Could be wrong but looks like he severely depowered the weapon when he converted it to eye beams. The rifle blew the top off a small mountain. He eyebeams were vastly less effective.
It is weaker, not less effective. Those two things are different. It is actually more effective because the original weapon was too unwieldly. His modification, while less powerful, allows for a lot more maneuverability. All that power isn't good if you can't hit your target properly because your weapon weights a fuckton. Also, that wasn't the full power of the helmet. It broke when it shot.

Thats the dumb part. If he could reverse Atlantean tech and convert 3 foot gun into a helmet laser then these idiots wasted their time. Cause it seems like all you need to make it work is the jewel/rock component to focus the inner, whatever component you use to covert water and well...water...which I'm guessing this idiot installed some heat pump to create water, the vent system sucks the water into suit, When needed the water goes over the converter and charges the jewel. But even then I still don't believe this guy who make this. THe Reason Black Manta worked is because he was Atlantean. The funny thing is this guy failed. HARD. Giving him a bigger gun won't stop Superman lite
Why is everybody criticizing him for taking apart a “big laser gun” and making it apart of his suit. The gun is a hand held object that can easily get loss or disarm from him. As part of his suit it’s inseparable and gives him a surprise edge in battle.
I get your point , but on the other side it doesn't seem like manta is smart enough to take apart atlantean tech and use it in his suit.It just seemed very convenient that he was able to do so without providing much background or history that he could.
@@syedrayyan190 There's nothing hard to understand about what He did... It's easy , it's a gun, He just needs to find a way to redistribute the Water-energy converter , a way of making the energy beams pass from it to the eyes and boom ... That's it
Didn't seem to do much in combat now did it though? Last I checked he got an anchor smashed in his face along with the laser. If he would have kept the gun the way it was then that first blast that surprise hit Arthur and the redhead girl would have surely killed both of them, all he did when he changed it to a helmet is nerf the damage.
