    Any chance of doing any follow up videos on the GT? Review, thoughts etc? Would love to see more about the front brake and lever. Build quality after riding it awhile.

    Wait, front brake? It comes with a front brake? They don't show a front brake in any of the photos, also there are no mounts on the fork, only a hole?

    • @jimminycricket6618
      @jimminycricket6618  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Myke, yes it comes with a front rim brake and there is mounting for it. It’s a pretty cheap looking piece and the quality of it does not match the rest of the bike. The brake lever does not match either, its a cheaper looking and feeling piece. I think they just threw it in the box in case someone wanted it for safety purposes, similar to the chain guard and reflectors.

    Nice bike .... I like that it takes/comes with rear pegs and disc brake too. I agree with you about the tires, a 2.3” tire would be plenty.
    How much does it weigh?

      Hi agent 88, using a bathroom scale it comes in at 28.9lbs

    The only thing I'm scared about is the tires
    *Are they good for concrete and for whellieng*

    • @jimminycricket6618
      @jimminycricket6618  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Siah - im not a huge fan of the tires. I ride a lot of pavement/asphalt around town so they are ok there. For concrete i can wheelie fine but stopping power is pretty poor with the slick design esp. since I only run the rear brake. Hope that helps. I will be getting a less bulbous tire with some tread once i find something i like.

    What are the tires made for? what type of riding?

    • @jimminycricket6618
      @jimminycricket6618  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From GTs website - Raise up and ride out on our lightweight big volume tire that was purpose designed to roll fast and hold your line when swerving down the street. I use them on the street on very beat up roads and they soak up a lot of the bumps. I dont ride them in the rain.

    Yours looks like the paint has faded terribly straight out of the box. There’s a difference in brightness where the foam was. That doesn’t look right.

    • @jimminycricket6618
      @jimminycricket6618  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dustin, i see what you’re referring to around 2:15. It looks faded, but its just the lighting, the finish is quite nice and hasn’t faded since i keep it covered and out of the sun unless im riding it.

      W D 5’10” I haven’t ridden a 29” bmx though so I don’t have any data points to compare this to. 26” and 24” bmx work fine for me.

    • @firedemon2166

      26 is not close to small for anybody, that’s why most people still ride normal 20inch bmx

      I think I’ll eventually get some lp-5 heritage tires, but these are fine. Everyone who comments on the bike in person loves the fat tire look.
