@@globetrottingunlimited Namibia and South Africa were one country. But after independence SA wanted hold on to Walvis Bay, which is impossible because Walvis Bay is even far away from their borders. It never really belonged to them as you put it
@@globetrottingunlimited In 1795 a crew of a british battle ship annexed the port. In 1875 the port and the surrounded area was taken by Richard C. Dyer into possesion for the british crown. In 1910 when the Union of Southafrica was created, Walfish Bay became part of the province of the western cape. Only in 1994 the port and the surrounding land was given to Namibia.
Let me say it is not dangerous here there is big population of white residents of Walvisbay, let alone Namibia as a whole, yes you may see crimes here and there, but I can assure that thus country is safe,we have big population of German speaking Namibians due to our past history and you will also find Afrikaans speaking people who are of the Dutch origin few English speaking and other nationals who are staying here as citizens. Let me say as far as crimes are concerned Namibia is far better compared to other some countries. I requesting you to make small research in whatever you are interested in concerning Namibia.Thanks.
Well i disagree crime according to the population is out of control, a few years ago my office wad robbed by what we call betsotsis, after being arrested to same two walked by my office 2 days later, upon which i contacted the police station and was told that they cant hold them in the cells as the cells were bursting at the seams, well now you got another perspective so you be the judge
Fascinating!!! If Namibia had a higher population density and thus could support more small business people, I would consider moving there.
