    There is nothing worse than seeing a new Dslyecxi video in your inbox, and not having the time to watch it.
    Ok, maybe cancer. Or the holocaust. But I draw the line there.

    lololol they didnt even seem to notice dslyecxis brains all over the inside of the vic and his body, that seemingly, slumped out of the hatch, slid down the outside of the vehicle, hit the ground and bounced up and rolled over onto the tracks like his lifeless body was trying to find somewhere warm to take "the long nap" ...what a crazy way to die

      I'd pay to see an animated short demonstrating exactly what you described there..... With jerky Arma-like motion and oblivious crewmates to go with it. It'd just be perfect.

    Good observation around 12 minutes about the crew. These things were also known as "little coffins". But basically alum alloy all around. Can't take more than 7,62 mostly. .50 would rip right through.

    With all these mech actions lately, I'm expecting an Arma3 version of Saving Private Obrek soon. : ] Judging from the switch to spectator after the 36:10 "Reverse, reverse, reverse," I take it that the BMD didn't reverse fast enough? If you saw something coming, it's like the time you were Kevb0"s medic, and told him to move out of the path of the incoming mg rounds that I didn't notice until I watched it several times in rewind. Great eyes!

      Judging by part of the HUD disappearing, I think he was dead before he even gave the reverse order.
      And going by the damage indicators all staying white, I think he was picked out without any damage to the vehicle, even. So basically, HEAT jet to the dome. Such is life in VDV.

    Worst part in arma is that you can't even use the viewports that are in the turrets. It might not sound like much, but it makes a whole load of difference in terms of awareness.
    And instead of beeing able to slightly lift you head out the hatch, you have to go all out on it - parade mode "HI GUYS, SHOOT ME".

      Only a heavy RPG like the short ranged VR or the large and expensive 29 and only to the rear or turret sides. The Abrams is a tank, the BMD is a paper-thin APC that happens to have the gun from a BMP-1.

    • @fikiwow
      @fikiwow 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You sound like 10 years old WOT player. There is bunch of BMD versions with different arnaments. And if you want to talk about their armor, just think that they are not frontal heavy APC like BMP-3 or Bradly, BMD series are made for VDV airborne units for fast interventions and operations in enemy rear, so think what can happen while all your armor is on front fighting and a mechanised division armed with fast moving hevy armed BMDs show up from no where in your rear...

    • @hvymtal8566
      @hvymtal8566 8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Why are you trying to dismiss my point my painting me as a squeaker when you have no justification, proof, or reason? As for armor, the BMP-3 and Bradley have significantly greater armor than the early BMDs. Only the Turret front and sides and the front plate can withstand even .50 AP, whereas the Bradley in stock form can withstand 14.5 AP to all sides. And as for the relative immobility of tanks, not so much when we are talking about modern MBTs with huge turbodiesels or gas turbines, offering superb acceleration and respectable maneuverability even in such a heavy tank as the Abrams. And your mechanized tactics are not exclusive to the BMD, while it would be difficult at best to airdrop them even close to the front when the planes are going to be threatened by Patriots, Rapiers, and Rolands. And then you have to consider that such a strategic flank would rely on the BMDs actually making a breakthrough, which with early BMDs is not particularly likely when an AT4 can rape it (as you so eloquently put it). While that is also not exclusive to the BMD, it will weigh heavily on the tactics employed and with an armored reserve ready to respond (as any competent commander should have at least a semblance of), they won't stand a chance. The only thing they offer greater than any contemporary is the ability to be dropped out of a plane. Very useful, but as a piece of hardware it makes a lot of compromises to achieve that which need to be considered.

    "You're going to die in a little cramped piece of shit"...
    Welcome to the wonderful world of Russian-built armor! That phrase applies to damn near every armored vehicle that ever rolled out of a Russian factory, because "crew comfort" and "ergonomics" are terms that essentially do not exist in dictionaries used by their design bureaus. The one modern exception is the BTR series. A BTR is big, less cramped pieces of shit that substitutes "small target" for troop carrying capacity.
    To be a Russian armored crewman, you don't have to be a midget contortionist. But it helps. ;)

    • @f556784q3
      @f556784q3 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah yes one of the most powerful militaries in the world with its "piece of shit" vehicles, to bad they're still easily capable of killing what they need to when they have to huh?

    • @larryfontenot9018
      @larryfontenot9018 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never said they couldn't kill people. But their crews are included in that. When Russian made vehicles are taken out, you sometimes see the commander escape... but you almost never anyone else get out. Russians design their vehicles to work. Period. Crew comfort, safety, and the ability to get into and out of the vehicle in a hurry are afterthoughts.
      Plus, I've ridden in Russian tanks and driven a BTR60. Have you? When you sit in the driver's seat of a vehicle, can't adjust the seat very much, and then feel control linkages moving under a rubber mat beneath your feet, you too will realize you're in a piece of shit.

    • @f556784q3
      @f556784q3 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I have ridden in Russian vehicles actually, they're not comfortable and they're not crew friendly, but they do their fucking job which is more than you can say for a lot of things these days.

    Does ShacTac not implement a limited-use "repair kit" for vehicle crews? I think it could be useful to have something that could repair tracks/wheels and engines back to a just-useable condition given some time of course

    • @SuperMegaCyrus
      @SuperMegaCyrus 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Depends on the mission, for BTRs and wheeled vehicles there is usually the ability to repair the tires. Anything else is up to the missions intent. If the Vehicles are meant to hang around and are key to success, limited repair/rearm facilities (typically run by a logistics squad) will be available

  • @KioneWinterHowl
    @KioneWinterHowl 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Do you find it more beneficial to have the BMD as apart of a squad or as a separate detachment of the squad.

    • @ARamWhoWrangles
      @ARamWhoWrangles 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be more mission specific. For example if a squad is using the vehicle as transport to move around the AO it would be better for them to be working closely with each other. But if the vehicle is being used more for fire support it would likely be better for it to be detached. Granted this is all based off my knowledge and me generalizing the situation.

    • @KioneWinterHowl
      @KioneWinterHowl 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well thing is, if you have it set for only one thing then you aren't using the full potential of the machine.

    • @ARamWhoWrangles
      @ARamWhoWrangles 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unum Heros Well that's what I meant when I said I was generalizing the situation. But it would have a primary objective in any setting which is what I was saying. There's lots of other factors that come into play for what it would be doing or how it would be used. It could be used to transport troops and then after have to travel to a whole other area and be used for another purpose. Regardless my point is that its heavily situational what it would be used for and in what situation.

    • @TheGrandslam89
      @TheGrandslam89 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely should be working close together with the infantry acting as scouts and directing it forward to attack targets and protect it from anti-tank teams. Idea is for this thing not to be getting shot at by anything more than small arms fire and be directed into firing positions that don't overly expose it.
      Armor is literally there to protect from stray fire and infantry taking pot shots at it if its on the move before they take out an anti-tank weapon.

    All russian vehicles are death traps from the BTR-60 to the T-90 they all are cheaply produced and fitted cheaply with reactive explosive armor platting ,which from ive seen in syria does not work very well at all...and no REA or counter measure system will help against a SABOT round...And not to long ago on live leaks there was a video floating around of a T-90 being struck with a TOW missile ,the electronic ATGM defense system equipped on the tank did not work at all and the TOW round killed the vehicle leaving the crew to escape in a horrible panic...atleast u can say the crew survived but then again the video cuts off with the sound of small arms fire so maybe the didnt escape,u cant really know since russia sweeps there own men who fight and die for there country under the rug...anyway good vid man!!

    • @milehighkush
      @milehighkush 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Risto Mladich ok????Its common knowledge russian military vehicles are cheaply made unless you wanna speak about the armata series than no its not cheap its expensive...and links are available to the video i speak of... i can link you one lol...i speak of common knowledge even the men who operate these vehicles know the chance of survival they have...but i expect you think i am a American who knows nothing of what i speak about...Well this may be a video game comment section, but i have spoke and shook hands with men, real men that have fought russian backed separatists in eastern Ukraine and have seen russian armor killed in combat and have been around the atgm positions that killed those russian mbt's and they were kind enough to share some of those stories with me... i'm very educated on what i speak of i'm not the common fool who opens his mouth or types without thinking..lmao... so don't call me ignorant i'm confident i'm much more educated and traveled then you and much more knowledgeable in military equipment of both russia and nato nations but i mean no disrespect...

      Risto Mladich Man propaganda huh?? LMFAO XD ok lets educate you a bit more The reason NATO nations still use soviet era equipment is becuase its cheap and cheap to maintain the same reason anyone buys russian equipment its cheap...the reason poland owns such a diverse arsenal is becuase in the early years they used primarily soviet gear and constructed there military in a soviet fashion after the 80s they started to reform there military and started to build there own equipment and purchase western equipment by the early 2000s they became a diverse fighting force now owning a highly deadly mix of cheap and tough russian tech and expensive and advanced western tech they now are a qrf type of military force being able to use a deeply diverse set of systems and gear to defend against you guessed it a russian invasion...and for the middle east well if you knew anything about the former USSR you would know that after it collapsed it had a major debt to pay off...how did they pay off so much so fast well they sold there now disbanded and unorganized military, from tanks to ak's from grenades to high explosive artillery shells and they sold it to any country that wanted some including north korea and nations in africa at the time committing genocide to private arms dealers who sold the rest of it to anyone else...Thats why there is a AK in the most remote parts of the planet and why u can find dead russin t -70 models all over the middle east russia armed the world to pay there debt and hey guess what still are paying it...On to south korea now...The Russian Federation began supplying tanks, combat vehicles, military helicopters, and other defense equipment to the South Korean armed forces as partial payment of the $2 billion debt to the ROK that Russia inherited from the former Soviet Union thats why the ROK have russian equipment and you know whats funny russia actually fucked up becuase those vehicles could be used in the russian military and even sold to the separatists in eastern ukraine or gifted since half the tanks they own just popped up out of nowhere one day lol so russia decided to give south korea a proposal and barter with them a exchange of the vehicles for cash and south korea had no problem with that but then russia fucked up again there almost non existent navy ran into a problem they couldnt move the 70 ifvs and over 80 mbts becuase of logistal headaches lol what kind of talk is that you are a military but cant move equipment??WTF so the russian government decided to pay south korea money and not buy back any of the gear they sold to the ROK..Not propaganda bro real life shit the russian government openly admits themselves...And for the nazi comment i see that russian state ran propaganda is working well...let me guess you seen the azov and said omg there nazis lol YOU HAVE NO FUCKING CLUE LITTLE BOY LMFAO keep your knowledge level where its obviously at and keep watching Dyslecxi cus thats as close as you will ever come to being anywhere near the military lol ima go roll me a phat ass blunt and read educate my mind and open my thoughts up you stay right here watching youtube k :) have a nice day little kid!XD god damn is your knowledge of history and world events sad...so fuckin sad lol
