One day I was playing football with some of my friends near lambeau field at titletown and Charles Woodson showed up and asked to run a few plays with us. I had the pleasure of throwing him a pass and of receiving a touchdown pass from him that day. He was such a nice, awesome guy and I will never forget that day.

He is one of the greatest packers to ever have put on the green and gold, and he will always be a raider at heart.

He was a hard hitter and that transition to Strong safety suited him better... Come up to the line and help on run support.... I've played the game for most of young life up until college.... When someone says best CB , they mean that not safety play.... Most complete means while playing corner back they could not just limited too covering but tackling as well in run support.... So most only see Lott as a safety that's why he stayed at safety throughout most of his years....Rod Woodson up until they injurie when Barry put that move on him was a bonified corner.... So safety was the best move for him.... COmPLETE CB means just that a corner back who covers and can help in run support ..... I watched all three play, though I was young at the time I remember well old fart... Lls

He was a special corner. He spent years playing as a shutdown corner, and was top 3 with guys like Champ and Revis. The he was a hybrid corner-linebacker that was revolutionary in my eyes because he's shutdown the best receiver and be near plays to make tackles. Then he ended as a safety, and played at a high level. He had a few more years in him. I'd call him one of the top DBs in NFL history. There were better corners, better safeties, but no other DB did what woodson did on the field. 60 picks, 20 sacks, 1200 tackles, and 30 forced fumbles, 13 TDS on defense...that's special.

Man the 2000s were stacked with great DBs. Woodson, Reed, Polamalu, and Dawkins are all time greats, then people like Roy Williams, Sharper (yikes), Rodney Harrison, Bob Sanders when healthy and Sean Taylor for a few years (RIP) were beasts too

One of the best ever no doubt. One of few that could've excelled at many positions. Back to back 2,000 yards rushing seasons in high school,and came to Michigan as a stud RB. Played CB in order to get on field instantly. He could've excelled at RB,WR,S,and even OLB.
Unpopular opinion: Charles Woodson was a better DB than Deion Sanders. Deion was the better cover guy (quite possibly the best ever) but Woodson did EVERYTHING on defense. He has more tackles, sacks, forced fumbles, interceptions, and touchdowns than Deion.
As a packers fan I'm glad he went back to Oakland to finish his career. I'll never forget what he did for us.

Unpopular opinion:
Charles Woodson was a better DB than Deion Sanders. Deion was the better cover guy (quite possibly the best ever) but Woodson did EVERYTHING on defense.
He has more tackles, sacks, forced fumbles, interceptions, and touchdowns than Deion.
Truth
Deion was glitz and glam... great player, but I'd take Woodson because when he was on the field, the whole defense was simply better.
