You flatter me, dude. I have lots of ideas, some not so good, but most I do my best to make work. As a fan of franchises like Terminator, I like to think I know how to tell a good story within this franchise. What Ifs can be a bit tricky but I do my best.
@@TechCom101 9 months late. That's the most problematic about what ifs as someone who knows the lore, but not the one who built the lore and world. With what you have, it made the most sense. I would've figured that the t800 would've been destroyed like in the movie. To spin it as another military asset and to study the technology, minus the skynet AI. It would've been beneficial to military and civilian groups. Like u stated best ways to win fights with little no lost of life, and how to better peace/treaty agreements. Civilians could get something like an exoskeleton power loader suit, like in aliens. Prosthetics, or a full body exoskeleton hooked up to the brainwaves and process. Like from 1 episode from star trek ds9 or rodes from marvel civil war movie. If somehow dark fate did happen with another t800 series trying to kill john bob could stop it, and with the johns help reprogram the new model, or salvage it for parts, etc.

Just listening to the back and forth between Sarah and John I can feel the emotion that scene would have had if filmed. It's like the one earlier where Sarah chastised John for rescuing her only this time Sarah would be the one crying just not from hurt but pride in how John had essentially taken the first step in becoming the great leader he was destined to be.
Other day thought imagine during John’s call home if the terminator said in John’s voice I’m on my way home leaving the T1000 there waiting while terminator and John get Sarah out of the hospital. With the cyberdyne stuff they don’t mention other employees that may of had their own notes. Said Dyson most responsible but not the only guy. Be like it was mentioned in T3 it was just postponed.
I wish we could've gotten this version of terminator 2 because it sounds so good hearing you mention it. I would've watched this version of T2 over terminator dark fate.
Excellent job! I love how these What If......? Videos are about how the alternate timelines are familiar yet different. The editing is superb, great use of visuals from toys, games, comics, and stills from the film! (Even the none-Terminator Film Stills used.). I dig novel-style narration and story-telling. As well as the line referencing how even SkyNet fearing the T-1000. Another awesome video my friend.

I could've imagined uncle bob would've still wanted to destroy himself if he'd sustained all the damage you described in your version of the fight, since he wouldn't have been able to pass for a human anymore after losing his eye and his other arm in the big cog mechanism! Plus, he would've had a much harder time defending himself from police/military after suffering that kind of damage, even if his main power core was still intact!!!!
Here's an idea, what if the t-1000 had been just a second too slow to grab onto that helicopter to chase uncle bob, Sarah and John away from the building????? Chances are, the three of them might've been able to keep on running away from the t-1000 forever after that, whilst still stopping the war!!!!! Uncle bob hadn't yet been very badly damaged by that point, and his facial wounds would've healed, so he could've continued to pass as a human! Knowing what uncle bob was capable of, they could've caught a boat or something to another country to shake the t-1000 off completely, so he'd have no idea where to look for them!!!!!
Perhaps, but the T-1000 is arguably more persistent than the T-800 so he's catch up eventually. The novel states that the difference between the two is the T-800 in both T1 and T2 are blunt instruments while the T-1000 played the long game and likely would even wait until the Future War to locate Connor and kill him on the Battlefield before the final battle.

The rationale for it was that skynet couldn't possibly fully control the t-1000, and so if it'd been kept in the future, as opposed to being sent into the past for assassination purposes, skynet was scared of the possibility of the t-1000 potentially going rogue if it'd stayed in 2029!!!! After all, it would've been near enough unstoppable to skynet if it had turned against its creator, being able to take the form of t-800s within the skynet headquarters, as it went about its stealthy mission to try and destroy skynet itself, if it turned completely against it!

Simply put first engagement or whenever TX uses it's plasma cannon T-800 is terminated and John and Sarah are as well depending if John ever got to the Hospital. The only reason the T-850 survived the blast in T3 was due to being a a updated Model a T-850, Since T-850s where built to resist plasma weaponry being used by the Human resistance forces.

No, that's what Back to the Future did, it works differently in Terminator. The Future is technically the Past because when someone goes back in time to a previous time period, their presence creates a new history different from the old one.

That's true, narratively speaking, Skynet and John Connor NEED to exist, which is why in an original timeline where time-travel did not meddle with history John was conceived by Sarah with some random guy in 1984 and Cyberdyne created Skynet even without the Terminator remains and by some miracle John survived Judgment Day without any warning of the future and CHOSE to lead humanity to save it.
Always thought that Cyberdyne systems building was so beautiful. It look like it had just been created for the film.

In my version, he didn't lost his eye or arm. That's shadow. He took SOME damage but not to the extent he did in the movie.
