Those bad boys are worthy of being called bad boys many times.
maybe you can help as youre the first person ive come across on here who used the 4pin harness. every other ditch light harness ive seen has a black ground wire with a power wire and usually a white wire. the DD heavy duty one has a blue, yellow and red. ive got SS3 pros on the way and am trying to figure out how to wire an OE style switch (4 wires). the blue wire, for the backlight, i plan on tapping into the running lights, leaving me with a red and yellow wire. the OE switch (from cali raised) has a green wire for "connect from your source with an inline fuse", a red wire for "connect to your relay or accessories" a second red wire to illuminate the switch with the dash lights on, which i wont bother with, and a black wire for ground.... now the problem is, the DD harness doesnt have a ground wire going to the switch like just about everyone elses... do you think i just need to figure out where the red/yellow from the harness go to on the switch, and then ground the switch seperately?
actually, upon closer inspection from your video, it looks like theres 4 wires going to the supplied switch? blue red yellow and a ground? the picture on their website, as well as their wiring diagram, only show blue red and yellow. labeled as blue for backlight, red for power in, and yellow for main beam. no mention of a 4th wire for ground at the switch, other than a seperate ground for the relay
why not tie the backlight into your DRLs or something? You're paying for the feature :)
I didn’t want to complicate it on video LOL them People mess it up and blame it on me but I did that for my chase lights there with the turn signals on the rear lol
@@JesseRizo I hear you. I had someone make me some Tees with a DT connector for the Fog side so that everything is plug and play and there was no splicing with my SS3 fogs.

I am buying ss3 max fog lights for my winch bumper and pro combos for ditch lights next week. I hear they are coming out with another power level above max. I’m waiting to get my c1 lights until then. My ditch lights will be yellow but I want white spots hooked up next to them just like this. Also doing reverse lighting and a 50’ light bar above the windshield. I got an 06 v8 4Runner. Can’t wait to finish my build. My lift is going in next week. Then all that’s left is tires/rims and roof tent and it’s done 😊
Quick question how exactly does one wire the back lights in for Diode dynamic lights into the Auxbeam switch panel I have the same panel
I’ve only seen people installing them without the backlights into panels😪
If u wanted to you’d have to use the backlight wire into another switch I have a lot of lights and didn’t want the backlights to take over my other switches so that’s why I deleted it but if u don’t mind just add that wire that’s for the back light into another switch on that panel

What if you wanna use the backlight how would you install it using your auxbeam?
You’d have to just utilize a different switch for the positive side the one I taped away

I have 2 x Rigid flood ditch lights on my Tacoma. Been very happy with them. Bright as hell. Perfect for going 45 or less, light up those ditches to avoid hitting any animals or whatever.
I can’t imagine those ditch spot lights come in handy too often. Maybe you should ditch that dual setup for a bright set of floods?
The light itself is bright but yes I need to switch from the spot I bought new lens from diode in yellow just havnt been able to swap it but I need to 😅
I have SSC2's from DD mounting bracket that came with them is smaller. So Using supplied bracket for SSC1 won't work yhe way it worked for You. I will have to make my own custom bracket.
Question: can You tap into existing ditch lights harness so everything works of one switch?

I am considering getting the flood pattern for reverse lighting. Do you think a single pod would provide enough light, or two? Sport or Pro?
If you do one I’d go with pro but if your considering sport definitely get two

I did the same thing with bajas s1 mounted to the side of my s2s, but aimed straight off the side of my zr2. Super handy for work lights as I work in forestry and need extra light to occasionally fix equipment. Of course great for extra light in tight corners on trails too.
