Josh Brolin absolutely stole the show!
That he did!!
It was inevitable
He was ...... Inevitable.......
Josh Brolin was extremely well cast as Agent K. He did an excellent job of portraying the much younger agent than anyone else could possibly have done.
This was the last good Will Smith movie
The "my daddy is a hero" scene gets me just as much as Forrest's "is he like me or"....
ugh, that scene in forrest gump gets me EVERY time
IMO, this is the best movie of the franchise. The second movie felt like it never really had a reason for the story to exist, but this one the story feels essential.
I agree! I like this one so much
Overall didn't love it but... the ending is possibly the best of any movie ending ever. For sure top 5. Sad the rest of the movie was only okay.
Josh Brolins voice crack when talking to little J, gets me everytime! Great performance from Mr. Brolin
I personally love men in black 3, I love how it comes full circle with J's dad in the end.
And the soundtrack with Empire State of mind, an absolute Banger of a song.
I personally just saw it on video, rented it on Blu Ray I think and absolutely loved it.
The time travel aspect I also thought was done really really well.
Whoever came up with that K and J tie in from the third act that K has been J's father figure since the beginning is my screenwriting hero. Because they had no idea after the first or second films they were doing this either and the twist was never planned. From my research they didn't have it planned for this movie or the original shooting script. But halfway through filming, they shut production down at great expense, to rewrite the third act which was the K and J connection all along climax. In a first for Hollywood, nobody has taken credit for where the idea came from or who had the light bulb moment. But, its the ultimate third film wrap up to a trilogy with a whopper of a reveal at the end of all time and nobody ever talks about it.
This was a surprisingly good third movie, especially for coming out 10 years after the 2nd one. The ending gets to me every time!
Josh Brolin channeled his inner Tommy Lee Jones. This was a very interesting wrap up to the series.
34:55 - In the initial timeline, he didn't have the knowledge. Then, from the moment he met little J and put the pieces together he had it. So in the diner at the end, he ALREADY knew it 'cause it was his (new) past. Get it?
Boris the Animal is such a great villain, and Griffin might be my favorite side character in the whole franchise (yes, even above Frank the Pug, but not by much). The twist of Andy Warhol being an undercover MIB agent rather than an alien was also pretty hilarious and the time jump being a literal jump was creative, but I so wish we'd seen more of Emma Thompson.
This is my favorite of the trilogy. It gave me all the feels.
I think that when Griffin touched J's dad he showed him how the Earth will be saved and he showed him that J is his son. The way J's father looks at J when they are in Florida is the look of a proud father.
3:45 - Shanelle watching a movie with blood, guts, and gore: "YeAhhhHHHhhh!"
Shanelle watching french kissing in a movie: "EwwwWWWwww!!!"
😂
you know she loves blood, gutes, gore and hates kissing XD
THATS our girl shanelle, the one and only lol. #shanellericcio #mib3reaction2024
@@jebVlogs556 IKR! 😂
I totally thought this too 😂
I love how this movie comes full circle and explains why K was so adamant and eager to get J into the MIB....
So if I took the ending right Agent K has been watching over J his whole life making sure he's ok like a father and that's why he wanted him to join MIB and was Vouching for him in the first movie ? He couldn't have been there physically because J didn't remember anything about him. but he could've look at him like he was looking at his wife on the computer in the first movie. And made sure they didn't need money.
When this first came out, I was worried that it may be getting old and they're going to be beating a dead alien. So glad it was still had that same formula of the first two but yet was able to expand on it. When it comes to MIB, I always look in the credits for Rick Baker doing the make-up and Bo Welch doing the production design. Now there is "MIB: International" with Chris Hemsworth and Tess Thompson, you be the judge of it.
i liked it, just saying,
I loved the fourth as much as I loved the others.
MIB 3 was released in both 3D and standard formats in theatres. It was filmed with digital 3D cameras
This is one of those that I have been waiting for. And you are absolutely correct, Shanelle. It is really fun to watch movies with you!!!
yay i'm sorry i took so long to get to it!!
5:38 Rip Torn (Zed) is in one of those two alien suits on the right of the screen.
Blob fish don't really look like that in their normal habitat, the high-pressure depths of the ocean. But bringing them up to surface pressure is devastating to their body tissues, casing it to bloat and distort.
That's horrifying, poor things!
I love this movie for the time travel element. They did it really well. The villain was played by Jemaine Clement. He is great in the film Gentlemen Broncos. I highly recommend watching.
also really good in Moana
@@P-Mouse True. He was also phenomenal in What We Do In The Shadows alongside Taika Waititi.
He's also in the 4th most popular folk comedy duo from New Zealand
@@jfryk Yes! Flight of the Concords! I nearly had forgotten.
No arguments here! They DID do it pretty well. Also, thanks for the movie recommendation. 😉
The first two were so fun. This one has a real story behind it and it’s one of my top movies ever. Thanks Shanelle. You’re the first reactor to do this gem.
I always love when a sequel or TV episode changes how you look at what previously occurred, so I choose to believe that K knew about J's dad all along. It gives the first film a different flavor.
In 1969 at moment Forrest Gump in recovery getting award hero medal
Boris is portrayed by Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords, and
What we do in the Shadows,
“James, if you look right here, I will tell you the only thing you will ever need to know. Your daddy is a *hero* “
That part always gets me
26:10 - C3-P0! Oh mah gawd, you're killing me shan! 🤣🤣🤣
5:45 - I mean, this IS K we're talking about. 😂
One of my favorite franchises, including International! The time travel makes sense cause in the comics, Agent K and J were going up against zombies, ghosts, demons, etc. Josh Brolin killed this role! Great vid and stay blessed! 🙌🏽🙏🏽❤️
This is by far my favorite of the three. It took me a few times watching it to figure out that what was shown to J's father was that J was his son.
MIB3 is IMO the best one in the series all because of the moment at the end with the twist. That actually made my jaw drop in theaters. I love when movies go back to the beginning to subvert the past and everything we knew.
Maybe that's why The Colonel said "I wish I could" when K asked "we could use a man like you", because not only Griff showed him who's J (his own son) and K, but also his death.
Who would've thought Thanos could play Agent K so well.
I have a
Bible my Mom and Dad gave me as a kid and the date written in the front is 1969 when I was in grade school,Excellent RSV , thanks
The Galaxy Defenders are back......
IN TIME!!!!!!😎😎
Loved this movie when it came out. Such a fun way to revisit the franchise.
I really don't understand why people say MiB: International is bad. I thought it was really fun as well.
This film was in 3D and for me it was one of the BEST 3D experiences in the theater
28:00 - "'Cause reasons!" 🤭
Where was I when I first watched this? On the sofa in front of the TV. Like so many others, I watched it on cable. Not much to say other than I had pretty much the same reactions as you, sans the obvious questions ("Is that the Chrysler building?" SERIOUSLY Shanelle?) So glad you finally got to this one! 😊
Also: love how your nails match the sweatshirt, sad you fazed out the hair dye. It look really good on you, really!
Shanelle, I thought the same thing with Brolin’s portrayal. He was sooo good, I wondered if they cgi aged TLJ. So it was fun watching you struggle with who he was, because I had to look it up too. I really like this one as well, above #2. Btw, I was noticing how great your sound mix is. Seems like you are using compression and EQ on your voice. Nice job to whomever’s responsible.
IMO Best MIB. Plotting's really clever, Boris is a riot, and it's got real heart,
Awesome reaction of my favorite Men In Black movie!!!!😊😊😊😊
First MIB movie to bring a tear to my eye. Watching your reaction as we speak.
I'd always say the first was so great, because so groundbreaking and cool. But this one is my favorite of the three. The time travel aspect, Josh Brolin just killing it, and that emotional ending brings me to tears every time.
THIS is actually my favourite MIB film. Josh Brolin killed as as a younger K, and the way this story was written, to come all the way full circle to the original... Genius. Thanks for reacting to it.
I've seen this before, but it's been a while. I really enjoyed watching you enjoy watching it!
Yay! Finally! subscribed!!
I am here from your Deadpool 2 reaction that I seen and absolutely loved it and totally felt your reaction. It’s about how I would’ve reacted. I also love this movie and its hard to believe but not many people react to MIB 3. just wanted to say hi and let you know you got a new subscriber right now 🎉❤😊
God I love this movie. From Emma Thompson and Alice Eve as O, to Josh Brolin as younger K. To the emotional scenes between J and K. To that end. It's all amazing
Great to see a movie reaction on my day off. Much love Chanelle
Excellent movie and moving! Thanks
4:29 - What do you want? He's the villain!
K was Josh Brolin. You most likely know him as the older brother in Goonies. What an amazing performance he put on.
I personally feel this one is better than the 2nd one as well, and was pleasantly surprised when I finally got around to watching it. I saw the first two in the theaters but i skipped this one till either I streamed it or rented it on disc to watch, i cant recall. I thought Brolin was genius at imitating Tommy Lee Jones. At TLJ age it really wasn't possible to really have a convincing action story like the other movies so it was a great plot device to get around that. By the way got to give love to Alice Eve for being the past version of Agent O.
This one was always cool to me, because it mentions my hometown of Chicopee, MA in dialogue and I have never heard it in anything else. It was also just a lot better than the second one.
10:14 that picture of the dog 😢😢
37:39 - The light TOO? Day-am Sannelle, you in an aggressive mood today! 😂
I still love this so much. Also go full body chills at that ending.
The ending to this movie made me weep when I saw it as a child. It's such a beautiful story.
I love this 1 just as much as the first. The reveal at the end of why J was chosen in the first one is just epic
You probably know that there was also another movie called Men in Black: International. It had basically a different cast, and was quite different from the trilogy.
If nobody else has suggested it, I recommend that you watch it it your free time. No need to make a reaction video. I feel the movie is interesting enough to warrant at least a viewing.
22:22 Key Lime Pie
love how hard this one hits for no reason lol!
Oh! I love this one!
15:48 - Aw man, you cut out the "DiSantis" laugh! I wanted to get your reaction to that! 🤣
9:36 - Me too. 😊
Ha, beat TH-cam to the punch! Hey Shanelle. What's up? I see you finally got to this one. Took 'ya long enough! No matter, you ticked off another one off your list and we get another shanaction. Win-win in my book. 😁
I think most people would agree that this is better than the second one. I love that it gave us more background on both characters and especially the whole part with J's father.
Really liked this movie. Glad to see you react to it.
You are a real joy to watch and listen to.. thank you!
Wow, thank you!
The ending of that movie is so much more emotional than you'd expected from an MIB movie. It hits me right in the feels. And Josh Brolin was fantastic.
26:49 - True, just look at Ennio Morricone's work on The Untouchables! (
I freaking loooveee this movie! Super underrated
My fav of all of them and glad you did it!!!!!
17:00 - Yeah, knowing your taste in movies, that checks out. 😊
I like how this one changes the other movies, especially the first one when Kay recruits Jay. Rewatch the first one with this third one in mind and you’ll see what I mean
Great reaction as always. 😊
THIS is how I find out Shea Stadium was demolished?
Unexpectedly a little devastated. Went there a few times with my grandpa many many years ago 😢
23:14 - True. That's why I keep telling you to not beat yourself up for "stalling" before filming or any other task. If you're not in the zone just distract yourself for a moment. It's the way of the artist. 😊
20:28 - Yes. As Yoda would say: "you will be...you will be!" 😉
Where was I in 2012 when this came out?
The theatre.
I enjoyed it, and was very impressed by Brolin, but this was the year of the first Avengers, which overshadowed everything.
Josh Brolin who also played in the 1985 movie the Goonies as Brandon
The biggest shock to me is that Griffin, the sweet alien, will go on to play the evil Richard Sackler in Dopesick.
I saw this in the theaters back in 2012. Have always had a soft spot for it, largely because of Josh Brolin as young Agent K. Still one of the best casting decisions in film history as far as I’m concerned.
Unfortunately I don’t remember if it was 3D or not, but it wouldn’t surprise me given the year it released.
8:47 - Well he's not wrong! 😂
35:22 - Hey, don't feel bad. At least you clocked it as being in the 100's of millions due to the decade. 😊
I definitely wasn't yelling "It's freaking Josh Brolin!" at my computer screen. Didn't happen.
8:40 - To be fair, they WERE hinting strongly at that. In order of likelihood it was Z, K, and only then some agent we haven't been introduced to yet.
I cry EVERY time... Great reaction...
I loved your reaction I guess you can say that was one of my favorite moments in history
10:16 - Holy shit, I never clocked the picture of Frank there and I've seen this movie a ton of times! 🤯
15:55 - Goddamit! ANOTHER frank easter-egg I missed! 😫
Love this film!
Over the years this has become my favorite of the three. Yes, I know there were films subsequent to this one, but they don't count.
Yes I did watch it in 2012, I watched it at the cinema twice. Once with a friend and Once with a girl, and yes I teared up both times when I watched the scene on the beach when it was revealed who the Colonel was. I have watched MIB III 7 or 8 time since and have enjoyed it every time. 👍👍👍👍👍
21:22 - Yeah, I know! 😂
13:48 - OK, NOW you're up to speed! 😁
6:53 That Blob-fish is real life fish!! :)
15:13 - See? Told 'ya it'd be fun! Well, not that I think abut it, maybe the word I was looking for was 'exhilarating'. 😁
14:29 - Upon 1st viewing I asked myself the same thing. You'll LOVE the reason! It's a lot of fun, trust me! 😃
