"I've been thinking lately. About you and me. About what's going to happen to us in the end. We're going to kill each other, aren't we? Perhaps you'll kill me. Perhaps I'll kill you. Perhaps sooner. Perhaps later. I just wanted to know that I'd made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once." - The Killing Joke
How I would rank the Arkham Games: 1. Arkham City - Perfect, Best Batman Story 2. Arkham Knight - Too Much Tank, Great Story, Very Interactive, Great Side Quests 3. Arkham Asylum - Obviously Small and Less Interactive, Good Story 4. Arkham Origins - Too Buggy, Cheesy Prequel Story, Surprisingly Strong Multiplayer
***** It just tried too much to be an Origins story, so many cliches and overdramatic villain reveals, especially the disappointing anticipation of having Black Mask be the main villain instead we get another Joker story.
You know, Origins was a pretty damn good game... it's just, having this masterpiece as its predecessor? It sure will disappoint. Epic story, awesome gameplay, top notch voice acting and a wonderful OST. It really doesn't get any better than this.
the people who created the arkham games are just an amazing group of individuals. they've pieced everything together so well and have represented batman and the entire cast just so well.
Rushabh Kaddu Thank you very, VERY kindly Rushabh, your information is completely, dead-on accurate. Your answer is literally on the dime. Thank you once again for providing that name of that theme song. I always wondered what it was called & now I have that information. Again thank you very kindly. :-)
While some may call this game overrated, I find it phenomenal. Easily a contender for my favorite game of all time. I can't decide though. I get so nostalgic listening to this spectacular soundtrack. The thought of getting this game back when this game hadn't released was exhilarating. Listening to the main theme makes me want to cry.
That's actually interesting, since The Dark Knight Returns' soundtrack also have such influences from Zimmer&Howard's work... Similarly, 90's Animated Series and related films have something common with Danny Elfman's score in Burton's Batman. I think it's nice to have such connections (if they are done intentionally) between Batman scores of different eras.
This game has to be the BEST game ever made this generation, it has beautiful graphics, an amazing story line, fluid combat controls and amazing Voice Acting along side Cut scenes that look like they should be in a movie.
I put this game up there with the Mass Effect trilogy for best games I ever bought for my Xbox 360. Despite having so many newer games an a One, I still go back to play Arkham City. After all, it is the only Arkham game where I can use the Batman Beyond batsuit. I heard about Arkham Asylum and didn't buy it or City because I thought they would just be more cheap knockoff superhero games. I bought City with all the DLC for $20, and I was totally blown away. Then I heard Mark Hammil's voice and I instantly had flashbacks to watching Batman The Animated Series as a kid. This is probably the best Batman game ever. If Arkham Knight is at least half as good, it'll be one I keep for a long time.
Crispy Potatoes I liked arkham asylums combat, it differed from the others, showed that batman didn't have all the gadgets he had in city, although origins completely fucked that up, uhhh forget what I said!
That's not really what I'm talking about. I went back to it a week ago or so, after playing through Knight and it's very unrefined and not as precise as Knight's, which is my problem with it. Sometimes batman doesn't exactly do what I want and combos and such are very primitive.
Best Batman game ever made. Definitely better than Arkham Knight. City has the best soundtrack, best story, best DLC and many other things. Next, it was the most Batman-like game. The map was dark and grim, which suits batman perfectly. Although, I would have to say that Knight did have the best side quests, but City's side quests were really good nonetheless.
16:17 is the music that plays when you take out an armed hostage in a secured area during a mission. Now I realize there is way too much chorus in these tracks, but they managed to pull it off somehow and make it cool
Hmm I wonder why this soundtrack is so much shorter than Asylum's, the Main Theme and I Think You Should Do as He Says are two of the greatest video game tracks ever.
333rd comment just wanna let you know, I got this as a birthday gift about 7 yrs ago. And one of the best I ever got. I hold this game dearly in my heart.
there is no name out yet kavein conroy said at a confrence at comiccon that rocksteady doesn't want him to talk about it but he still said he was working on a new batman game
Arkham City Main Theme [In an interrogation room] Bad: Wham. Gotcha! Let's Hear Him Squeal! How Does It Feel, Pig? Good:It's Not Even Breakfast! I Know What You Guys Are Thinking! It Was The Joker! This score should be part of the new live action Batman movies.. I think arkham city (on its own) has the definitive Batman Badass, dark , sarcastic, good guy, no killing rule .. caring , menacing His default suit is cool, the mask looks cool, armor looks classic and modern His cape looks elegant perfect Batman I wish we got more stories with this Batman.. Arkham asylum (yes I know it’s supposed to be the same version) he was written little differently he looked older Arkham origins he seemed like a completely different take on Batman Arkham knight’s Batman looked too futuristic and a lot younger plus the Bruce Wayne character model looks slightly different too ..
In a way we dont need movies anymore. This game is definitive batman. And the voice actors and writers have worked on other batman stuff which makes it more awesome.
Actually DC started releasing comics first. Though, when it was founded in 1934, it was called "National Allied Publications". Marvel was made in 1939, under the name of "Timely Publications". The first Superhero film was made by DC it was called "Superman and the Mole Men" in 1951. The first Marvel film was in 1978 it was called "Dr. Strange". DC made their first game "Superman" in 1878. Marvel made their first game: "Spider-Man" in 1982.
I think Nick Arundel used Hans Zimmer's work as inspiration, both this theme and his sound quite similar but there's no doubt they are both EPIC! And it's actually great that they sound similar because that way Batman from the films and batman from the games are more connected :)
well it may be the 4th game in the series but its technically the 3rd game at the same time because arkham origins is well an origin story and doesnt progress the storyline when rocksteady finishes the next arkham game which kevin conroy has confirmed that hes working on it and it does exist, that will be the true 3rd game though im sure origins will kick ass, lookin forward to it :D
I don't think we were supposed to feel sorrow for jokers death, I actually looked down on joker when he died and felt like saying good riddance dirt bag. his performance by Mark Hamill was so great it made me feel like I was in batman's shoes. batman wasn't pitying him either he just felt relieved.
When a man dressed up as a bat succeeds in every form of media
ahsan nawab Makes sense to me
Brad with a cherry on top Funny but true lol
That's what happens when your extremely extremely awesome.
@@thecapedcrusader6710 huh shit I commented this 5 years ago, wow. That's trippy
@@brade7022 that's what happens when a soundtrack is extremely awesome. Hope you had a good 5 years. 2016 don't seem that long ago.
I love this soundtrack. Especially when you're doing the Predator parts with the stealth, and you take them out one by one the music just escalates.
I love that kind of interactive music.
True!
Best game ever. Period.
***** It says that on any GOTY copy of any game, just saying
+Mert Sirin Not best game ever but close.
Personally, it's my second, after the original "Doom." They're close, though.
Maybe if the timeline was better not just based on one night
Not even close. But it's all preference I guess.
"That actually is... (coughs) ... pretty funny!'"
- Batman and The Joker's final words to each other
Zevik or since Knight is out now if some people (like me) consider those last ones in that game
“I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman!”
TheAlmightyLoaf the last words to each other was joker saying I need you.
@@pickle_chin_5557 Not as cool as the 'I am vengeance' line though! haha
Behold, the greatest game ever made.
+Galactic Wizard not sure infinty up there for sure but very good story
+Gollum Vader INFINITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! BEST GAME EVA!!!!
cool
Galactic Wizard if only it wasn't based on one night
Gollum Vader it’s opinion based sooo chill let him be
1:56 Goddamn that piece is just excellent and pure magic
I'm so glad Nick Arundel is composing the music for Arkham Knight as well. This is just so good.
I would love a soundtrack preview right about now.
DoomnightK some of the soundtracks are similar
DoomnightK They took some of the ost from AC and used it in AK.
+DoomnightK Too bad the Arkham Knight ost sucks balls compared to this one (excluding the songs they brought from here to there)
Player One I said it sucked balls compared to Arkham City's ost. That doesn't mean it's bad on its own (which it isn't).

***** I forgot to mention that 3rd place is like a massive gap to Origins meaning 3rd = not second worst but third best)
***** It just tried too much to be an Origins story, so many cliches and overdramatic villain reveals, especially the disappointing anticipation of having Black Mask be the main villain instead we get another Joker story.
***** Not in Knight, good to have company :) except for that time where he gave me a heart attack when i was grapnel boosting in buildings
Is Origins still worth buying?
***** alright, I'm at the final from Arkham City right now and this game made me fall in love with whole series, somehow. Thanks!
Just have to love the Main theme!
Ikr
And 51:57
i still cant find the theme with the vocals in the background and really upbeat music i will not stop.
I found it do u still want it?
8:30 to 10:50 sounds like what Batman should be about.
Dude I love you.
You know, Origins was a pretty damn good game... it's just, having this masterpiece as its predecessor? It sure will disappoint.
Epic story, awesome gameplay, top notch voice acting and a wonderful OST.
It really doesn't get any better than this.
I don't know Mr J would you not prefer the game that you survive through to the one where you do not?
Origins was better than Knight.
Okay let's not take it too far, Tom
Daniel Lima But it's true.
Origins is a good game but it also played it safe, it didn't do anything new yet it didn't do anything wrong either. it just kind of exists
best game ever
I will never forget 51:45...
sw19921709 *cries RIP JOKER!!!
Oh my god meeting Azreal and him telling me gotham will burn... the music just fit
Same
the people who created the arkham games are just an amazing group of individuals. they've pieced everything together so well and have represented batman and the entire cast just so well.
That one theme music, -- I don't know what it's called -- I really like that one. That's truly the best for me. Very suspenseful. It's at 15:30
It's called, I think you should do as he says. If you want to know all the names to these songs check the discription.
its called the church of the poisoned mind if i am not mistaken

McCaler No problem although that was my brother using my phone! Welcome on his behalf!
Best theme especially when stealthing on them from gargoyles. pumped my blood up
43:50 is just amazing
thank you for a proper copy of this. a lot of other copies on here have terrible audio quality - it was hurting my ears.

The thought of getting this game back when this game hadn't released was exhilarating. Listening to the main theme makes me want to cry.
People will call any critically acclaim game overrated. People will always share different opinions.
I love how all of the songs are distinct, but they all bear some similarity to each other. Really makes it more cohesive.
42:50 oh yeah!
Dim Rus FUCK YEAH!!!
Dim Rus 43:10 though, that's even better
Sudden Death sounds a bit like the invasion theme from Arkham knight
That picture about Batman and Harley is worth a thousand words
It's badass yet sexy.
This game is the best piece of Batman content ever made.
You can see the influence from the scores of Christopher Nolan's Batman series.

You mean "The Dark Knight Rises" :D Hans Zimmer composed the scores to Christopher Nolan's Batman films.
No no, I meant the animation adaptation frank miller's of tdkr, and the influence from tdk and tdk-rises. And it's far better than nolan's tdkr
Ahh, okay.

Listen to "It's Initiation Time" at Speed Setting 1.5. Sounds epic!

I've thought of that many many times.
Kampfhund yeh sounds quite a bit like it

I loved the Arkham Series, it has superb everything! Not to mention an amazing Riddler Revival!
Soundtrack PERFECT of Batman.

@ 1:43 Epic!!
for me, I felt there were elements from every popular Batman themes rolled into this game, throughout its soundtrack... which I thought was brilliant
This makes watching the rain outside absolutely epic!
I rarely laugh so much when reading comments, this was my kind of humour
. Must have been an important sandwich to involve such a dramatic score.
Always glad to entertain a stranger. *bows*
Every seconed a eargasm
the arkham city theme is just too damn good
Well said. I can think of very few other games that match all that. Arkham City is one of the best games ever created.
I love the main theme. Makes me feel all badass on the inside
Oh, Thank you so much!
6:32 is the best part besides the main theme
16:17 is the music that plays when you take out an armed hostage in a secured area during a mission. Now I realize there is way too much chorus in these tracks, but they managed to pull it off somehow and make it cool
Hmm I wonder why this soundtrack is so much shorter than Asylum's, the Main Theme and I Think You Should Do as He Says are two of the greatest video game tracks ever.
I'm glad it did - it's inspired. Amazingly though it also reminds me of the first Batman movies by Tim Burton.
The OSTs that have made a mark on me are 0:00, 15:29, 30:53, and 49:07.
i thoroughly enjoyed this
I rarely notice the music in a game but this is amazing.
Protocol 10 will commence in 1 hour!
I will never !!! - forget this EPIC GAME one of the BEST games in man's history !!!

Pretty good, I'm impressed
the music osts are so amazing but 4 me my favorite soundtrack of them all is the no.7 i think you should do what he says
DC video games are fantastic
I always notice the music in a game but this is still frickin' epic!

This music even makes cooking epic!
Behold! The world's greatest overpowered game ever made in over a thousands of games ever made.
i'm not used to hearing the soundtrack without the sounds of impaling bullets coming after me
Great game Warner Bros. and Rocksteady :)

The Riddler is the one enemy I have left. His smug taunts and Riddler trophies have pissed me off time and again. Nigma, I'm coming for you . . .
This score should be part of the new live action Batman movies..
I think arkham city (on its own) has the definitive Batman
Badass, dark , sarcastic, good guy, no killing rule ..
caring , menacing
His default suit is cool, the mask looks cool, armor looks classic and modern
His cape looks elegant perfect Batman I wish we got more stories with this Batman..
Arkham asylum (yes I know it’s supposed to be the same version) he was written little differently he looked older
Arkham origins he seemed like a completely different take on Batman
Arkham knight’s Batman looked too futuristic and a lot younger plus the Bruce Wayne character model looks slightly different too ..

Have You Got My Location - 08:30 and You Should Have Listened To My Warning are my favorite :D

I think it's a great mix-up of both Zimmer's Dark Knight soundtrack and Danny Eflman's score from Burton's films.
This right here! This is why it sounds so dark and whimsical and epic at the same time.
18:05 somebody know the name of the soundtrack
For my opinion the music "It's Iniciaton Time" and "Batman Arkham City Theme" is the best songs
what a game..... Batman is the best
I've never played a game so good and complete since Baldur's Gate.
There is one thing we could ask for... A sequel! No, not a prequel, a sequel! I know what happens at the end, but still!
