I used to really love this band. Learned fiddle because of ketch and Frank Fairfield. Their latest albums I'm not into, after they lost Willie. But they always put on a fun performance.
Lol, who puts a commercial right in the middle of Wagon Wheel? If I were tempted to watch Deadpool and Wolverine, they cured me by their heresy, interrupting something this amazing. (Yes, that happened.)
Idk why NPR said they covered Wagon Wheel because Ketch Secor actually helped write it from a Bob Dylan song called “Rock Me, Mama” that they couldn’t understand the lyrics to.
I just can’t hear Bob Dylan + OCMS’s co-written song Wagon Wheel without thinking about how angry Darius Rucker was that he didn’t win the Grammy for his cover of their song.
Funny guys! ((It's a pity that the double bass was too quiet - there would have been even more drive!) / весёлые ребята! ((Жаль, что контрабас был слишком тихо - драйва было бы ещё больше!)
Darius, although obviously coming before these guys (and a legend) actually covered them with his version of Wagon Wheel. Old Crow wrote the song, based on an old refrain that Bob Dylan never completed (which he got from an old bluesman)!
Serious contender for the most fun a musician has had on Tiny Desk!!
Wow, that energy is infectious!
This has the feeling of a Tiny Desk ten years back- the good ol' days.
really nice to see people loving what they're doing
They should make a movie about these guys
He rocked his hat right off of his head!!
Tiny desk tiny hat
I wondered how long it would take before his hat fell haha, not too long..
Raised my energy, that's for sure!
Splendid show !!
It sounds like from other times… awesome. Will be looking into them
Thanks OCMS and Tiny Desk for the infectious toe tapping vibes. Love your work, all the way from New Zealand!.
Saw them a couple weeks ago at the Grand Ole Opry. Amazing show, and now to find them on Tiny Desk.
Musicianship with unlimited energy 🎉 amazing show
Great way to start my day. Thanks NPR
I love these guys!
Is this the first appearance of Old Crow on Tiny Desk?! They are simply the best at what they do!
Sad that they are only now on the show after years of being one of the best
Got back from a trip Home to Kentucky and now, I miss it again. Great set and god-like SE, as usual.
What a glorious surprise this morning! Love. Love. Love.

Man I would love to see these guys live. I'm not even that into this type of music but fantastic energy, love it.
These guys are so much fun to watch! Great show!
I like punk and metal, pretty exclusively. This rules and now I'm a fan.
I used to really love this band. Learned fiddle because of ketch and Frank Fairfield. Their latest albums I'm not into, after they lost Willie. But they always put on a fun performance.
Yea I miss Willie Watsons voice in the band.
most fun tiny desk in a while
So good love wagon wheel.

Absolutely magnificent. It gives me good memories from Tennessee but I’ve never been there. 😂😂😂
Same! I will meet you there.

Saw them on their tour when they covered Blonde on Blonde. Always a great live band

wonderful
One of the best bands around! Killer live show 🔥 🔥 🔥
I've got myself a new favourite band :D
Why did it take so long to get these guys on Tiny Desk? Glad they finally got to do this. Because they are an amazing string band!!! True bluegrass
Poor mandolin, just sitting on the piano, never touched 😢
Jason Kelce is pretty good on the banjo.
OCMS was an unexpected and welcome surprise today, thanks Tiny Desk!
Thanks. After reading the news this morning I really needed this. :-)
Hootie Who?? Keep on rockin' brethren!
The BEST!!!!

Energia pura.
OCMS is the absolute best of the throw-down folk bands.
💜💜much love!
OCMS at Red Rocks is on my bucket list!
People forget they started covering Wagon Wheel. I love their original version. No offense Hootie.
Bob Dylan wrote it first
Troll trigger warning!! Lol
@@2007bASS true. But I mean they came before Darius Rucker
@@2007bASSDylan wrote the basic refrain. They approached Dylan to write a full song based on his incomplete hook. Everyone else has covered OCMS.
hootie is garbage. they started as an “old time” band. before the dylan cover. and the music was much better then
This "Wagon Wheel" was so intense it blew off Ketch's hat!
Love the incorporation of the harmonica, great vocals as well 😊🤙🏼😎
When you're rockin so hard your hat jumps off in fear
That riff (?) at 1:55 was so nice
楽し過ぎる!!
Nice!

a quick google and I found that Dylan wrote wagon wheel decades ago and finished the song with old crow here in modern times.
Man I miss Willie Watson
His new album is one of my faves from this year
Saw him live the other day, he's still making amazing music
Yeah, it’s not the same. Ketch lost me over a decade ago
Agreed. OCMS ain't OCMS without Willie Watson
Please invite JMSN to perform! That would be EPIC! 🤌
heyyyyyy mama rock me ❤🤠
I wonder if they get tired of that song... =~)
muy buenoo

Great stuff! (but why betterhelp, they're really awful)
But lyfe Jennings not big enough to do one of these ? 😂😂😂
Not bigger than this band.
What a funny Darius Rucker cover band - and they even have a few original songs!

Wait....? Do you really think that is an original D. Rucker song?
