I couldn’t agree more. I learned more about the recent park flooding situation from Park Junkie than all my other Yellowstone sites combined. And, Park Junkie is so good in front of the camera.
I happened on to this also from the floods. About 20 years ago my ex husband and I visited about 20 national parks. I had the best time of my life. So I love these videos. Have a few on my bucket list.❤

I enjoy your hiking tours of Yellowstone and other National Parks; my favorite "triple visit" of National Parks are Bryce, Zion, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon; and my favorite drive between Wyoming and Colorado has to be leaving Jackson, Wyoming south on US 287 all the way into Fort Collins, Colorado: leaving Jackson, Wyoming you have the Teton mountains to your East, and the Rocky Mountains to your West.
So amazing to have you point out the sights as you hike. It gives a different perspective from being in the park. I love seeing those stone arrows, and hearing the history. So glad Clint didn't lose his footing in those fast riffles in the river. I live in So Oregon and every year there are people lost to the rivers here. It's hard to believe how strong that water runs. Thanks for taking us with you as you explore.
Perfect to see Yellowstone again through your video. I have only the best memories on time I was working in Yellowstone through exchange student program. I have worked in Fishing Bridge and year after in Canyon willage. Park is an amazing place. Greetings from Slovakia💪
Wow, great video trekking up Crow peak! It wore me out watching it. I have fished that area on the north fork of the Shoshone River many times and ran into Grizz on one occasion.
East side of Yellowstone has lots of griz. If you hunt in that area and get game the bears wait for gun shots and find our game if you don't get to it first. My brother lost a nice Mule deer buck to a griz.
I spent a week on that trail about 38 years ago! I was in the Boy Scouts doing maintenance on the trail. If you have time, drive up to Buffalo Bill reservoir. It would be interesting to see how much it is filling up with all of the rain and runoff. Enjoy your time!
Doesn't look like there is any trail there now. Boy Scouts do some good work, back when they were boy Scouts. My son was able to enjoy but they started to get weird at the tail end
absolutely gorgeous! the medicine wheel you mentioned I am familiar with, back in the eighties and maybe into the early nineties it used to be a really hairy drive to the top but they have re-configuered it so you walk more now and don't have that crazy drive

Haha! Making it back home early meant I was able to join in the last week of summer training. Kinda feels like kismet after spending all day doing swift water rescue to find this video!!! Glad you’re having fun😆🌊👍

Great video and very cool climb. The views from the top were amazing! I'm driving to Grand Teton & Yellowstone from northern Vermont in late August. Camping for 5 days in GT and 14 days in Yellowstone and definitely plan to experience some of the great hiking trails in the park.
I understood that the stone arrows at peaks were used by the early mail planes to help them navigate east or west when they carried mail and didn’t have any onboard navigation systems.
Fantastic trek. A lot of work setting that camera up going up and down the mountain. You probably climbed it twice with all of the camera backtracking! Would love to see the TeePee bison burgers and beer too! 😄
If you're ever up near Bozeman, MT north of the park give Hyalite Peak a go. Great alpine lake below the summit and a great view to the south of the entire Yellowstone basin. I was coming down off the top of Hyalite a number of years ago and was traversing a snow field in the saddle when I punched punched through the snow and fell into a large raging melt water tunnel underneath the snow field. I went on my butt getting washed down through the tunnel for about 150 feet before it spit me out on a scree slope at the bottom on the snow field. I was absolutely soaked and covered head to toe in a nasty slurry of water and thick mud. I looked rough but escaped with only bruise or two and a few scratches. I had to totally strip to get the gravel out of clothes and then hike out looking like a mud covered rat. People hiking up gave me some interesting looks...lol I was so nasty when I got to parking lot I stripped again and drove back to my place in Bozeman in my underwear....lol The outcome could have been worse.
Correction : Medicine Wheel is on highway 14 on the north end of the Big Horn mountains. Above Shell Wyoming not Lovell. No Medicine wheel in Lovell Wyoming. Lovell is in the basin. Just don't want anyone to get confused. Highway 14 divides. Alt. 14 and 14. East. Alt. 14 is very steep and switchbacks. Most people take 14 instead because the wheel is not far down on 14 alt. Plus Shell creek falls is worth stopping at on 14. Really not joking but alt. 14 being very steep.
Isn't it Highway 14A, between Lowell and Burgess Junction? It is a magnificent drive. Just beyond the canyon going East, if I remember correctly. Doesn't matter how I leave the East side of the park, I always seem to end up driving 14A through Dayton and Sheridan.
@@Backroad_Junkie Yes 14A Takes you down to Lovell... The other HWY 14 takes you down to Greybull.....this side isn't as steep. This route is so beautiful...and includes Shell Falls...and Shell Canyon...
Hi guys….great video. We are from the UK and have been to north west Wyoming on eight vacations spending around a total of thirty weeks in and around Yellowstone. We stayed at Pahaska Tepee on three occasions and stopped there in passing for breakfast, lunch and the gift shop on many trips as well as staying in their lodges. Right, the point of contacting you is your incredible climb up Crow peak and in particular that amazing Arrow Head. I’ve actually found it on Google maps and you can see it very clearly from the air. My point….is it genuine ? Was it really built hundreds of years ago or has it been built in recent years ? You mentioned there are others, do you know where please ? If it is genuine, why on earth would the native Indians build it on the top of a mountain and not down in a valley where everyone could see it ! Very strange and puzzling ! Loving your other videos, just starting to get into them ! Wish we could of made that climb, but we are a bit too old. We did thoroughly enjoy watching grizzlies on that mountain almost every morning and late evening on the times we stayed at Pahaska. Thanks again and stay safe out there. Des and Shirley.
My peak bagging days are mostly behind me so it's nice to scramble up the mountain vicariously with you guys. By the way, has anyone mentioned that Clint bears more than a passing resemblance to Brad Pitt when wearing his hoodie/hat headgear combination?
I believe a peak is an individual peak, and a mountain is comprised of more than one peak. [ie. Pike's Peak is a stand alone peak; whereas, Mount Evans is comprised of several neighboring peaks: Evans, Bierstadt, Rosalee, Warren,etc...]
Looking at these mountains from a commercial jet flying at over 25000 ft makes them seem even more flat. How do you know your not walking into a grizzly bear den or a hungry pack of wolves?
I live in one of the towns outside of the park...I dont feel the need to go visit there since bears, moose, deer, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, turkeys, etc., all wander through my town. And we generally keep bear spray close by....just in case...

We liked to ski up the North Fork back in the late 70's, early 80's during the winter. Road was open to Pahaska. Drank some beer in the bar there.

Wolves aren’t the issue especially since they don’t hang close to trails but grizzlies are always a possibility.
