I'm not sure if this is the best platform to say this, but I just have to say a huge thank you to the composers, Taliesin Jaffe and whoever else has made this video possible. This is my go-to video whenever I want to relieve stress or just regain clarity. Sometimes I just sit listening to this, not thinking about my future or my past but feeling the moment. Sometimes it makes me cry, sometimes it makes me smile. My wife sometimes notices that I am carrying extra weight on my shoulders and she asks me: “Do you want me to put your playlist on?” This just works so perfectly. So thank you for your work. I also love the artwork and it has inspired me a lot.
Furthermore, I have to thank Mr. Jaffe for Caduceus Clay. What a heartwarming character. There is something bigger than life about him. The way he approaches people and the world is so appropriate. He is truly loving: warm and welcoming, but also ready to let go, because love is freedom. Whenever I face a situation in my life nowadays where it is not intuitive for me what to do or how to behave, I ask myself: “What would Caduceus do?” I never knew a D&D character could inspire and guide me this much. If by any chance you are reading this Taliesin, I want you to know that here is another soul that you have touched so deeply. Thank you so much and may your life be full of joy.
I do the same thing! I struggle with a bit of PTSD from work and this playlist really helps me on hard days. I roll out a yoga mat and just lie down listening to this. I agree about Caduceus, he is so thoughtful and caring it totally disarms me. For example, when he says “dont worry mushrooms the earth will remember you” I totally fixated on how charming that thought is. The nurturing earth remembers everything no matter how small…even a mushroom. Then I thought does the Earth remember us all? Probably not…but maybe it does, something very comforting about that.
Same im going through a lot of mental health issues and get super overwhelmed at school, but this always manages to calm me down. Caduceus is a great comfort character and just has a great vibe. A mighty vibe, if you will

I went to see my mother yesterday and played her this while I said my final goodbyes to her. It seemed appropriate to say goodbye with a song that celebrates life. She passed last night due to cancer and this song will now forever be burned into my memory along with her. Thank you for this guys!

I'm having a rough night. Just a big depression slump. I'm listening and I hear Cad say "hello mushrooms, the earth will remember you" and I just started crying... I thought to myself "Would the earth remember me when I'm gone? Would anyone?" And I listened to his voice again and i felt a weird sense of comfort. I dont have any friends so getting to kinda vent to anyone who'll listen is kinda nice. Even if it's just shouting into the void. Critical role has saved my life a few times before, and it may sound silly but cads wisdom is such a comforting force that I needed in my life. Thank you Taliesin.

I heard people say how much they connected to the characters of Critical Role, and while I enjoyed the show I never felt that kind of connection to any of them, until Caduceus came along. I like how differently and genuinely he sees the world.
Of the crew Tal is my least favorite but i feel this 100%. typing this as i cry over "The earth will remember you." melancholy got me good right now.

Thank you so much for creating this work of art. My horse is 30+ years old. She has been retired for almost 8 months. I come out to where I board her almost daily to feed her and spend time with her as her time is coming to an end (after 17 years together). I always play different lofi mixes to her. This one, with Cad's soothing and persistent comments on death, brings me so much peace. It brings her peace as well... I am currently trying watching her doze while standing as she listens. The earth will remember her... and I will too...

@@Cybercoin Yes she does, as a metagame way to poke fun at Taliesin Jaffe for that Percy line being a little dumb. I personally loved that line by Percy but I know I'm in the minority on that one XD
Taliesin always got flak for that one but I instantly associated it with that quote from Lawrence of Arabia: "There is nothing in the desert, and no man needs nothing." Made it a lot less awkward sounding to my ears than it really was.
It amazes me that Taliesin came up with Molly and Caduceus back-to-back, so iconic. And with this animation, who doesn't envision themselves a Firbolg? I might finally be done with elves. Serious props to Kami and Kevin.
I have to admit, when they came out with the redesign of the firbolg for 5e I was entirely against it. I wanted my giant nature vikings from previous editions dammit! But with the way Nila and Caduceus were played, I was gradually won over.

I love how each background captures each of the personalities of the mighty nien. Jester's was bright and filled to the brim with tiny nods and jokes, Caleb's was less busy and more focused (even to the point of forgetting the time limit of dancing lights and needing to recast), and now Caduceus quiet calm and at peace while being on the surface minimum but as you stare little details whisper like the wild mother

I would just like to say that the second red starlike mushroom by the front of the log looks an awful lot like a stink horn. This was the first mushroom to be catalogued in Australia because it was one of the nastiest things the explorers had ever smelt. Apparently smells like a rotting corpse, might remind Clay of his home, and how only he would see the true beauty of it. 🌸🌸🍄

Another fun little detail is the tea kettle: it’s green with a drawing of cherry blossom on it, referencing the color scheme Taliesin used when creating Cad: an Arizona Tea bottle

The next one could be music with Veth/Nott and Yeza. I think a good setting would be in a building and they are both making potions and other chemical stuff. And cool effects could be like Veth/Nott using mage hand and tapping yeza on the shoulder when he is not looking. And a small mirror that tilts or turns every now and then and you can see the other version of veth/Nott. So if the video has Nott in it while the mirror is turning you can see veth for just a split second.

Played this whilst my girlfriend and i were making stew on a cold rainy night (we're in Australia and its winter over here), it was so nice and relaxing for her as she had been suffering from sensory overload this afternoon and this really helped take the edge off it. she also likes the animations of the different kinds of fungi growing on the log so that's also a big plus. (shes a huge plant nerd and i love her)

I listen to this almost every day at work (I'm a writer, so music without words is my bread and butter!). Somehow, every time I get to the part where he says, “Might be time to warm up another kettle," I'm out of tea and it reminds me to fill up with another one. Tea is absolutely my writing fuel, so this is undoubtedly one of my favorite Mighty Vibes videos!

It was to good to be true.
That animation is so hypnotic. I really love the way he holds his cup with two fingers curled under it. Also the fact that you can see him swishing his tea in his mouth every time he takes a drink. It’s tiny details like those that really make a character come to life.
acoustic lo-fi seems EXACTLY correct for caduceus. also, it was so cool learning that the mercer family had a hand in a bunch of these tracks!
I was completely unaware of how happy Cad's voice made me until I found myself smiling every time the audio snippets played.
I'd love for Fjords first half of the track to have voice samples of him with his southern accent.
Then in the second half the vibes get a bit more loose and the voice samples are with his natural accent

I keep coming back here whenever I need comfort or need to relax. I wish I could sit with Caduceus and have some tea with him...and maybe ask for a hug strong enough to press my soul back into my body.

the vibes in this one are beyond IMMACULATE. my heart is so full
There's something about this lofi mix that just keeps bringing me back. Maybe it's the visuals of Caduceus casually influencing the course of nature around him, moving infrequently but significantly. Maybe it's the softly glowing lights and brightly hued mushrooms which tell a tale of an alien but beautiful world.
But the thing I think that is the most haunting for me is just the music. The gentle guitar and the vibrations echoing into the distance sing songs of yearning, love, and unknowable beauty. You can hear tragedy in those notes but always as an abstract inevitability instead of as a dark reminder of mortality. It makes one want to stop and just fade into the rhythms of the universe.
In short, this is the music of Caduceus.
I just realized that the beetle in the foreground has a captain Tusktooth pattern on its back :D

I adore the symbolism here, and I realise that this is how it is now, but I can't help but hold out hope anyway.
I see that moving on is necessary and important, but he is still very much a member of the Nein in my heart, and it breaks me to see that he is only in the atmosphere now, no longer present in anything but the symbolism.
I'd say rest in peace, but it's been two years and still I wish he'd do anything but.

I think Caduceus would say 'Wishing is natural, it's the first step in making things happen; not necessarily the things that need to happen for you to get your wish, but the push to change one thing will lead to changes in other places. Given the pandemic and the loss everyone is experiencing both as a whole and in many cases on very personal levels, he has been exactly what I've needed personally.
ive been going through a rough time this last week. i also have issues with depression, anxiety and suicidal ideations. i used this to meditate and do yoga today. timing my breathing with cad's was a huge help. thank you, taliesin.
I'll repeat a comment here that I posted during the premiere on Twitch: the fingerpick guitar style will always remind me of my dad's old Phil Keaggy albums, it's such a relaxing and nostalgic sound for me. Because of that, this might be my favorite mix yet. I love that these collections have grown beyond just lo-fi to embrace other styles of music while retaining their mission of giving us music to chill to.

Steve Johnston okay, that does make sense. Nothing against these artists but I’ve been consistently disappointed at the lack of Autumn Orange tracks on these playlists but yea. He kinda tells the story of the characters through his songs and I could definitely see how, if someone wasn’t caught up on the show, there could be some big spoilers.

i come back to this every time i feel stressed or anxious. caduceus is my fav character from all crit role campaigns his rock solid core and realistic but positive outlook on life really brings me joy everytime. reliving my most healing moments from campaign 2 everytime i listen to this.

Not sure how many people listen to this, but it's my daughters favorite sleep time music. We visit this mix almost every night but at least two or 3 times a week. Thank you for bringing it into being.
Her oldest toy and second or third favorite is "goosey" after I named it cadeusus after she went to hospital on the day she was born. And was there month in and out and deusy was the only one she was allowed to have with her in the NICU. Just amazing what gets you through things. This show, this character and this music helped me through a really dark patch in my life. So thank you.

I love the vibes of this one, the calm environment, Caduceus manipulating the mushrooms, the overall purpley theme. Right up there with Mighty Vibes Vol 2 as my favorite.
I don't know what plant it is, but the light purple one to the very left of the screen, it almost looks heart shaped but that's also the shape of Molly's tail, and there are tarot cards and forget me nots in the lower right corner. My heart

Honestly, I think this is the best Mighty Vibes compilation. At least for what I use it, that is concentration purposes, there is nothing better than Cadeuceus' drawl talk and the magic, relaxing tunes of the music to forget about the world and focus on your task.... which is a very Cadeuceus thing to say.
