works great thanks! picked up the same r4 through amazon, a cheap 32gb pny micro sd card. took me about 5 mins to get it running =) seems to be working fine although just tried one of my nds games
@ okay thanks, would my r4 and sd with roms work fine without twilight ? Or do i need twilight? Does it make the games perform better or ? What are the benefits for twilight ? Im not good at following long guides thats why lol

is the twilight menu in the desc outdated?? this tut worked for me for a couple of weeks but then suddenly mid gameplay I got a red screen with "ABORTED DATA" or something along the following, I looked it up and it said the version of twilight menu was outdated. This is the only tutorial I've found that actually works on my r4 card so I hope I could get some help :)
Hello, Mine does not go back to the twilight menu when quit a game with, it shows there is no SD card inserted, please insert the sd card contains the twillight menu++ then try again, any idea ?
So the 32gb sd in general will be faster loading (for the r4) then an 64gb sd card? I can’t really find an 32gb sd with A2 written on it. These should be much faster then A1 because of the reading access being higher. But is that also true for the r4? Like sure the A2 cards are faster on windows but maybe not on the r4 card. Also is it important to make the allocation unit size 32kilobytes? I heard 64 should be faster loading. But again I don’t know if this works with the r4 or just in general. Sorry for my bad English and bad tech wordings.
Hello, thanks for the guide! One thing I would like to ask though is why DS Download Play doesn't work off the cartridge. I saw on reddit that it should work on Twilight Menu but whenever I try to host off the rom (Mario Party DS), it just ends up being a communication error as the other ds consoles can't download it for some reason. Is there a way to fix this or is this just not possible on an R4 cartridge?

RTS cards are actually DSTT clone cards, ask me how I know :( They don't support the latest version of wood, and Twilight Menu has bad compatibility. You are stuck with YSMenu or TTMenu. Also the stock software that supports RTS is terrible, the only flash cards that could do RTS decently where the DSONE and DSTWO. I'm still looking for one but they're expensive.
i have one of these from 2016 and it has a timebomb. Im assuming the reason i cant use it is because of that, so im wondering if i can remove the timebomb after its been set?

Even if a card is formatted to fat32. You'll have to check that it has a 32kb allocation size for the card to work properly.

Could you let me know what specific R4 card your using is? Also what game were you playing when you got the error?

Your card may need to be formatted under fat32 with 32kb clusters

You have a real time save (RTS) card, The files provided only work for Smart Update R4 cards.

We'll do a guide on removing a timebomb eventually, but for the time being you can see if changing the DS date & time will fix it

also when i go to re open twilight it gives me a SD/TF error
It could be an issue with the rom dump your using. As for the crashing was your card formatted with the correct cluster size?
mine just has a black screen and says loading is that normal?
Right when you turn it on or when your loading a game?
@@MCDNetwork right when i click on the Deep Labyrinth then i get a black screen with loading on it and it doesnt do anything else.
When you formatted it does it have a 32mb cluster size? also are the files from the twilight menu folder extracted to the root of the sd card?
It's more like a soft bomb. A hard bomb would kill the cart or the console.
Or at least thats my headcannon
