I just bought a ctx3030 and waiting for it to be delivered i have the equinox900 and cant wait to use this on the Florida beaches.. these videos are so very helpful
@@MentalMetal Yea i just retired and am just learning i am teaching myself and watching all these videos here in the Panama city Florida area. Mexico beach area and so on in the panhandle but am planing some trips this summer to the treasure coast ...to look for some of the 1715 fleet ships..
So what do you think of this for beach hunting? It’s either this or an Excailber. I’m in FL near the treasure coast. Between the tourists and potential gold coins from ship wrecks, great hunting grounds!
Jeff, I would seriously consider the XP Deus 2 now. I really love the 3030 and enjoyed the Excal when I had one but I think with the weight of the machine, the ability to dive down to over 60 ft., and the configuration options you now have, the D2 is the machine to have at this point. That is just my opinion. I don't have enough time on the Excal to make a fair judgement against the 3030 but I liked them both too. I just really like the way the D2 is performing on the beach for me.
Bro please tell me you know how to re-enable beach mode? About a year ago I accidentally hit delete on beach mode I think it’s ridiculous it’s even an option to delete it but I’ve been without it for about a year now so please let me know if you know how to get it back on Thanks
Hi, thanks for the video, but you bring up that deep on / fast on debate again with your video. Way back in the early days when I first got my E Trac, I read where you shouldn't run deep and fast on together, and after making several phone calls to Minelab I finally got somebody that at least acted like they knew what they were talking about. They said yes with both options checked they do tend to cancel each other out. They didn't explain why just saying that it was a proprietary secret, yeah right, but I went out in the field and I tried it when I found some deep coins I would run Devon and then turn fast on and while I didn't actually lose the signal it did get scratch here and the numbers got a little less stable. So I wish somebody out there that new could expand on this question, but as a standard habit with my E-Trac and now with my CTX 3030, I just don't run them both together.
I owned the CTX when it came out and ran it for 5 years. I think "deep" and "fast" most likely were recovery speed options. With "deep" being a slow recovery speed and "fast" being a well fast recovery speed. Deep for sparse targets for more depth, fast for co-located "trashy" park or yard sites. That makes the most sense to me anyway. Or you can leave both off and the machine runs in stock recovery speed. I imagine it like deep is "1" nether is "5" and fast ks "9". Hope that helps!
Enjoyed the video thanks. The CTX manual specifically states not to use the Seawater setting if you are not immersing the coil in the sea.
Thanks! You are correct
Best machine regarding Discrimination 😊

Enjoy watching your ctx videos
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the video
On noise cancellation - are you on wet sand, dry sand or can you do it while in salt water ?
Thanks
Dale
Doesn't matter really. You should raise your coil waste high and do the noise cancel
Thanks again. Will give it a try next time at the beach.
No worries glad to help. I'll be using it in a week or so down south.
I live the CTX but have yet to figure out the coin line/treasure line…the nearest is Hampton beach.

odd, I go thru my menu and I see no beach. I see coins, silver, relics, modes etc
You're taking WHICH machine to the beach? That 3030 won't even touch the sand this vacation
haha yes it will.
@@MentalMetal do a quick head to head in the wet sand on a gold ring...
For beach ground balance is not option, guys from minelab say it confuses ctx
