The SD RX78-2 release prior to the latest one is a fave SD of mine. Has opening hatches to reveal some mech insides! Something the newer incarnation of the SD RX78-2 is sadly missing. I've always been an old school RX78-2 fanboy.
Didn't know you could just pop off the pieces for the SD kits, that's cool. Also I'd loved to see a Master Grade SD, no, wait, I'm serious. One of those guys with loads of extra sculpted detail and maybe more articulation. Less stickers and more sprus. SD are cool, and this it he best one I've seen to date as the simple style of the 0 lends itself well to the SD scale... I'm sold! 0 Gundam is close to being my favourite all time Gundam! Great Video!
Nice building video. I've to try out the new SDs some days. I've no experience with these (relatively) new PC joint arrangements and am curious if they work well. Was there any damage visual to the parts after releasing them with bare hands? This tool-less system made problems on my keroro kit. Thanks for showing! OT: The childs voice sounds a bit like the beginning of beatnutz - it's da nuts . Brings back old times ^^
i like the fact that you can snap the parts off so u could do some assembly in a car / on a plane so that would b cool. personaly i would need 2 paint it sand it and detail it.
0 Gundam; now with Wings of Light! xD Great build video, as always. Even without music, these videos are such fun to watch... See you at the next video! (BTW, I can't help but think that the voice at the end of some of your newer videos might just be the next generation of 2Old4Toys... "2Young4Toys", perhaps? xD)
Long time since we chatted! I am a beast with the bags... Actually I had just a 30min window free for me to film this so I was in a big hurry to get it all done and it kinda shows.
i almost forgot how quick these kits can be completed without all the painting and stuff...im really digging that GN particle effect piece but NOT the blue rilfe -_- ...though i find it funny how the v-fin is yellow...i couldve sworn it was white...did you also get the exia r2 SD? hopefully that one aint as bad
I didn't use any tools to cut any parts out in this video. You can simply pop them off the tree with your bare hands... very kid friendly these recent SDs.
From a modeler's perspective... its not good that there is some scars left over on the parts from hand picking them off the tree. I find it difficult to effectively use nippers/hobby knife on these kits that have zero gate material. The priority for Bandai is to make these kits safe for little kiddywinks so no need for sharp tools. The occasional rough spot on parts is not a problem for the intended market agegroup. They will never so this on serious kits....
LOL plastic crack! You're funny! Also how much was this model? I got an SD Zeta plus for 5 bucks and the articulation sucks! I kinda just got it to test my spraypaints on though so I guess it doesn't really matter.
The SD's are specially made to allow you to pull the parts off the tree without tools. The instructions specify it. However, don't do this with High Grades... better use nippers to remove parts for those kits.
The kits are inexpensive so children will part with their pocket money to buy them. The minimal gate material is a deliberate design choice to allow children to safely pop the parts off with just their fingers and not need any sharp tools. young children wont care about small scars on their model parts.
Actually... for more expensive kits, its better to have the mor traditional method to remove parts with tools. I expect they will only use this easy no tools parts for chepo kits.
I realise you were just being helpful. I like 2Odd4Toys... not that it's an in-joke or anything. You are supposed to think "ha ha... he spelt his own name wrong" but in actual fact it was made that way on purpose. I am probably sick in the head and need help.
Search TH-cam for "anatomy Gundam" and watch the video at the top of the results. You will find at the start of my video that I use wire cutters and a hobby knife.
at least u arent as bad as me i painted my 0 gundam n it took me half a day or so lmao.... oh ya u forgot about the antenna stickers or left it away purposely to make it look lyk RX-78-2 ??? xD
yes, as same as from other SD Gundam 00 kits. for me, this is one of MOST DISAPPOINTING joint compare to the arms from SD Gundam G Generation Neo series and other SD kits which has elbow articulations. =_="
lol you really gave no love to the kit the way you handled it, but then again its a kidZ kit and no PG ^^ sd Kits seem to cry for painting and modification and since they are affordable, horrible stickers.

My OCD went apeshit when you put the stickers on. Anyway, I love your videos! Keep'em coming! :D

another great video as always...my favorite part had to have been when you just tore open those bags like a savage!
"and get them hooked on their brand of plastic crack."
I dont know what it is but that stuck me as the funniest thing i seen today!!
xacto knife, black fine tip gundam marker, nail clippers, and various spray paints

Surely a custom with all the accessories and body parts combined with a formal look
True, but then again, they never were intended to. They're just for fun, or kids, or for those who want a cheap kit to do custom work with.
Ah... But I enjoyed the regular comments from those pointing out the supposed "typo"
i love your videos XD

Thanks for the reminder!
he looks pretty cool!

You forgot the white stickers for the weird yellow v-fins
There are not so many parts and they are easy to identify visually. Its easier than you expect.
i almost forgot how quick these kits can be completed without all the painting and stuff...im really digging that GN particle effect piece but NOT the blue rilfe -_- ...though i find it funny how the v-fin is yellow...i couldve sworn it was white...did you also get the exia r2 SD? hopefully that one aint as bad
My objective was to show what these kiddy kits look like when put together simulating an impatient child using no tools whatsoever.
I loled at seeing him break out all the pieces first i did that on the OO Raiser Sd kit that i bought 3 of for laughs
I love building SD Gundams, just because they are so fast, easy and fun, but I hate applying stickers. Urk.
Wow, that looks awesome... and it's not even painted! ;o
I didn't use any tools to cut any parts out in this video. You can simply pop them off the tree with your bare hands... very kid friendly these recent SDs.
I can't believe the micro ones are like 8 bucks on Amazon and the amount of parts here so little I'm thinking of 1 hour build for this
So do all recent gunpla gundams have these type of trees? (the ones were you just snap the peices off of it?
im planning to start building gundam models soon do you suggest any items that i may need before i start?
then how about the other gundam models like 1/144 hg arios and 00 gundam
how did u cut the pieces out perfectly for them
and wat tools did u use
I brought some dubstep what did you guys bring?
I don't want any more of my videos to get unplugged by TH-cam for using music I don't own :( hence... "Bring your own music"

its basically the rx-78 with fins and a gn drive O.o
LOL plastic crack! You're funny! Also how much was this model? I got an SD Zeta plus for 5 bucks and the articulation sucks! I kinda just got it to test my spraypaints on though so I guess it doesn't really matter.
Wow, can't believe you just popped them off like that! Can you do the same thing with high grade gundams or does it look weird?
The SD's are specially made to allow you to pull the parts off the tree without tools. The instructions specify it. However, don't do this with High Grades... better use nippers to remove parts for those kits.
+2Old4Toys hmmm so its sort of specific by grade am i correct?
+ATSP2005 only kiddie SD type kits are like this.
nicktube333 This series just like that, coz the sprue is thin
Is it possible to use the effect parts on a 1/144 model without having to carve into the 1/144's plastic?
the wings kinda make it look like destiny gundam
00:27 that damn Ribbons
Hi dude. Would you recommend these SD kits for beginners? Thanks.
very nice, 5 star.
You're welcome... :3
a PSP video game kit how much strange SD is going to get?
cam you put a 00 model in to the saber hilt
The kits are inexpensive so children will part with their pocket money to buy them. The minimal gate material is a deliberate design choice to allow children to safely pop the parts off with just their fingers and not need any sharp tools. young children wont care about small scars on their model parts.
how do u cut out the pieces perfectly

I didn't like the idea of stickers on the antenna.
Cool u did it without manual
Music in HD (& bring your own Gundam)
Actually... for more expensive kits, its better to have the mor traditional method to remove parts with tools. I expect they will only use this easy no tools parts for chepo kits.
WHAT !!!! IS GUNDAM 00
google for "green cutting mat"
Actually I do this with HG's, MG's and PG's too (see my other videos.). Either way... I am 2old4toys.
I realise you were just being helpful. I like 2Odd4Toys... not that it's an in-joke or anything. You are supposed to think "ha ha... he spelt his own name wrong" but in actual fact it was made that way on purpose. I am probably sick in the head and need help.
Never did like the SD series. Really does no justice to the regular scale models.
@TheRodeschild yea u can to use the wings
wow how i wish HG or MG parts are pluckable
y take out all the parts its gunna be harder to put
glad to see that you can take a joke xD
OMG IS WHITE PLASTICK SUPER EXPLANSIVE 4 THE V PHIN
It's a shame they could have made SD better since the parts are mostly big
Search TH-cam for "anatomy Gundam" and watch the video at the top of the results. You will find at the start of my video that I use wire cutters and a hobby knife.
