OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING ME IN YOUR VIDEO! (I am hunterteh1337, but most know me as DMJ) I completely forgot this match ever happened. I just now came to your channel to look for some insane play in the effect modes and was super shocked and happy to find this. Thank you again and I hope you are enjoying classic mode :D
it's a match, I don't think they want to risk topping out early on 19. Only really good players play consistently aggressive on 19 in competition, because you need really good tap speed or das control to do it
Yes I will admit I'm not the most comfortable going for tetris's on 19, I usually just line out lol (I am the player on the left) I choked more than normal at the end because I was so nervous
Wow, it's really cool to see Doremy play a type of tetris he hadn't madtered yet. I wouldn't stand a chance against him modern tetris, but at classic I would actually have a good shot! But still, GG to both players.
it was interesting to see how he stacked his pieces, like at the beginning you could see him stacking how he would in modern tetris, so it put him in a disadvantage because of his stack layout. but then later on you can see him change his strat and use the favoured right well layout.
I’m gonna have to enjoy this while I can, I told myself I’m not gonna watch you until I get ppt2. I want the experience to unfold with no knowledge. So ima miss this.
The pieces are coming so fast that unless youre hypertapping, you're not getting any progress if you misdrop - and if you do (which happened to doremy) it's game over. Hypertapping (pressing the left or right button incredibly fast) at higher tiers in classic/NEStris is pretty much nearly a requirement, if you don't its a toss up whether or not you are able to get pieces where they need to go. Relying on DAS (delayed autoshift, holding left/right) can work in your favor but hypertapping works much better if you can manage it due to control. Classic tetris works in a way that pieces spawn one block over on the right side so its better to use right wells to clear lines. But mix a misdrop on the left side and that with higher speeds a misdrop on the so left and you have a well to clear or getting pieces to left well once the pieces come down with fewer frames means you're not getting anywhere. It looks like doremy tried with a J and an O but they didnt make it and it was over. Just wasnt in the cards for it to work with the speed. TBH I think doremy might've been using DAS here but I could be wrong. tl;dr shit was too fast, misdropped twice due to speed
Doremy is on the right though. And after DMJ (the other player) got a score higher than Doremy (who died first), it didn't make sense for him to continue - he already won
Hella musical. Even the sound effects sounds like a part of the music.
they are! the beats in the music is tuned to every movement you make
@@LilHana That's the coolest thing i've ever heard.
That's pretty much the main draw of Tetris Effect. Synesthesia with tetriminoes.
@@foolish137 it's a great game, get it if you can
I NEED a version of 1989 pt. 2 with the level 20 piece sounds

Good job here! Do you have a tetris channel?
@@xino_z Sorry for the late reply, but I have Tetris videos here on my TH-cam channel and on my Twitch channel: DMJ_81

1:11 T-Spin in Classic Tetris
Noice
You should have watched the grand final of this year's CTWC, dog playing tetris did a tonne of tspins and played one handed while typing on his pc
Feel like there was a lot of discomfort on 19 on both sides, left kept burning even very manageable stacks.

Classic is a whole different beast. Most godlike modern players have difficulties in level 19+.
Meanwhile

And BOOM dirty tetris for Doremy :D

Doremy and Wumbo playing classic tetris. Can't wait for Joseph to start playing modern
Doremy definitely has the potential to maxout
yoo that was cool not as fast paced but still entertaining. doremy at CTWC soon ? PauseChamp ?
the classic tetris brain is there, as soon as you get more comfortable on 19 the PBs will start flowing, especially since you're a tapper
Wasn't expecting that win snatch, but I'd say both players put up a good fight

have you had the chance to try tetris effect with vr?
You're gonna improve real fast I can tell
Speed level 20 - 24 are more stressful in cta than insta drop speed in Tetris effect
Definitely
I’m a noob, how come at around 11:30 doremy just kinda... stopped? Like it was clearly intentional

Doremy vs Wumbo at classic when?
Lol Y finally Wumbo can’t spam c4w
Doremy is improving a lot faster than Wumbo is given the time spent grinding.
@@intermitttence2022 This is true, Doremy is posting a lot better PBs than Wumbo.
@@absurdpotato4004 I saw someone attempting that during a match last week. It was interesting.
wow! i didnt know that you posted your losses! but i guess you just dont lose often o.O
@Вероника Заглотова AAAAAAahhhhhhhhhhh
Is the classic theme of this came from dlc?
Now this is epic
GG for both but press F to doremy
Hi doremy
Sorry I'm american and I was trying to figure out what the 15th month was...
That was close
Couldn't agree more :)
This is Good
nice
Oh my god seeing and understanding doremies strategy only without tspins
