  • Coheed and Cambria @ Guitars for Life
    Letchworth Village, NY 06.09.2001
Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Josh Eppard, Mic Todd
    4:38 Devil in Jersey City
    10:40 Neverevder
    17:10 Hearshot Kid Disaster
    23:50 Time Consumer
From my recollection, this is the first show post-Shabutie AS Coheed and Cambria.
Not sure who filmed this (might have been me). I was definitely at this show as I was both working the event and my brother's band Evil Kitty played directly before Coheed.

I'm from Nyack. My grandmother worked at Letchworth and I vividly remember this room from my childhood memories. Claudio worked at the old church turned venue. The Nyack Center / The Back Door. I went to The Nyack Center for summer camp. We must have spent a good deal of time around each other, but I don't remember him. I just think it's amazing that such an ordinary man had so much creativity and talent in him. I had the pleasure of meeting him many years ago. Such a kind and gentle person.

It was so original and unlike anything I’d ever heard. I immediately knew they’d become one of my favorite bands, and here I am almost 20 years later and it’s still true. Claudio just shrugged and said "We're just gonna keep playing" and they continued to perform knowing they only had like a 5-6 song set. I was going nuts, because of instead of playing they forged ahead, that was the exact moment I fell in love with them. Then midway through the next song it kicked in and the whole place went bananas. That first track sound like a slightly lighter ATDI from "in/casino/out". That's good. JpD.

true. makes sense since coheed cites ATDI as an influence. and now we see coheed influencing bands like Followship. the circle of prog/emo life continues

I googled it and Claudio is the same age in this video that I am now. I look up to this band so much, I hope that some day I'll be able to make music like they do, not going so well right now but I'm not giving up.

I saw them about 1 year after this for the first time. They opened for River City High and totally stole the show.

I mean what the fuck. With all the empty paradises in the span of life eternal, we were lucky to have fallen right where we landed. If only cos we got to witness this.

People foeget that in the post grunge period, long hair wasn't cool. So glad that didn't last long. Long hair IS part of Rock.

They played at the westcott community center here in Syracuse a few times back in these days. Pretty much local/regional hardcore/punk rock shows.
