecessary, but how would they sell the new power window control module🙄. Saved me a decent chunk of money and aggravation. Again thank you.

Hell yeah.. Thank you thank you. I have a kia optima 2015 and it worked. A couple of things were slightly different.
- My window was already down so I didn't press down at the very beginning of the demonstration.
- After he did the 4 times and the up for 2 seconds at the driver control, I went to my rear passenger switch and held in the up position about 10 cause I was listening to him talk and the mirror started to go up.
So the only difference was that I had to hold it up much longer than 2 seconds on the final step. You the man!! Thanks! It was super cold this morning driving to work and it's suppose to rain tomorrow too. Life saver!!

Hi do it worked for you, maybe you can help? What does he mean when he says press it down but not automatic?
When your pressing the button there are two clicks 1st click is not automatic 2nd click is automatic, if you press the 2nd click the window would automatically go up or down. Hope this helps.

Ugh it almost worked. Thank you! I got it partially up and then i just pulled it up while holding the button down. I will not be rolling it back down anytime soon.
There could be a issue with the motor if you needed to pull it up.
It's the same problem it's going back
Have you oiled the window frames to allowed the window to run smoothly?

Stuck in a carpark right now in the rain and window wont go up. Toyota vids on utube are always "window wont go down". Well who cares? A window that wont go up; is a problem! Ive tried every toyota tip to reset; nothing works! So im resorting to a honda vid. Only thing that worked is the quick sharp up pulls on the switch. Thanks!

Nice video thought I had to reset watched this and then my friend hit my child proof switch. I must of bumped it and bam fixed my window problem. I felt stupid but at least it wasnt something worse lmao. Thank u tho
just as well, it happens all of us we think the worst right away until someone thinks logical! it happened with my boot release, i have a video on it, my son pressed a little switch and i through my boot was broken.

I had problems with both rear windows on a 2020 Acura MDX after kiddies were pressing buttons. This worked 90% of the way. The other 10% was holding the 2 sec on the problem window switch, not on the driver's switch. Great video bro'... Helped a lot, saved me from bringing it in to the dealer! Thx!

Wow this totally worked! I have a 2016 Accord and yesterday I drove through a giant puddle and all of sudden my passenger window stopped working completely from driver control. I could roll it down from the passenger side but the auto didn't work. So I just followed your steps with the driver door open but the whole time doing the repeated steps I was pressing the button on the passenger door only not the driver side then after the last step I pressed the auto down on the passenger then up and it worked and the control from the driver side worked too! Thank you so much!
