He had a choice on how to handle the situation without shooting unless needed. She didn't give him a reason to shoot her. She showed no force of violence towards him, she was actually backing away, how scared she was showed on her face. He could've called the police especially since she was no threat to him. He could've took her to his neighbors.

She's dead and the media is playing this as the 81 year old is the REAL victim, He feels threatened BEFORE the she arrives but does NOT police, instead sees old black lady approaching his home and decides HE'S going to take care this personally and then call the police. 81 years old so he remembers when this type of action will go unpunished (an still may). This is nuts. My parents almost recently got scammed by this same scam. Told my parents my brother was in jail and they are his lawyer and needed 10k for bail. Man dad went to the bank and a driver showed up. My dad finally realized what was going on and stopped and called my brother who was sitting at home. Crazy.
They got my Dad for almost $300. Told me I was going to jail, if I didn’t pay a fine over the phone. My very caring father paid it. That was like 15 yrs ago.

Please add this - if it is real they will leave a message. DO NOT call the number they give you, but find the number online or in your phone listings ( bank etc.) It is EASY to find out information about you online Don't trust the phone calls.

I know the old man was upset because he thought this woman was associated with the people that were blackmailing him, but the video proves this is cold blooded murder. The woman was clearly scared, disabled, and retreating, not a threat at all. He knew it too, which is why he lied to police about being attacked. The scammers could be anyone cause not only do they spoof phone numbers, they could also pretend to be someone dead or alive and use a fake destination as their phone location. Mostly a lot of them trace back to Nigeria.

Scammers are getting really good at targeting people with dementia/alzheimers over the phone and then they move in: set up the scam, scare the person, usually living alone, and the world starts closing in. this guy was one of these victims, but took someone else with him who could barely walk, and was moving away. His "reality" is completely different from anything called "normal". so don't expect him to ACT normal.

If it was dementia he would have probably forgotten about the whole thing by the time she got there. Instead her hung up the phone and made preparations as to how he was gonna kill her.

He shot her so many times. There were even pauses in between shots. Heartbreaking. He even mocks her by yelling "help" and tells her something like, you want me to shoot you in the head? For those of you who heard the audio, you can tell she was terrified.
