Once I became fit, muscular, rich, succesful, I saw how women really behave when they feel lust and desire. They do everything they can to lock you down. The anxiety / dread of losing you is so massive that any and all rationality / prudeness / etc goes out the window.
There is a reason rock stars sleep with thousands of women. Watch women in the front row of the concert. Listen to their screams within the crowd. That is true lust and desire, and if a woman makes you wait you just aint it for her. You will be used for your wallet and discarded because she clearly doesn't care enough about your needs to meet them, and doesn't care to satisfy her own needs through you.

I think it was likely intentionally twisting the knife telling him how many times, how soon, not using protection, and purposefully calling him right before a major exam -- probably trying to screw it up for him. Then, when she was finished messing with him, she blocked him. He needs to walk away forevermore.

Yep. I lived out my version of this story when I was 21, waited 6 months patiently, before she hooked up with a random guy at the bar, got my heart shattered. Fortunately, I got the lesson. My next gf had genuine disire and was all over me from night one. Lesson learned.

Yeah, I went through a similar thing at 21. Dated a girl for almost 6 months, she made me wait. I spotted her in public with her abusive ex boyfriend who she left to be with me in the first place. We all have to learn our lessons haha.

@@Josuegurrola No. This is pretty normal female behavior. This guy let her call the shots, and just followed her around like a little puppy dog for years. Many women enjoy this, and think it's what they want at first... After enough time passes, instinct always prevails, which is why she started seeing him as a beta, explaining why when they eventually did have sex, it didn't make anything better for them - it drove her away in search of an alpha. I understand they got together when they were young, but he wanted a girlfriend - not a friend that happens to be a girl. His mistake was not leading the progression of the relationship - when she said "no, I want to wait until we are older to have sex" he should have politely ended things, and moved on to a new girl. That is alpha behavior - even if a man isn't a natural alpha, always try to behave like one, and surround yourself with other alpha males so you get the right type of comradery and support from other male friends.

She wanted him to wait until it "felt right" to her. But there's something about Chad that just feels right every time.
I met a girl at some group event. We hit it off and I find out she's a musician so I invited her to a jam I participate in weekly and we exchanged numbers. The first time she was supposed to show up she later texts me while it's going on that she fell asleep and that's why she didn't come out. After that, she would randomly call me asking me if I would come over to her place to watch a movie. Because it was so spur of the moment I had to tell her that I was busy and couldn't, to which she tried to invite herself to participate in what I was doing. I declined because the situations weren't appropriate to us hanging out, especially with it being so last minute. Anyway, I continued to invite her to some upcoming music jams but I wouldn't get replies from her and saw that my texts were left on read. I woke up one morning to discover that she had called me at 3:00 am, and so I texted her and jokingly asked if she was drunk or if it was a butt dial. She of course said it was a butt dial. So I text her one last time to let her know that I think there might have been a misunderstanding about my intentions and that I wasn't looking to date anyone at right now (I'm recently divorced), but because I enjoyed talking to her I thought we could at least be friends. She responds telling me that she's relieved because she wasn't looking for anything either but didn't know how to broach the subject, and that she was still very interested in hanging out. So I invite her again to do something else at a later date and she agrees. I check in with her the day before it's supposed to happen and she says she has something else going on. I decided that this girl was flaky and didn't talk to her anymore after that. Three weeks later I get a phone call from her at 8:30 am after I just arrived at work, so out of my curiosity I answer it because I didn't expect to hear from her again and because it was a strange time to receive a call from someone you hardly know. Anyway, the reason she called me was to get my advice about a guy she was interested in and just started seeing, who is a guitarist in some Latin band, who lives in another state, and she had recently slept with. And she went on about how it was out of character for her, with her Conservative and Christian values, blah blah blah. At this point, I'm very confused. I asked her why she was asking me since we hadn't spoken in so long and I told her I honestly didn't expect to hear from her again. She said she thought that I was smart and valued my opinion. Anyway, we spoke for a few minutes and she invites me to this art exhibit she was going to go to on Friday night. I said maybe and told her to text me the info, to which she did. I didn't reply to her or speak to her anymore after that. Even though I'm not looking to jump straight into a dating kind of relationship I saw what she was doing and I wasn't about to let myself be a chump and be this girl's backup option, or whatever it was she was trying to make me. I'm not sure if she wanted me to be jealous over telling me about this guy. It was just weird because we never really got to know each other and we hadn't developed the kind of friendship where she could just call me up to talk about stuff like that, we never even got to the stage of hanging out. So it was very weird.
Anyway, this whole long story is to say that women do shit like this. They want to string you along and have you in their back pocket as an option, and they'll even want to talk to you about their whatever issue they're having with other guys. It's messed up. If I attempted with a woman what she did with me I would have been ghosted and blocked immediately. I can't imagine any women having patience and tolerance for a man calling her up to talk about a girl he had sex with, even if they are just friends. So, not exactly the same as what this guy experienced but it's kind of adjacent. It's the same female mentality.
21teen. These are biological adults but emotional teenagers. He learned a valuable lesson EARLY. Probably needs one or two more during his 20's to catch on to the pattern and then he will be wise to the world of women.
Rich I just went through this over the holidays. Invested over a year and a half into a woman who was also going through a divorce which was a huge mistake. Then over the holidays she is seeing someone and I found out later through her friend she was sleeping with this dudes for months behind my back. I went no contact after she tried to smooth it over and had the nerve to try and friend zone me. I've not spoken with her for over three months now. The sad reality is that I fell in love with this woman only to then feel completely betrayed. The anger and bitterness is still strong and I have zero desire to date right now.
That's sad. I usually wait until the third "date" and if there is no sexual chemistry/tension, I put in zero effort.

He then found out she banged some other dude and promptly dumped her. A few months later he started dating one of her friends and they've been together for 20+ years and have a beautiful family. I’m 61 and still married. A girl I went to high school with gave me the only worthwhile dating advice I ever got from a woman…or even from a lot of men. What did she say? First, any woman who turns you down has done you a favor because, second, if she doesn’t like you she’s probably still willing to work you for money and attention.
If you like her, shoot your shot, but anybody that doesn’t clearly tell you “Yes” or “No” is probably going to waste your time IF you allow it. Stop giving people unearned attention. And I can't believe this guy was strung along for four years. By the third date, if there is no chemistry or sexual tension, I put in minimal effort and only keep her around to attract other women. Kind of like how employers want to hire you when you have a job vs when you're unemployed.
This experience is going to have a significant impact on the kind of man that he becomes and every relationship that he has with every single woman throughout his life. I just hope that he knows this for him is one of his ultimate life lessons. I hope that he learns from and ultimately learns to see and appreciate the value which he brings to the world. Came to this realization last year. I’m 24 years old. Met this girl at my job back in 2022 and we would flirt a lot at work. Never made a move tho. Caught oneitis. She eventually quit and then we started messaging each other over text. I was slow to ask her out. We go out but no intimacy of any kind occurs. Find out from one of her friends that she hooked up with one of her coworkers from her new job who was checking her out and asked her out within a week of her starting the job. Ended up getting friendzoned and cutting contact with her. Was completely heartbroken (lost my appetite, stopped working out, isolated myself etc).
I can sum up his problems in a very few words: He got duped and so ashamed and em-bare-assed for himself that he can't believe it. The good news is, if he's smart, he won't let another woman play with his emotions like that ever again, and realize he need to draw clear lines. Best wishes for the poor fellow. :)

During those yrs I had lots of other women I knew were good for me but I always dropped them when my on & off again GF would come back. What I didn’t realize is that my GF would only come back because the other guys she was “needing time away” from me to be with, ultimately left her. I was just the convenient old stand by & whatever respect she had for me was long gone. They don’t leave you if they truly respect & admire you. And once you lose the respect you can’t get it back. Eventually they find a dude who wants to stay with them, or they get knocked up & there is no “on again” time. These kind of women are just time wasters & keep you from finding another women who will truly value your time

This is the sign of a broken woman that doesn't know how to handle herself and doesn't deserve anything nice. She's just in a position to take. I used to be this in my twenties. It's not something I'm proud of. I am proud to say that I figured it out and I enjoy showing my burning desire every day for my one and only man.
