    When you were combining the lights to run a single wire to the VoSwitch, how did you splice the wires together to go from 2 wires to a single wire? It looked like you just used the heat shrink butt connectors. If so how did you make it work so that the connection was secure?
    FYI - Fan of what you guys are doing and also a AZ native. Great Video

    • @AdventureBuilt
      @AdventureBuilt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @SAPPER510
    @SAPPER510 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    On the loom, you're suppose to use a lighter on both ends of the loom once you cut it to your desired length, just like you would do on 550 paracord.
    To run the wires through the loom, all you have to do is run the loom through the wire. Not the wire through the loom. Meaning...you push the loom over the end/beginning of the wires and once the loom bunches up, hold on to the end that you are working on with one hand and then use your other hand to pull on the loom where it bunches up at. That way the loom will loosen up and continues it's way down towards the end of the wire.

    • @TheRealMikeWilly
      @TheRealMikeWilly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdventureBuilt I've had a little 12" lightbar mounted on my bullbar just above the winch since I put the winch on.. Whenever anyone said I should get a lightbar my response was always "lockers before lightbars." Well I found a ARB in a D30 in the wrecking yard and the dumb dumb at the counter had no idea what he was looking at and when I asked how much he asked how much it was worth to me. I said "well I charge $85/hr for labor and it took me almost 15 minutes to get it out... So I'll give you a deal" and I handed him 20 bucks. So I put the ARB in the front diff and 2 weeks ago I picked up a D44 for the rear end and had it regeared to 4.88's to match the D30 up front and the owner of the diff shop (Hamm's Offroad, best in the PNW) had an OX locker in the D44 he pulled out of his Jeep that he put on tons in the summer. $1420 later I got front and rear air lockers with 4.88's and I'm pricing out all the lights I want and I'm almost up to $3500
      tl/dr: Why do lightbars gotta be more expensive than lockers and a regear?
