I have one of the new Colt 1911 Classics series 70, I bought on Feb 21, 2020 and have kept track of every one of the 1,368 rounds I’ve put through it so far. I have 20+ mags, either factory or Wilson Combat both hybrid and wadcutter. Because of where we shoot down by the creek, our average distance is well over 25 yards. When you can shoot rocks the size of a softball over and over again, I couldn’t ask for better accuracy. I feel like I’m cheating when shooting at 7-15yards. Not a single issue or malfunction with the gun. I’ve run many different hollow points and FMJ’s without issue. I would like to try some wadcutters through it. I paid $750 for it which is a steal for what you’re getting but it should come with two mags. You guys are making great 1911’s again and I’m proud to have the pony on my gun. I know 1,368 rounds isn’t a huge amount but it’s enough to know what a gun is about. Thank you.
I currently own 10 1911's. 7 of them are Colts, from WW1, WW2 to current. I have never experienced a failure that was not ammo or mag related. Don't carry one for personal defense but shoot them hard and regularly. Love America and the beloved 1911. Keep 'em coming Colt.
I remember at some of the Bullseye matches in the late 60s-70s, you would see oil running down the hands of the shooters. Many of the guns were very tight.
On my .45ACP I use Wilson Combat Ultima II Universal Oil and on my 9MM 1911 I use the Wilson Combat Ultima II Lite Oil. Both get a through cleaning after a 1,000 rounds. It's not a Glock, put oil on it.

I love my Colt's! Their awesome. It would be a great idea to go back to two mags per weapon.
It would nice if you would have some new videos and have some on older colt models the history of them.

I think the problem is as people are confusing long-term storage verse going to the range or Duty lubrication
Interesting information. Ty.

Have a Q&A once a month. 1st question: When will Colt make a 1911 or 2011 with a red dot cut?
Great thanks
I'm still looking for a Python
Michael Metler I ordered my Python on January 3rd & picked it up on May 19th and yes it was worth the wait.Very well made with an excellent trigger.
Gold bead pat front sights for the 2020 Python... When will this be happening? Colt won't answer, and Brownells doesn't know.
Where tf is my Python step up production
Colt should bring the 1911 back to commiefornia 😭
You should move out of commiefornia to free America.
