Is it just me or is a plasma table the ultimate man toy? I want one so bad
It's definitely not just you, we still get excited every time we have a chance to use it haha - Walker
Water jet FTW
You should have your finger nail punctured to let out the bad blood and relieve the pressure, stop it throbbing
I have no use for one and I want it lol.
I suppose if it's all you can afford.
When you get hammer finger:take a dremil and a small diamond grinder bit and put a small relief slit in the middle of the white cuticle near the back of the nail.but not close to the skin.it will bleed a lot so have a bunch of bandaids.but you can feel relief in hours 😁
Wow she's a beautiful thing. Bigger? Hopefully you guys get great use out of it for many years to come my friends. Can't wait to see more videos soon. Can't wait to see what you create next. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Forge On. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Forge lit. Keep Making. God bless.
Congrats on a new studio tool
Wow amazing machine! Can't wait to see what's next!!
I smashed my thumb once and had a large amount of blood under the nail. An ER doctor heated a paper clip and used it to melt through the nail. I could not believe how much better my finger felt after that.
So I almost included a clip of Tay using a small drill bit to release the pressure under the nail, but that might have gotten us flagged / demonetized! Hahaha - Walker
Very cool love the remote. Watching your cnc videos made up my mind to get 1 of my own and have been chuffed to bits with it.lots to learn but well worth it. Keep up the great work guys👍👍
Been watching your vids for a while now. I know for a fact that at least one machine was purchased due to them.
I advised a friend who was about to pull the trigger on a lesser quality, similarly priced competitor and pointed him to your vids and Shop Sabre. It only took initial looking to show SS was a much superior machine in every way. He even got the rotary for it and is making $ with a great tool because of your vids. (and he also subbed to your channel lol)
Congrats on the new table. I look forward to what's coming next!
Thanks for sharing.
Nice video. It really shows how much enjoyment you have doing everyday things. It's great seeing you guys work together and keeping it fun. Thanks for that.
Congrats on the new Plasma cutter
Congratulations it is awesome
I suspect that it was a little frustrating not having your new super deluxe SS Plasma Table but this video shows the excitement of the plan finally coming to fruition. Three cheers for Lift Arc!
Congratulations, it is fine machine. Wish you a lot of good cuts.
Those hybrid motors are stepper motors with encoders. It makes them far more accurate and technically servos but a lot cheaper than something like a Yaskawa servo. Now I’m about 10 minutes in and I see you have the exact same motors I bought on Amazon last week for $129 with driver. Stepper motors with incremental encoders to improve accuracy.
Congrats, nice result for a first cut!
Love your channel. Super cool machine.
It’s about time this came. Congratulations.
Very cool upgrade
Very nice! Like a kid at Christmas! Congrats
Congratulations Tay on your second ShopSabre. Keep up the great work. Let me know when you need another one.
I am building my own CNC and ordered a 45xp cutter with CPC. Once it's built I will make another CNC machine using that one. I know everyone will say you all the time in the world. I actually do.
Those marker attachments are also good for marking bend lines.
Awesome build man
Christmas is here! The new money maker is in! Soon ready to use the shop saber fire in the shop to cut it all!
Great video, can’t wait for more videos.
Great machine. So kool to see how technology is helping metal fabrication. Pls tell me those aren’t little blocks of wood under the leveling bolts. Sure looks like wood 🤷🏻♂️
I know you said its temporary but if the PC is gonna be stationed in the immediate vicinity of the cutting board table like that, then you should definitely have the PC in a closed cabinet with filtered intake/exhaust fans. Keeping as much dust as possible out of the computer will extend its lifespan and keep it running cooler.
a finger smash like that only calls for one thing and thats to be drained! I usually take the smallest drill bit i can find and BY HAND drill through the nail and release all that pressure. Cheers hope the plasma cutter treats yall well!
For future reference. Use your smallest drill bit and put a hole, by hand, through your fingernail next time you smash it. There is no pain and it immediately relieves most of the pain. Blood shoots everywhere though, which is always a good time.
Plasma table looks great. Pook a hole
Your finger nail to relve pressure under your nail
0:20 - Vasovagal syncope - I've had that all my life, reaction / injury / fear / etc based. First time I got it, in middle school, we had these HEAVY ass desk chairs, when I was putting it upside down on my desk dropped the full weight on one finger, it started throbbing and turned purple immediately lol
Love this channel, you guys are very easy to like. Question, not a criticism... Does the manufacturer have any warnings about running the High power torch line in the same cable chain as the low voltage motor and signal wires?
So excited to see your new ShopSabre up and running in the Lift Arc Studios shop! We hope you've been getting a kick out of the new features. 🔥 As always, thanks for supporting the SabreNation. 😎
yee haw!!! very nice piece of kit yall
cool tool, just a suggestion how about sticking the antenna to the under side of the table out of the way from the other children in the shop that may break it, only kidding, I thing you are all great at what you do. However, if the signal still works cannot think of a safer place. Loving your work as always.
very cool machine. Playing around with Langmuire pro table myself but that table is awesome!! hope some of those pro features trickle down to the semi-pros...hahaha
I have a Langmuir crossfire pro and I want to upgrade. I was going to upgrade to their XR, but you’re making me want to wait until I have the money for a shop Sabre. They seem like badass tables
Sick! I got the sidekick 8 with pretty much all the same options minus the wireless controller. Now i want it 😂
Protip, when moving machinery just drop some cardboard on the forks. This will prevent the steel on steel sliding problem and protect any paint. The shipping blankets can stay in the box.
Also refrain from hammering your fingers every chance you get. 😊
The delivery time is not joke. The truck hauling my new Shop Sabre did not show up until 11:00pm...LOL, but I was glad to get it!
Dude you have to poke a hole in the nail when you do something like that to your finger. It will feel better instantly. Either a small drill bit or heat a needle up and it will melt through your nail but look out blood will squirt out. Awesome new table
I’m feeling so much regret right now. I was in Roanoke last week and drove past the shop but didn’t stop because it was pouring down rain. I wanted to get a part custom fabbed for my car ever since I saw the custom brace you made for the MR2
SIIIIICK!!!! So jealous you've got a nice new machine :) Mine is almost complete (home rebuild of a home build with CandCNC controls) We'll see how bad the learning curve is??
You should be able to do 1.5 inches with that 105 I pierce and cut 1.25 inches with my powermax 85 on single phase power.
She's a beaut Clark, a real beaut! BTW the flexible cable chase is called drag chain.
Cool
It will be interesting to see how putting the torch cable in the drag chain works out. The drag chain put a lot of bending stress on the cable. I usually use super-flex cable for that. The torch cable has wires and air running through it. It looks nice, but maybe not the best move?
even worse... it wears the hell out of shit from rubbing. People dont think of that stuff though. There is a reason they sell chain rated cables
I run a 4x8 tracker pro series which has been good. Cut alot of heavier plate 3/8" to 1". How do you like the water table? is it as messy as they say?
That SterlingCool-PlasmaCut fluid is really top notch. Hope that green stuff works good.
I use that stuff for years. The new machine came with plasma defense so we're going to try it out again
@@LiftArcStudios I got a stv cnc machine and their fluid is gross af creatures start emerging form the yuck.
Does the Shop Sabre have sheet/plate alignment with the laser pointer? Does the layout software have a skeleton cutup feature for easier removal of scrap? Just curious. Cheers!
Hi Mike, which plasma unit is better for langmuir CNC......Arcfony or Hynade, any thought about if you only had a choice of one?
Thanks Pete
Am I wrong, but I only just level my CNC's I don't super zero the level in...but I what I do is make the gantry is positioned super accurately over the table , because that is what matters the most. ( I thought)....second thought later, I think the level would also be affected by rigid the table is. ( So guess you need to do both) what are your thoughts?
It would be cool if it had a spring loaded center punch option for marking out holes. For high precision
That is a great idea. I am adding a sharpie marker and rotary scribe to my plasma table, but could also do a punch on a pneumatic cylinder. I hadn't thought about that for marking holes, but that can be even better than a marker.
So y did you buy the new one and upgrade to the 105? Bc I would like to do 1” on the regular and I’m wonder if your set up will do that
The plasma table I run where I work at has a laser on it and it helps to align the plate and all so do a trial run before you burn the part out
I just added lasers to my plasma table. I had my brother cnc machine a new break away torch holder and added 4 line lasers because I was tired of trying to get close to previous cuts just by dropping down the tip on both x and y axis.
The laser is a really big help trying to line it up next to a part you already did I the I run has a magnetic touch holder and when it his a part that is sticking out its get to be a pain in the ass after awhile
Your loud outside birds made the birds outside my window go nuts. I bet they were slanging bird insults.
whats the differnce froma Plasma Cutter and fiber laser
Since Shop Sabre bought Langmuir, do you have any knowledge of that line of cnc plasma machines?
I’m considering buying an entry level machine for my shop to get my feet wet and any help would be appreciated.
Happy for your new table… also shop Sabre need to look at their shirts and display the flag with the correct orientation..
The union.. part with the stars goes on the left when displayed vertically
Next job make a shield to protect your monitor from splashes/spatter during operation
Yeah the stand there is temporary! Maybe I can convince Tay to build his own shelter / cabinet and make a video on it :) - Walker
@25:00 .. Have you been drinking to numb the pain of the black, dead finger? Firsh mashine indeed.. 😂
So what are the changes on the table itself besides the deeper water pan?
I'll have to get Tay to clarify in future videos, but off of the top of my head... The water table is deeper, the motors are MUCH faster, it has the laser sight, comes with a "bubbler" (I don't quite know what that does yet), we upgraded from the Hypertherm 85 to the 105 that has the newer style of consumables, and many other things I can't quite remember! - Walker
Use a very small drill bit on the dark spot of your finger with thumb and finger of other hand. Slowly twist back and forth till blood comes out. Do not drill into the bed of your fingernail. Once the blood comes out all pressure will be gone. I have done this 5 or 6 times for smashed filgers.
thats exactly what i ended up doing, i guess walker didnt put that in the video haha
That might have gotten us demonetized haha, lots of blood in that video! - Walker
Oh I get it
"It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine." As a wise Wayne once said.
Wonder why the torch was not installed on the table
You will see the Sync cuts a lot better than the older powermax
2:11 Wyatt sticker
the sound is bad. But good video.
Nice table, but there aint no way in he** I would own a sync with those $$$$$ cartridges..
I love you
I love you too
You are going to "love" the sync cartridges.
The consumable life isnt great and it's expensive to run compared to regular consumables.
Took me about a week to go back to regular consumables from the sync stuff.
I have the older powermax 65 for my table and suspected the sync system would make it mindless for users and more profitable for hypertherm. The regular stuff works fine for me.
@@CGT80 the big downside of the sync system is that the plasma decides for you when it stops cutting with the cartridge even if it still cuts good.
It's a way to make more money and for some users like in construction with a hand torch it makes sense but for a cnc table not so much.
It feels ALOT worse then it looks.. lol Thats got me rollin!
Corporate shilling dance got me. Side note I will do a entire line dance and song number for that sexy beast of a cnc. I can neither dance nor sing.
That is so much harder to set up than a 3D printer 😂
So, have you sucked it up and pierced the base of your nail with a hot needle yet, to let out the blood build up??? Take it from a carpenter and Smith, it's the only way. It'll feel sooo much better afterwards. 😊
I have, it was spectacular
@@LiftArcStudios Yes, it can be quite the visual extravaganza! I'm glad you're feeling better.
You read and respond to my posts which, I try to keep reasonable and definitely appreciative of what you do. I've found it quite helpful.
Except I still need that 2XL-TALL shirt!! 😉
price?
I have that Nintendo shirt 😂
Not for nothing I'm going to buy a shop Sabre because of your videos. ...now if only I had more money...
1. projekt: build a kabinet for the pc
14:50 such fücking children
i love them
I'm sure that you're aware of it but on your previous sidekick machine the motors where clearpath servos which are way superior to steppers hybrid servos.
Hybrid servos are stepper motors with encoders on them..
Not sure why shop sebar step down their quality
Ok who really was using the ✂️?❤😂🎉😢😮😅😅
drill a relief hole in the base of that fingernail 1/64th drill bit you'll be surprised
Oh I did, it was spectacular
34:30 Imagine using the metric system and stop using values like these...
"We can have it draw boobies, and weiners". It this is the stuff you leave in the video, I'd love to see the stuff you cut out, lol!
I don't know if that stuff is allowed on TH-cam 😂 we're really just large children here in the shop
I like the videos but the constant camera shake is making the video almost unwatchable to me. The camera man appears to have some kind of steady mount but seriously, there's an incredible amount of movement going on. Even when the cameraman is standing still, the camera is not steady and doesn't seem any better than Tay's handheld selfies.
bunch of kids with a new toy LOL have fun
Would have stayed to watch your content, but your camera is to shaky.
:D
You guys don't seem to really do anything. It all looks like click bait thumbnails and titles.
Hey! Title and thumbnail guy here, just purely curious - what about this video's title & thumbnail did you find to be clickbait / misleading? Thanks - Walker
There is a technique for getting stuff wider than the door with one forklift. I used to do it all the time, getting a 12m length of steel through a 8m door. Start by going backwards and swing one end in, etc. need to have enough clear space on one side of door inside. Was when I was working for a company in Brisbane AU that manufactured CNC plasma cutters and routers.
