Ohhh this is magical!!! I can see why you and Housemate James had to stop the car several times. Sometimes it’s good to be late to check in! You’re really showing that local sights are just as fun and memorable as those abroad. Thank you, I’m looking forward to the next half of your adventures.

There is a hotel called tigh and eilean in shieldaig , they also on the coastal bar and kitchen and village shop attached . All right in front of the loch you can catch some amazing sunsets there . I was lucky enough to work there last summer I can safely say the west coast of Scotland is one of the most beautiful places on earth .
@@CheapHolidayExpert was really quiet too. Just how I like it. Gorgeous scenery, particularly down the west coast. And the beach at Durness, you'd never have guessed it was on the very north tip of Scotland. Can't wait to do it again.
@@danielhindley8 It blew my mind, especially as I had trouble finding places to stay so I expected it to be heaving! I guess the lack of accommodation helps keep it clear though. The beach of Durness was beautiful. Our one day of gloomy weather coincided with the less aesthetically pleasing journey from outside of Durness to Wick, but I thought the rest of the scenery was pretty stunning - even on the East Coast.
@@CheapHolidayExpert it is all stunning I agree, but I particularly favoured the west coast. Ullapool was a gorgeous little town, our stay in Ullapool was overlooking the water, near the port and was an amazing view to wake up to in the morning. Bizarrely I think when we did it, we did it anti-clockwise which I think is the wrong way round. Big love for Scotland anyway. Back in 2016, I did a Top Gear Style race against the Sun. Lands End to John o Groats in one night, leaving at sunset aiming to get to John o groats before sunrise and did it (all be it in February) and the scenery coming home, sunny, blue skies but snow topped mountains was something to behold. Breathtaking scenery all year round
