This game is a memorable game. My son remembers it. Whenever we talk about gaming. Though only played once at a Friday night game night at a restaurant. He remembers that experience and brought him into gaming.
I like the new player boards. It may just be the camera and will be different in person, but the time you must spend being in the trees could be tricky to spot. I really like the Inn ex., most games that add cards that give insane bonuses are always fun. Thanks for the playthrough!
I’ve played the base game once. Remember it fondly. I traveled a lot and had a huge win. Bought the used copy from the local game cafe. Hope to table it soon.
I’ve never been a fan of minimalist, but this is something else. Seems like they even extracted the actions from the art they associate with. No, I am not a fan of this. Id actually be curious as to what fan consensus is on this.
@@jasonpreder5173 Village is in my top 10, and I'm often reading bgg about it (subscribed) and I've never read anything about someone liking this new art. I have base game, Port and Inn, and while I would love to have that small stuff added besides what I have, I will stick with what I have.
HA that final card where he got 7 points in scoring is WRONG. I thought it was 7 points too if you had 4 or more brown but what that card means is you get points if you have 1 - 3 brown cubes, if you have more than 3 cubes, you get 0 points! In the end, Yellow guy wins! But hey, it happens.
I agree completely about always giving players choice. I add a draft or choice mechanic to games whenever you have to deal something. Drives me nuts when rules are just deal a random card and that's your goal, or that's what you start with. No thanks. Stonemaier is horrible for this.

Wow that’s an awesome story!

I'm in the minority here, I really love the new artstyle :) Thanks for the playthrough !
I like it too

That’s great!
Always be ready to sell something at the market...very critical.
50:36 Speaking of cheating....David did not kill off a family member at the end of his turn like he said he was going to...
We were wondering! We were going to rewatch to find out!
47:13 Ryan did spend 3 time visiting the Inn during round 1 and was not cheating at this time stamp going back one time.
That we could tell, but it should have been 2. 1 to place a guy and 1 to use the action I think
wainwright IS a wagon builder...lol!
Such a great game! I haven’t tried the second expansion yet, but we always play with the first expansion.
The big box has a brand new expansion too
@@meeple oh I missed that aspect completely! I’ll have to take a look.
This looks soo much nicer than the old version. FOMO is setting in. I "hate" you guys! 🤗
I like the new look too
Omg, what did they do to this game? The art is soooo….adolescent.
Thank god I have the originals.
It's amazing how hot or cold people are on this art. I personally really like the new look by comparison. Different strokes, as they say. 😁
@@meepleyou're the first I've heard that likes this new art. 😆

Mistakes happen for sure, but I’m thrilled to realize I actually won! 🤣

Art on the original was fantastic. They really ruined it. Excellent game, though.
It’s subjective, but art aside I do like the way they reorganized the board.
