Hey, it was effective. And you have to admit, being able to hold out against Superman for so long is pretty impressive for a human
@@Shadow-rz5pb superman clearly ramps up the damage as he goes through the fight, which is considerate I guess. it takes a bit before he even touches him, starting after he causes batman to fall like 1-2 stories and the guy just keeps going. throws him into a brick wall that was unsupported and just kind of loose, not even super hard, all things considered. Batman keeps going, superman tries to avoid hurting him as he chokes him out, the GL comes in and superman can flex a little more on that guy.

As a lifelong fan of DC, this is far more accurate depiction of each of their power levels in relation to each other. Glad to see the writers of this movie not showing Superman and Batman going toe-to-toe like some sort of mma fight. There is simply no contest btwn the two; Superman would handle Batman just like this movie depicts.

At this point, Batman started making mental notes on Superman’s abilities, how none of his gadgets affected him, and how to fix that for the future.

Yeah he knew he could stop the fight at anytime but was testing for weaknesses. Poison, electricity, sound, explosives, what a beast.
And later on he found out that superman's weakness is just a rock.

Look at Batman's quick thinking and reaction to Superman, regardless of whether he could stop him or not It's pretty impressive. It's a great display of Batman's physical limitations, while pointing out the fact that he is still extraordinary for a human. He could take down most street levelers, and low level superhumans with a lot of these tactics alone 👑

This was the first time Batman met Superman, and Batman could have ended the engagement early if he wanted to by pulling the whole "Clark" thing when he realised it was a misunderstanding, but he wanted to see what Superman could do and how he was affected by his gear.

That’s why I like this movie. It shows what would realistically happen if Batman and Superman fought.
Batman hitting Supes with everything he’s got in his utility belt is really telling. Batman essentially tested what could’ve worked and now knows none of it did, so his adaptation was already in play.
The whole fight was basically to get information, to figure out what Superman’s weaknesses were and what weren’t. The Sonic beacon was the only thing that seemed to stun him, even if it was for a moment.
I guarantee Batman was already thinking of means to defeat Superman should it ever become necessary, especially after their first encounter. Goated hero
It comes full circle in Hush, which is also pretty cool.

Amazing how this movie shows a better fight between Batman and Superman in 1 minute than an entire 2 hour movie called "Batman V Superman" does.
We must have seen a diffferent movie. For as terrible as that movie was alot of people agree that the fight was done well at least.

Firstly, it's worth noting that my comment said that this animated movie showed: "a better fight" than in the official Batman V Superman fight. That statement in itself does not mean that fight in the live action movie was bad. Just that it's "worse" in comparison to this movie.
In this fight, we actually see Batman use a variety of weapons that are nowhere to be seen in the actual Batman V Superman fight. We see him use an electric shock against Superman, although we also see that that has no effect. We see him use his stealth bomb smoke only for Superman to see right through it. Sure, he used a stealth bomb smoke in the live action movie as well, but it's never explained how Superman couldn't see through it. Many people theorized that the smoke was made out of lead (somehow) But that is never stated nor implied in the actual movie.
I do appreciate how both movies used a sound box to use Superman's superhearing against himself. It's a shame that Superman just destroys it in both versions immediately, because it seems to be the only device that Batman has that actually has any sort of effect on Superman. The only other alternative is kryptonite, which just feels like such a cop-out
@@carealoo744 Fair enough, in the actual comic book this movie is based on they never really fought anyway. Batman tried talking to Superman from the start but Green Lantern kept trying to provoke him. Personally I think that is my favorite version.

There's one part of this depiction of Superman that's off, they show him flying through random buildings, breaking things and doing all kinds of unnecessary destruction. Supes usually avoided randomly destroying things

Yea, it bothered me a bit, too. What I tell myself is, since Supes powers are that ridiculous, that he can still feel and see every person around him, so he probably punches Green Lantern just right so nobody gets hurt.

it’s cause this is New 52 Superman who is a little more aggressive as both his parents died in a car crash border he fully became superman. He matures as the story progresses though! And starts to resemble more the superman we know.
I haven’t read the comic that this movie was based for a while and don’t remember. Do you know if Supes causes unnecessary damage in the comic?

@@basementbrickfilms4821 Yes he did. If I'm remembering correctly Hal thought he was a myth when he first met him which tells you that this is earlier in his career before he came out of the shadows and started working with the GCPD.
But the problem with this is that this movie takes heavily from the new52 which basically shortened Batman's career but kept most of his major continuity.

Superman is depicted rather accurately in this movie. No bullshit weakness, the only thing that can really effect him is large force knocking him around, but that’s all it can do. It’s certainly always refreshing to see the characters depicted with actual power level taken into account.

More superman lives more power he get from the Sun. He can also resist to the kryptonite, untill he start to be immune at it. But even if it is under the radiation of that green crystal, he has a strong force of will. The only reason why batman beat superman is because the kryptonian doesn't want to hurt somone, he is scared by his own power. Superman can destroy a solar sistem with a blink of his eyes (and it's not a very big exaggeration).

Batman is never in danger of being killed because he has super speed and invulnerability like Superman. It's the reason he can get punched over a hundred yards through the air, land on a brick wall with enough force to knock it over, and get right back up and keep fighting.

I love that in basically any iteration of the Justice League it's Batman who figures out who's who, and how their powers work before anyone else. You'd think Clark would be able to be up to par with Bruce's intelligence, especially since he IS an investigative reporter. They kind of LOVE sniffing out clues if a case is cold. But Clark _always_ reverts to his x ray vision to find out who Batman is. Even in TAS crossover episode.
Well, it's because of these powers that sometimes Superman is a better detective than Batman.
For example, as demonstrated in "Knight Time" of the Superman: Animated Series, where he needs to investigate Batman's disappearance with Robin and they can only find him thanks to Superman's super vision and super hearing, managing to find nano robots and hidden audios that no human vision or hearing could ever perceive.
