That console dust sleeve would only be good to use when you're going away for a long holiday and dont want to go back with dusty console to clean up. Other than that, pretty useless as you could easily just use anything else like a tshirt, towel, etc over it.

Just think about it when you have a lot of consoles in your house and you're not using them all at once. Would you rather protect it from dirt, water spillage and pet hair or see it all dusty and grimy? I guess it depends on how take care of your valuables. For me, I would prefer to have it covered when for example the system is not to be used for a long time and is unplugged. By doing so it will prolong the console's lifespan in the process.
I have dust covers for ALL of my consoles, especially the retro ones I don't play as often. And yeah, I'm also that guy that covers/uncovers my PS4 daily with each use haha. Because the PS4 gets extremely loud when dusty on the inside. All of my friends have gone through 2 last gen consoles at the very least, but my year one PS4 still looks brand new and the fans are hardly noticeable compared to others that have jet airliners in their living room's. I don't know, I just really-really value my consoles and games, and try to preserve them as much as possible. That being said, really interesting idea for a video. I really enjoyed this one!

I think they’re cool for the older consoles that people don’t set up and play everyday but still want to have out. Maybe some people don’t play their ps4 pro often enough and want a nice dust cover for it.

Those dust covers are pretty big with video game collectors. As that company I believe has a load of dust covers for current consoles and even going back to like Dreamcast and probably even further back. So for video game collectors that like to have loads of consoles out at one time and not worry about dust being in vintage systems those dust covers are great not to mention those video game collectors that do TH-cam so to show off certain retro things they need to have loads of retro consoles and ways to capture it setup so dust covers would also be great in that sense since they wouldn't have to unplug things to store retro consoles where dust wouldn't be a big problem, mainly ease of access for a small community the dust covers are for though.
I know this has nothing to do with dust. But given that a lot of the limited edition PS4’s are so glossy the dust cover would be handy for protecting the top plate from scratches when it’s not in use.

My ps3 , even if clean the place every day, gets dusty anyway and when there's humidity, it sticks to the console. Now, even if I live in a very old house that gets inevitably dusty, my ps4 still is pristine with that dust cover.

If you guys like showing off the art i suggest a used old iPad or something and downloading all the box art and mount it on the wall and display the box art covers in a slideshow. It's wonderful and I just leave the thing plugged. It's in the game room and it's hooked up to wifi too so if ever I need a walkthrough I pop it off and check it up real quick.

Basically, if u were go on a vacation without bringing your ps4 the dust cover can be really useful because the ps4 gets dusty if u don't touch it for a while. Or just put it in the ps4 box and not spent 20 dollars for a piece of plastic
It's crazy the price for custom controllers. That thing was obviously hacked together. You can go the ExtremeRate route and customize your own controllers with their kits. I buy the stock white PS5 controllers when they go on sale and mod them however I want. I've added LED'S and a complete reshell, and it's a lot easier and cheaper than you think.
Dust covers arent a bad idea for consoles like the PS2 or PS1 because you have to go up to the console to turn it on. But with the PS4 or PS3 you more than likely are tuning it on with the controller from a distance so it would be more of an inconvenience and you'd problably forget to take it off lol

I've been using nerf darts to protect my PSVR from my glasses for the last 2 years, they work great and I can take them right out when I'm wearing contacts.
I actually use a dust cover that is actually made locally. I use it because I do not play games that often and it prevents dust from going in dmthe disc drive crevice and vents on the top. (xbox)
They're useful even if you're using them, in fact i'd argue they're more useful if you are using the console regularly. If you are not using the console u can just store it in a vacuum sealed box, no dust will get there, but if ur using it it's sitting in ur room, and putting the cover over it while u sleep for 9 hours will eliminate around 25 percent of dust accumulated over time, quite significant.
Never had problems with Etsy. I've bought controller stands, N64 labels and custom artwork for the digital games that never got a physical release I also have a "dust cover" for my Switch dock, so the screen doesn't get scratched when going in.

I have tinnitus so I have to sleep with a fan on to try and block out the ringing sounds I hear constantly from my ears / head. This creates and moves a lot of dust so a dust cover for my consoles is great for me.

The stand for the games, would have been soooooooo much cooler if they were diagonal, so you could see both spine and some of the front of the games, i probably would have bought one for steelbooks if it was.
So you're talking about the dust cover I've seen people use towels to cover their stuff with so there's actually a big market for it I see ones with the logos on it and go for way more than 20 you got that for cheap. Granted they're a little bit thicker material though.

you can remove the printing lines from a 3d printer pretty easilly, most people just dont take the time to do it

I can go months without touching a specific console... But I make sure to wipe them clean every now and again

The stand for the games, would have been soooooooo much cooler if they were diagonal, so you could see both spine and some of the front of the games, i probably would have bought one for steelbooks if it was.
So you're talking about the dust cover I've seen people use towels to cover their stuff with so there's actually a big market for it I see ones with the logos on it and go for way more than 20 you got that for cheap. Granted they're a little bit thicker material though.
