Kinda hope these updates also happen with Genshin cause I suffering from trying to farm the handguards with its absurdly low rates to drop especially higher rarity one despite being on the highest world level. But I highly doubt there will be much quality of life for Genshin, I mean, they’re so busy hiring people to do horrible ads for Genshin. Yeah, it’s highly believable that someone with characters beyond lv80, Inazuma characters at that, just discover cryo regisvine (please note the sarcasm). Just putting characters trailers is enough really.
The first change is so specific, but so real and necessary that it shows how much the staff is hearing the community

The point here is that they keep modifying the game more and more, improving some things and adding new ones for players to have fun playing. In return, those who can afford it will spend money to speed up their progress in the game or to get the characters they want. That way they get the funds to keep the game free, to keep working on it and maybe even finance new games, new projects. That's how the world works. You are not obligated to spend a single penny on this game if you don't want to. I don't understand your problem.
I really want hoyoverse to include the trailblazer's room we can customize in the astral express, just like the serenitea pot in genshin, I think they will in the next few updates but I can't wait!

The res nerf really does makes sense, it felt waaaaay too high on the later floors of MoC that your MC can't taunt ANYTHING unless you have eff hit rate.
Yes, there was an imbalance between buffers and debuffers since buffs are 100% effective without needing to allocate any stats toward effect hit rate.
Their effect res are nerfed but I still think that you want to use effect hit rate body anyway. Their taunt are really useful so you want to make it works 100% of the time, or close to it
We dont have the number yet? I dont trust in things like massive or significant or other stuff, theres nothing like having the number

@@PossessedbyPhoenix Yeah, buffers like Bronya and Tingyun (Harmony) are at an advantage compared to debuffers like Asta or SW (Nihility) due to buffs are always guaranteed to be applied.
If a debuffer didn’t hit their debuffs, they are basically useless. It was way too punishing to run debuffers especially this early into the game where people don’t have good Effect Hit Rate pieces because everyone is still trying to farm gears for their DPS.
Qingque's normal attack button now glows when you have 4 matching jade in hand!
I mean, doesn't she have a whole ass animation for just for telling you she has 4 of a kind on her turn? Is a second visual indicator that she has a enhanced basic attack ready to go really necessary?

So many amazing additions like being able to play past events. I really hope they bring Star Rail's improvements to Genshin in 4.0.

@@ashron4472 Because Honkai is their favourite series. I play all 3 games (Lv88, AR60 & TL 58), its easy to tell the favoritism towards Honkai. HI3 is literally getting an overhaul with a new Unity engine in a few months.
Another little change I have noticed is that Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord attack seems faster now.

Yeah it's definitely faster. The impact and lightning effects are more visible too. I compared it side by side with old gameplay and it checked out.
Another thing to note at the sprint, after you attack, if you're previously had sprint on, you'll immediately go into a sprint instead of a brief slow-run.
It was definitely useful for player who loves destroying random barrels on the street like me lol

I honestly love how there's been so many little changes even in small animations like battle beginning and end, assignment claim ect they make it sm more fun
you can really see how mihoyoverse waited to see how the game is received before adding extra stuff. idle animations, voice lines, material locator
The voice lines were always avalible. They were just in a diffirent screen. The one where you can check out all the characters and stuff.

They just focused on utility and functionality before going into looks, something more games should learn from. My character screen takes considerably longer to load now though instead of instantly, there might be some needed improvements to it.
Voice lines are still too short. They could learn a thing or two from genshin in that department
The addtion of enemy tracking for materials is FANTASTIC! So many more games need that feature!
for real, just the other day i had been running around for various mats since i was out of energy anyways and it was so hard not knowing where exactly to look lol
Hoyoverse just took everything we needed in genshin and throw it into star rail, you can't argue about that
GI dev did acknowledge that fact about players missing out certain quest in the past in their last interview but doesn't have a solution for it yet. I'm guessing because the way events quest works in Genshin, they often change the way the area around looks which could be a bit more tricky to implement compare to events that just took place in a miniature area.

I think they have different departments to manage their own game.
In HI3 when there's bug in new patch they fix it ASAP. For HSR, there some occasional update to for optimization
Please do more of these - I love patch notes overviews like these and it's a nice way to clean up all that info others would normally glance over or not have time to read.

Happy that they made those enemies face away from the calyx, they were such pains to deal with when trying to farm. Keeping your sprint after a character change is also very nice to have
such small changes but save so much annoyance from players, i'm glad they learned some things from genshin surveys at least

Have you SEEN how FAR that hand robot jumps!? Literally tried running away from it after I had finished grinding that calyx and it ZOOMED into me.
It’s such a funny little annoyance that people only get if they’ve been grinding their harmony characters.
@@mercuri. the mere form of these surveys shows that they care. I didn't had any before [GI] and I only got some random in pubg (???) and I can tell their surveys were made by fucking merch-s. Every question was dry same and statistical[ly-irrelevant]. I filled some just for lulz inserting 0's in played time and etc and their excel-wide 10x12 [x2] table.
While in GI I see and feel logic and meaning behind every question, and when I have a mood I also fill "open-ended" part.

@@hollowlight1 if you really wish for gepard then you won't regret it the longer the game goes on. Shielder more useful than in an dodgeable rpg (star rail doesnt have dodge or evade stats) so shield is the only ways even heal wont help if enemy casually bursting like svarog for example
While I am with you 100% on saving for Kafka, you can always just use the 4 star version of her Light Cone. It’s farmable through echoes of war and Forgotten Hall
I actually find the first one very funny after finding it out myself even after getting ambushed a thousand times...
And there's also new visual effect on enemy's healthbar and toughness.
The change on Assignments are also a breather, I don't have to wait a thousand years for the UI to appear (but I know you can skip it by clicking the place where "continue" button supposed to be is before it appears but it's still nice to see them physically)
Also when completing scouting missions there are particles and a small flash
So many nice quality of life, from simple things like the information card or not ending sprint to amazing ones like playing past events, very nice to see it
Some of the changes were so subtle, I was like „huh, was that always like this?“, but definitely some very nice QoL changes. I’m especially happy about the changes regarding effect resistance and the feature to replay past events. I don’t have always time to play daily, so I really appreciate being able to get rewards from past events. That’s really something Genshin needs.
My Sampo wasn't happy on high levels, or my March.
The QoL improvements are so insane.
- do the past events for Genshin, and I will consider returning, I'm taking a break cause I just don't have time (the daily coms just take so long, on top of using resin and no auto-battle just eats up so much time, it became a chore) and then missing limited events just feels awful, but I didn't want to come back for just an event I would tire of.

I agree with you with almost every point except for auto-battle. And the main reason is that it is just wasting my time without having to put any input. I would rather play a game that needs my attention or just put a skip function which already many gacha games already had.
@@zoe4965 20 minutes ? You're really really fast. To burn resin and do the dailies takes me more something like 40 minutes. And I generally fall asleep on my phone before like the exhausted adult that I am.

Yeah, especially since that recent event gave out an achievement after completing that NPC's story. I was worried that future players would miss out on it, especially for completionists like me, so I'm glad they added the feature!

@@annaairahala9462 I don't think so, or at least I feel like there won't be. For dialogue options, I feel like they'll all be available bc of the amount of dialogue in the game rn and that's soon to come. I think I've gotten a few achievements for MC's dialogue options already, and I've just done the current trailblazer missions (archon quests) and a few companion missions, so I don't think much is needed if someone wants to get all the achievements
One small addition also is that in banner featured characters trial we can move and use technique
Finally, more Imaginary Damage characters. Good thing I already have Welt but it’s nice to see more. It’s like the Geo of Star Rail
It is like geo in genshin but actually useful and op LOL
The new imaginary units are supports. the 5 star is abundance and the 4 star is harmony. So far no imaginary hunt or erudition characters

@@AxelFeitz Haven't seen an enemy that forces you to use Welt though. There might be cases where more than one has img weakness, so having that type of dmg would be ideal, but not core like ice, fire or wind.
The QOL in HSR is so dang good it feels like heaven

People will say the problem is just the old engine is hindering something yadda yadda, I think the main problem is just them not communicating with the crowd at all and just leaving them with the unknown state of things.

I wonder if it also means the event story? or it's just the gameplay, hard to tell since the boxing event didn't have much story behind it. I'm probably overthinking it.

Such a great game developer they balanced things out in a near perfect way.
About the Guide teleporting you straight into the calyx, shadow, etc. screen, it was there in 1.0, just not for SU. When you teleport using the map, then the screen doesn't open. Everything else is new though, such great QoL features.
The QoL they added on v1.1 is already insane. I can't imagine how they'll imrpove the game more on the upcoming version, so glad I'm playing the game.

Great video covering plenty of changes I wouldn't have noticed! I also used to get ambushed at that first calyx so it's cool to see that addressed~
theres also countless ui changes, like when collecting calyx/relic/assignment rewards, the character overviews now shows: buff & debuff counters as well as a more compact layout, the skill/technique/ultimate and stuff icons have changed, you can now view lightcones from that screen as well
also the text colour of additional stats was changed from green to blue
battle ui has changed, like when weakness breaking an enemy, and an animation when they take damage, also some stat buff/debuff icons were changed, and specific eidolon and trace wording were changed to be more consistent (like dan heng & sushang's advance forward eidolons/passives, and more)
overall a lot of good that i really do appreciate
For the chat feature, it's still not in-game yet, however they are planning to announce when it gets implemented in-game through the announcements, other than that great video, really shows how they took the features players wanted in genshin and put it here along with the other QoL changes, its absolutely great.

There is also an animation to the toughness bar when it gets broken like it shatters it looks pretty cool imo. I tried looking for it in past videos but the animation was not there so I guess they just added it this version

Don't think the sword will return even if they add the feature, even in hsr you'll only get the rewards for clearing the stage. But the limited event items are gone (event shop items)

At least Albedo's sword is niche because it only serves him. Missing the Festering Desire is much more frustrating since it's a very good f2p option on several characters (including Albedo).

A QoL change you haven't touched on is UI overhaul of Ally/Enemy Details during battle (accessed by tap-holding a character portrait or tapping on the bottom left corner) which I appreciate since it doesn't feel as claustrophobic now

Another small updates, on assignments page the transition from Claim and Dispatch Again screen is now almost instand, chipping away enemy HP now shows small vertical line glow and toughness bar now shows cracks on the highlighter yellow are if using character that can break it
I’m also glad instead of just inserting you in a trial battle you actually get to walk around and then fight the enemy. It allows people to decide better if they actually want to pull for the character or not.
Bruh this is the first event that has no time gated system, very nice improvement, why make it longer when you just have time to do it now
Also Jing Yuan Lighting lord have faster tickrate when hitting. So it feels faster when he hits

A change not mentioned here is when you damage enemy's health or when an ability will break the enemy's weakness bar, you have new visual effects on the enemies' bars.

The past events part is HUGE. Genshin could truly never. I really hope they implement this as well.

@@johnd7760 Everything is already done and ready to go live, so yes, they can.
@@Gonzora The issue with Genshin's events is that since it's an open-world game, and most events affect the open-world in some way, letting players play any past event whenever would be an absolute nightmare to debug. At best Genshin would have to delay its current stream of content for like 6 months, and at worst it might not be possible at all.
There's also the problem of disk space. Star Rail is a much smaller game than Genshin so it can afford to keep events after they're over. For reference: as of time of writing, Star Rail is about 18 gigabytes on PC, while Genshin Impact is _82 gigabytes._

honestly very happy with all the new content/features/optimizations that were added in to the latest update-- thank you for compiling all the new stuff! :D
I think they should update all combat animations in the game to look a bit faster (around 33% faster).
So, we could use the "normal" speed instead!
Cause now normal speed is too slow and 2x speed is too fast.
Honestly though, I'm used to 2x speed but Normal is very very slow. Natasha's BA animation for example, it takes like 3-4 seconds just to finish.
I think it has something to do with human psychology

Funny how one of the first thing I noticed on release is that they don't perform idle animations in character screen, but earlier after maintenance I didn't even find anything weird when my character started talking while I'm afk on character screen.
Meanwhile I completely freaked out when they started moving lol

Wdym? I looked at the items and nothing quite fits the description.
If it is an ascension or trace material you only learn to craft higher tiers after reaching a higher Equilibrium. Enemies will only rarely drop tier 3 monster mats.
@AquaRuby it's ambergris of abundance, synthesis material, it says it can be obtained from defeating cloudford marastruck soldiers
I'm happy that Star rail is doing great and I hope it will continue to do great, but I can't help but be disappointed about Genshin receiving 0 QoL... Like it's been more than 2 years Hoyo😕

Not gonna lie this is a huge update for a game that just got released.
thank god they added unlimited items on shop because the coins don't do anything anymore :D and I also noticed that you can do tons of screen resolutions on windowed mode now low end-pc users will benefit from this!

One thing to keep in mind is that aside from Silver Wolf's, the companion missions will be added later on 28th June. I actually spent a couple of hours last night searching for the NPC trigger for Yanqing's mission before finding out.

@@god145 he can freeze with his E (if u want to do it) and most of the enemies wont get frozen bc of their rlly high effect res. Now using his E would be more rewarding and worth building. So he isnt only the shield guy.
Also when you click on the map and switch between locations, like from the Base Zone to the Storage Zone you can see a small text saying Navigating... Im not too sure if it was there before but I still find it interesting. 😊
Also, the assignment section's animation time have been improved, you can spam-click to re-assign the characters
I've seen some arguing in the comments about the event replay feature, so here are a few more details based on the in-game description:
- Not all events can be replayed, only some of them. The replayable events are supposed to have the Conventional Memoir icon.
- You can't obtain time-limited rewards in Conventional Memoir. I think the only rewards you get are for clearing a stage or a quest. For example in the 1.0 arena event you got 20 Jades and some mats after winning all fights in 1 of the 5 stages + 100 Jades and more stuff based on the number of rounds it took you to finish the fights. You can still obtain the former in Memoir but not the latter
I love watching these because sometimes it feels like nothing really happened in an update but it really shows how much work the developers put into the game, even on minor things like readable objects.

It remains to be seen whether this feature ("Conventional Memoir") will be available for LARGE events where there is VOICE-OVER, some CUTSCENES and other content that will OCCUPATE EXTRA SPACE, or it will be available exclusively for small events. For, at the moment, there is only one minor event of version 1.0, and it is too early to draw conclusions based on it alone. So, it's too early to rejoice.
They forgot to add the Chat System :(
