@@TheBarberPhil I agree it creates a disconnected haircut on one side and looks A-symmetrical. Not a square shape which is more esthetically appealing. it’s usually the Jits that want that look anyway 😂
Couldn’t agree more about keeping weight below the part. Luckily we don’t really get requests to go shorter in the uk but even if my client was adamant they wanted it taken down, I’d cut with the square shape first & let them decide then

would love a slow and detailed vid on clipper over comb, and connecting the top to the side. There's always weight after I cut! I've tried wet hair, dry, damp. How do you know where to place the comb exactly? thanks

Which comb exactly, the flat top comb I used for clipper over comb? That is the Oster Flat top comb. It’s thicker than the Andis flat top comb.
