@@PetersenMuseum Love this quick behind the scenes tour. Just one small point, and if I didn’t, I would feel like I’m letting my Porsche soul down. MR. Meyer’s stated that the 911 Carrera RS was fitted with a 3.0L, when I think he meant to say 2.7L engine. The following model was the RSR and that had the 3.0L engine installed. Thank you again for sharing this fabulous array of rolling history. FYI.... I live on Biscayne Bay here in Miami Beach and I have seen similar pictures to the one on your wall, at the Miami History Museum.

Hot Roding as such had not taken off in OZ at that time and my 1937 Ford sedan with no side covers on the 38:Mercury V8 with triple Strongberg 97 carbies, sure drew some attention.

I just admire the collection of Bruce Meyer. I'm old enough and fortunate enough to have seen Bill Harrah's Collection when he hit 2000 cars and acquired the second Bugatti Royal. That will never be repeated. I visited Jay's collection when it wasn't much more than his two Miuras and a bunch of Vincents. Jay has greatly expanded the number, but it is Bruce's collection that I covet. All three are wonderful, genuine enthusiasts... but now that the Harrah Collection has been distributed to the wind... it's Bruce's collection that stirs my heart.

Hi Peter, I'm in league several levels below you. My 1st car '72 Morris Mini, affectionately known now to many as the "Mr Bean car". Followed by 2 Alpha's, a black 1.5 green clover leaf Sprint (with a Knigh Rider red strobe light on the front. 😂). Then I bought a standard 1.5 ti 85bhp engine.. It was ported for track racing, putting out now about 130bhp on the rolling road.. I had it put onto a sud chassy which I found in local breakers yard, got everything welded, bolted and reinforced, put on 4 x alleycat alloys with just about road legal (track tyres) + twin chrome webbers, twin asna exhaust tips, and a beautiful ferrari red respray. I only took it out at weekends when she was hungry. She liked ford XR3i's for breakfast + golf gti's for lunch & dinner 😂😂. With front wheel drive she cornered like on tracks. I bought and sold several cars since, but nothing compares or brings back memories like alpha's that broke down mechanically / rusted / electrically and left me stuck on the side of the road more times than a stubborn mule. 😉😎🌈

Amazing cars & history Bruce. This is jaw dropping stuff for gear heads. They are all works of pure functional car & motorcycle art!😎👍🇨🇦

Being born and raised next to LAX in Westchester, I have always had that SoCal hot rod bug, motorcycles as well. Growing up the Paisano Brothers, I'm not sure which brother, lived only 3 blocks away and kept their dragsters in the garage and we'd get to see the car as they moved it in and out of the trailer. Their daughter Toni was friends of my sisters along with Cindy Halibrand the granddaughter of the famous racing wheel manufacturer Ted Halibrand. My mom knew the Iskendarian family and their shop in Culver City, another friend was the best custom header builder for Headman headers, Bob McGuy, one of my dad's best friends when I was a kid was one of the original Baja racers in the late 1960s and into the mid 70s, pre SCORE years Randy Bowyer. He raced against Parnelli Jones, James Garner, Malcom Smith, Mickey Thompson, Walker Evans and many more.
Anyways, seeing your garage and the vehicles you own was incredible. The history you have is amazing.
    Thanks for sharing
