To all the people saying they'd fight to the death to keep this guy off their backs, in reality, you'd do whatever you had to do to stay alive, and that might well mean capitulating. You can NEVER know how you'd respond to a traumatic situation until you've been there yourself. It's too primal. As for the predator, he'll age out in prison, then he'll fall prey to the younger, stronger generation of thugs. Just like animals in the wild.

That's the problem with general population: you expose relatively harmless inmates to more harmful and predatory types. This clip serves as a good argument for capital punishment, or at the very least for more widespread and uniform inmate separation and isolation.

The prison employees need to be fired and hire a staff that can do a good job of stopping and eliminating these situations. Put predators in solitary confinement for a long period of time. 48 to 72 months or longer. Keep certain predators in a cell block with other predators. Makes it difficult for anyone to engage in these kinds of actions.
Turn average looking people into entire weapons, their body is the weapon with 8 striking points at the hands, feet, elbows and knees plus teeth and spit. Take these predators eyes if you ever get them knocked out.
Good luck finding, and convincing COs to actively risk their life, and mental state over some inmates

The corrections officers know what's going on. They are only a step away from being prisoners themselves. The guards think they are different from the criminal, but, they share the same mentality.

Prisons should be graded. Shove the evil bully's together and have a graded system where good behaviour leads to a more relaxed regime with all the human lice weeded out.
Prison must be about reform as well as punishment.

I was lucky during my 6 month term a few years ago. I went to a facility that housed mainly non-violent offenders, but there were a few animals like these "men". However, someone who was with me at the processing unit before being sent to my final location wasn't so lucky. He had the same charge but the place he ended up at was a real hellhole, and he told me about it when I spoke with him after we'd both been released. It made me sick. People need to wake up to this travesty.
It's because the American system of jails is complete mess. Need to be more like Germany where it's rehabilitation, not pointless revenge on inmates
@@konyvnyelv.I don't think the men in America have the mentalities for "rehabilitation", neither do i believe that the system was ever intended to "habitate" anybody. The system's main job is simply to process, whatever happens in between is whatever happens.
Either way the construct is exactly that, a construct. A massive behemoth that has to be maintained every single day, and it wants flesh to feed on.
The problem with the American prison system is that a half ass crook either gets killed or comes out more ruthless and violent. There is no such thing as rehabilitation.
The system was never built to "rehabilitate", simply process and process. Whatever comes out isn't the prison system's problem at all, The Beast swallows and consumes

This is great that they are now teaching how to survive in prison on TV. It should be a multi-year course in school since so many of us end up there.

Some European countries run low stress prisons. They have psychologists and other professionals working to actually rehabilitate the inmate and ready them to re-enter society.
But not America. Our prisons reduce you to basic animalistic behavior. It brings out the worse in people to survive. Recitivism is high because these people don't adjust well when they get out. We need to seriously redesign our correctional system

watched the full programme and it all come to a head for albert when he agreed to meet the mother of the guy he murdered.A stark wake up call to a moment of madness and a sad loss of life which he will always remember!!

I worked at a rehab center we recieved men from prison. Most wanted to go back because they were big men inside and they are nobodys outside..
So moral of the story and of others I seen on youtube. Once you get the hint that someone is being friendly as a way to later extort you. Inflict some PAIN the moment they smile at you.
What I don’t understand is, they know these things been happening for years now. So how are they still having men going through these things in prison….it’s almost like they want it to happen. If you can build a prison to keep people in then you can build a prison to separate people
Start suing these individuals at on the prisons if families would start suing and taking out lawsuits against them they would better separate these inmates according to their crimes

a heard one case about a gang ringleader responsible for doing and/or ordering many physical and sexual assaults, extortion, etc. on other weaker prison inmates. For punishment he wasn't given extra time on his sentence or time in the hole/isolation, loss of priveledges, etc. Instead it was only recommended by a warden-appointed hearing board that he attend a sensitivity training class. That shows you how serious (or not) the wardens and guards are about stopping violence in their penal system.
Nothing like fear to control people.
It works on all levels.

from what I've heard from reliable sources-basically the guards/co's are just there to make sure the inmates don't all walk out the front door of the prison or kill one another very often. Your dignity and personal safety from getting routinely robbed, beat and raped from gangs or tougher inmates is not their problem or not their responsibility. "Tough luck" and "that sucks for you" is their general attitude toward weaker or loner inmates. Darwinism

My question about this is...why does he have so much "alone" time to randomly go walk and meet somebody in an empty cell? That's not how a prison should be run. The prisoners are to be accounted for and located at all times - as well as separated except for in the exercise yard.

The appalling conditions and conduct in prisons in the US is something for which the authorities and prison administration must be held responsible. There are already prisons in existence where those who perpetrate violence are not permitted to socialize with other prisoners. There is no excuse for this but with the authorities, as well as the rest of us for not holding them accountable for this mismanagement.

@EyesOnly100 you're absolutely right-i have known former prison guards that said they turned a blind eye to violence just because they were lazy and didn't want to get involved (more paperwork for them). they all grow cold-heartened and have an attitude of let the chips/cards fall were they may and not care if weak inmates get hurt.

This is why I am in favor of the "jail subway" as they call it. A person is in a cell by themself. There is a small track in front of the door. The guards can either send a shower down there (a buzzer goes off when they have 90 seconds left). There is also another "car" that comes and takes them to solitary rec. The system is a totaly "sally port" in where they cannot get out because the "car" door is always against a wall except when to drop them off somewhere. FIRST PRIORITY = THE STAFF!
