Cómo abrir pernos de eje de transmisión BAD y Stuck en automóviles Volkswagen y Audi How to open BAD and Stuck driveshaft bolts in Volkswagen and Audi cars
Good to see that you also work on vw. I followed a lot of your corolla e10 videos but now working on lupo and polo. It is very nice to work on vw because you can remove a bolt by hand after breaking/open it.
I wouldn't have used a power tool to loosen them bolts. This might explain why you had problems to begins with. I'd have used impact only once I'd cracked the bolts loose .
this video lets me feel beter, i thaught my 1.8t just hates me and feeds off my tears... now i know there are other vw that enjoy the passtime not just mine
I did cvs recently. Bolt stripped, got long reach no 12 spline socket, hammered it over the bolt, removal was easy. But then i oiled the other bolts and hammered the bit in lightly and rest also removed easily
@@jcman240 Personally, I am thinking about two other things ...1. How often is the gearbox NOT on the car when the axle needs to be replaced? 2. How the hell does this guy have +300k followers?
Hi! im trying to replace the output shaft seal in the rear differential, A6 C5, i got the axle off but the center bolt (6mm allen) that holds the flange in wont budge. It is very shallow, i can feel it slipping. How do i get it out?
I got the same problem, I used the grinder.. but the driveshaft was installed on the car. There were not plenty room for the grinder, so I managed to come close with the grinder-disc, spot on the rubber-boot, so I replaced that, with a new.. : ) .. Finally it worked for you : ) , but the issue with using other sockets that not fit, using force, is that they could affect unmounting work in future when the "splines" on your tools are worn. anyway, a seeworthy video.. Thanks
Considering you have the housing on the bench and easily accessible! I would have used a set of mull grips tightly clamp in The head of the bolt whilst having hit the tool in, and using a combined force it would have cracked first time no problems after spraying with wd40 or something along those lines! But glad you got it out 🙏
Hammer on a 12mm 12 point socket, job done, literally done this today 2005 VW beetle driveshaft seal replacement those spline socket bolts are utter shit !
Hitting that other tool in also acts as an impacting process and loosening any rust or loctite in the bolt. I always hit bolts that have been on a long time to loosen them first.
I would have went right to the Vise grips. But I suppose that is not an answer for every situation. Some times you do not have the clearance to get them in there.
WTF you never even managed to get the bolt you were trying to undo out, the final part of this video shows you claiming success by removing another bolt that you had not yet stripped off. So to put it blunt this video shows you strip a bolt, then damage the head of 2 diffrent tools before removing a totally diffrent bolt. Lesson learned, you have no idea what you are doing and dont copy you, got it thanks. For anyone looking for help removing these kinds of bolts when they strip out like this, simply file either one or two flat sides so you can grip the head with a good pair of mole grips and they undo quite easly after that with out having to damage any of your tools in the proccess.
Great video for deep sleeping, thanks
Our pleasure!

Good work Peter! These bolts damage very easily!
Yes
I just want to thank you. For the illustration. Absolutely helpful. I think God for you. You helped me so much. Thanks again.
Glad it was helpful!
This is like watching paint dry or listening to an old vinyl stuck on the same spot for 52 million seconds

Good call!
Thank you from silly lil America ❤️
You're welcome 👍
Yes. Learning from your video... thanks
Glad to hear it!

Mucho gracias mi amigo. Eres muy servicial
Thank You for Your comment my Friend. 😀
This method works but not when you have no room under the car
Hi sir, my audi a1 driveshaft has broken, looks like it's broke or popped out from transmission side, any idea?
Most likely
You seem like the most patient mechanic
Thanks for info. 👍

No Peter, tell him to piss off. I bet he can’t speak two languages.

Mikset käytä vastakierre hylsyä? Pääsis paljon helpommalla.
cut the head of the bolt off with a grinder, remive the cv joint and the rest of the bolt will spin out, replace bolts. simple
👍
How do you get a grinder in underneath the car, surrounded by engine castings?
Cut heads , then new bolts.
What tool is tgat

Yes
Like hammering a socket on a swelled aluminum lug nut.

Just cut them of with angle grinder, remove shaft and easily unscrew the bolts,my friend.
Good tip!
Already cut shaft i just do same with bolts and then easy removal would take less then 5min for me
Good. You could do it 40 secons? Thanks and noted 👍👍
In the first 3 minutes we only got to know that you have a rounded bolt.
Many Thanks.
6:23 for a Audi A3 8P
1st setting 10 NM
Second setting 70NM
for the hub bolt 200NM+180% 😀
Torque angle gauge BlueSpot 07940 will do the Job.
Great Work 👍
painfull , pop the driveshaft out of the gearbox or use the correct tool .
Noted 👍
Labour intensive talk. Repetitive talk.
And now you can see my tool still did not remove the bolt.............and now I am f***ked
Harder work 😀
